Has nothing to do with improving your profile unless your photos are just awful. You have to be white and/or tall and/or jacked and/or extremely handsome and/or have photos with other attractive people, especially women. That’s it. If you don’t believe this then create a white male model catfish profile with no bio and prepare to get blackpilled when you get hundreds of matches and opening messages.

Mostly for attention/validation. Most women can date or have sex whenever they want regardless of whether they get made up or go out. Attention for women especially on dating apps is like porn for men. I’ve read Models and I feel like Manson must be much more redpilled than he lets on.

This is the exact opposite of what I observe. Attractive Western women are the most socially privileged class in the world and their bodies enable them to get what they want when they want it. Maybe you don’t live in a major city like I do? Like yeah if you live in a small town in the middle of nowhere it doesn’t matter how hot you are. But in any decent sized city you basically are guaranteed a fun social circle and men constantly trying to impress you.

You need to divest yourself ASAP. IMO it’s virtually impossible to maintain frame if she’s about to move away. Back off and let her pursue you, and make yourself relatively unavailable. Pursuing someone you know is about to disappear could seem very needy. Just my $.02 though and I tend to err on the side of caution.

This is the type of advice women give to desperate men on Internet forums who they’d never be attracted to anyway. It’s rare that a man who could benefit greatly from such advice doesn’t already know it or would find it very useful at increasing his game. They mean that you’d better try hard if you’re not 6’2”+ and jacked. Those rules don’t apply to the same extent when the guy is intrinsically attractive. I take care of myself and dress and groom very well and keep my room and car clean, etc., …

Yes. My most recent ex was borderline (didn’t vet enough - my mistake) and I became her emotional tampon. However, whenever I was even in a remotely bad mood, she internalized it and got cold. I.e., she was allowed to be upset, but I wasn’t. What’s new?

I regret not emotionally pursuing my “romantic fuck-buddy” from a couple years back. It was more of an situationship but we were de facto dating for a few months. I wasn’t in a good place mental health wise and she moved away anyway so probably nothing lost, but I still wonder sometimes what could have been.

Chasing as a man doesn’t work. If a man has to chase to get a woman’s attention, he’s already lost. Woke men and women know this, which is why those men don’t chase and those women DO (within reason.) They understand that is their role, and that self-awareness is very attractive to me. Whether or not the woman realizes it, her chasing me is a gesture of empathy - that she understands modern dating culture and why I should be reluctant to chase her, knowing how many options she has. So she’ll do …

There is just something inherently disgusting about the idea of dating or even sleeping with the mother of another man’s child. I suspect the vast majority of men feel this way but won’t admit it openly and bury the feeling to justify their cuckery. Evolution has done everything in its power to ensure that men don’t waste their resources on genes that aren’t theirs, but it seems like many men just don’t care anymore. To be clear, you should be free to do whatever you want. It’s not for me though…

Technology has and will only magnify existing biological imperatives. Conversely, I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone but Chads and desperate/low value women dumped dating apps.

This has a lot to do with pills. It’s more evidence that looks are king and if you’re attractive you can literally treat people like garbage and still have them chase you. It’s also more evidence of the dark triad being attractive to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/19 11:23 AM

OP didn’t say that men don’t use social media. They said that social media is especially salient to young women because of the great amount of validation it gives them. Arbitrarily, only 5-10% of men get the same level of virtual validation as probably 90+% of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/19 06:37 PM
14

Maybe, but the conflating variable is that “bad-boys” tend to be hot. The aggressive personality and the nice body are highly related to natal androgen exposure. An ugly bad-boy is just an antisocial neckbeard (unless he’s high-status or wealthy.) So looks are, indeed, everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/19 02:24 AM

There are always exceptions to the rules and they’re usually irrelevant. The vast vast majority of women will not be attracted to men who aren’t taller than them. “I once went on a few dates with a woman who was wearing makeup and I lost attraction for her because, to me, it signifies low self-confidence.”

I know and I agree. By superficial I was merely referring to the fact that we judge mate value primarily by appearance - the consequences and importance of that judgment are by no means superficial.
/r/seduction01/12/19 04:39 AM
10

Ok? We all know that looks are a huge factor in attraction. There’s no need to feel bad about it and virtue signal your guilt. Humans are all superficial fucktards. It’s disgusting but that’s the way it is and it’s counterproductive to analyze it or feel bad about it. All other things being equal, that unattractive girl would have chosen a better looking man over you given the opportunity, just like you’ve done to her.

