| – | American men are becoming disinterestedI don't think it's a question of more spaces. It's more like the effort of going to a 3rd space, is significant outweighed by effort of at home entertainment. In some cases the money spent on at home entertainment, also just gives you so much more. Like why buy a cinema ticket for 1 movie when you can get a month of a streaming service. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/06/25 09:34 AM |
How do you feel about being the "low maintenance option"?It was more that they felt like they didn't need to put in a whole lot of effort to keep their partner satisfied in a relationship. Tbh, I see this more as a compatibility thing. Like I don't think my bf/fiance has to put in "a whole lot of effort", I think is the way he is living his life is generally fulfilling my needs. Not that we don't have an occasional conflict, where I feel something is neglected, but I just don't think it takes that much (conscious/intentional) effort. I think this is 8… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/06/25 02:50 PM
When a man asks, “What do you bring to the table?” I immediately get the ick.People should be able to use their brain wrinkles to discern whether the person they spending time with has the qualities they are looking for out of a relationship. Use their brain? In this economy? But seriously, people are so different, like one person will love a partner who loves camping, and hiking, and wants a campervan, and others will find their perfect partner in somebody who's dream to have their own garden with chickens, and loves carpentry. The question "what do you bring to the tab… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/05/25 06:08 PM
Why do S.I.M.P.s tend to be men, but PickMes tend to be women?I always thought that's simps were simping for one girl. Like either a friend or their fave streamer. So it's kinda the same thing. There doesn't exist a phase "pick me boy" (well not really) - but that could describe a simp. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/05/25 06:43 AM
Question for Women: In your opinion, what is the best way to approach a woman who has been your friend for quite some time?Yes, this. Begin to naturally escalate BUT look for signs for confirmation or rejection. Don't make her uncomfortable with excess physical touch or innuendos. Be filtry and touchy, do cute things, and try to spend time with her separately from the friend group but during events. I agree, I don't think a confession could work - it's too out the left field, but I can't really image it going well. Unless she already likes him. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/05/25 06:41 AM
| – | Why do some women wear full-zip hoodies off the shoulder? That your perception, and while I don't disagee on a personal level (I think that style also looks bad) - keep in mind they want to look like "gangsters and thugs". That's the message they want to send. It's not a coincidence or mistake - that's the intent. There are also going to be people who will see those guys and think they look "cool" and have a lot of swag. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/05/25 09:52 AM |
Would you like to have a husband who is still a virgin?Same. The man is not a virgin by the time of marriage in my relationship. I would not marry someone I haven't had sex with, or someone I didn't live with. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/05/25 05:49 PM
Motherhood is disrespected from both the left and the right — no wonder women are having fewer kidsClearly looking at current birth rates, people do in fact choose not to have kids. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/25 03:36 PM
Alimony laws force men to provide after the relationship ends. Men seek sex and affection. No laws force women to uphold that role in or outside of the relationship. Also, often it's time limited, in my country, I believe even by law to 2 years max, which is why my grandmother and mother from a young age told me to absolutely prioretise career, and never rely on a man for anything. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/25 09:30 AM
| – | Women of Reddit, specifically single women. Do you sometimes feel envious when you see a very attractive man out on a date with a very unattractive woman?Must be a location thing. If I even see mismatched couples it's almost always a much prettier woman (maybe not even prettier in like a raw sense, but better dressed/put together). However, really, most couples feel very matched. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/25 09:19 AM |
Motherhood is disrespected from both the left and the right — no wonder women are having fewer kidsI agree that if the parents can't take care of said kids themselves, and is going to expect the "village" to pick up the slack, they probably shouldn't be having them. That support would be a privilege, not a societal obligation. It's not picking up slack - it how it was for most of history. The idea that only 2 people are raising the kids, is very new (post WW2) and from the cultural west. More tribal societies even now raise kids communally - I think they did a study of a tribal society in Ind… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/25 07:56 AM
Are there any feminist or blue pill solutions to the male loneliness epidemic?Congrats, but by law it is illegal, except in designated places, and loads of people do get in trouble. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 11:53 AM
How