I know the grass is always greener and all but I really don’t buy this. If we were talking about money, then sure. But we’re talking about basic social/psychological needs here. Most people aren’t the Buddha and it’s normal and healthy to need some degree of external validation.

Sorry, I edited the end of my comment like 3 times probably while you were writing your reply. The absolute number of men willing to fuck you doesn’t matter. The point is that, at any given time, you can get on tinder and find an attractive person to hook up with. Yes texting your friends might be weird, but if you’re attractive then it would work for some of them. And yes if your sex drive is low or you’re asexual then these benefits are minuscule, I agree. But you are in the vast minority.

Guaranteed sex and social influence/status. Is it really that hard to wrap your mind around? As another commenter said, you don’t realize what a privilege it is because it’s your baseline. Imagine going weeks, months or even years with no interest from the opposite sex or only from unattractive men. This isn’t trivial. It’s a basic human need that is GUARANTEED to “pretty young women” but not to 95% of men. Not only sex but attention, interest and validation from people you admire is also extrem…

You are literally withdrawing from the tingles she gave you - dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, doesn’t matter. I’d highly recommend seeing a shrink if it’s been that long. Not to imply there’s something “wrong” with you but it can’t hurt to just get things off your chest with an objective third party. Panic attacks are no joke and you’re not less masculine for experiencing anxiety. It all comes down to how you handle it. Time to make it your bitch. I.e., if it’s not a “Fuck yes!” then it’s a no. Obviously this isn’t literally true but the point is that you wouldn’t want to be with someone who doesn’t really want to be with you (in whatever capacity.) So you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble if you just consider ambivalence a no.

It’s not a judgment. I have mental health issues as well. And I will never date someone with either BPD (again.) Emotional instability is THE #1 factor predicting relationship conflict. We know this from research. If you just want to chill or sleep with her then fine but don’t be surprised if drama or toxicity ensues. Again it’s not a character judgment, it’s a judgment of relevant skills and attributes. Just like you wouldn’t hire a cashier who couldn’t do math, you shouldn’t date someone who i…

This post is a perfect example of men severely misjudging what “average” and “achievable” looks are. Realize that being tall (yes he is), white (neither of which are “achievable”) and having a decent chin literally puts you in the 95th percentile of what most Western women find attractive. He also has nice hair IMO. Men who look like he does do not need resources like this to help them. You are severely underestimating the importance of his looks here. Sorry, I should have been more explicit with my post in relation to TRP. I am neither endorsing nor condemning TRP but merely explaining why it is very attractive to a certain subset of men. Aside from the dehumanizing aspect (which some have said is just “locker room talk” and thus irrelevant or a matter of vernacular) what do you disagree with TRP about?

With average women - just a mindless physical release that’s barely enjoyable With above average women - ditto but actually enjoyable With hot women - Validation. Occasional euphoria. This is it. You’ve won the game of life - all your efforts have been rewarded, and you know they have not been in vain. You are valuable. You don’t just know that, you FEEL it.

I doubt things will ever “go back.” OLD has only amplified already existing dynamics. Us “average” men used to at least suspect the truth of things - that women we thought were equally attractive as us were only dating up, and had dozens of suitors. OLD now confirms all of that and more beyond a doubt and IMO male resentment will only grow as more and more become disillusioned and wake up. Maybe there will be a breaking point beyond which only average and better women and top 5% of men use datin…

Because it makes sense and explains mating behavior on a fundamental level. Humans have existed for 200,000 years but modern society for only a few hundred, arguably a few decades. In general, there is far less pressure on women to develop confidence/social skills as compared to men. When your society considers you a “prize” just for existing (assuming minimum of average looks) and the opposite sex constantly propositions you, what incentive is there to improve yourself?

I honestly have no idea. I’ve occasionally been able to seriously date or sleep with women who were pretty much 10’s in my book, but have gone for months-long stretches with zero female attention or only getting app likes from unattractive women. I went on about 10 dates with mostly mediocre women over the span of a couple months last year and was ghosted by every single one of them, but had and have slept with/dated women much more attractive than them (before and since.) You can sleep with a lot of women and still have crippling social anxiety and self-esteem issues. Trust me.
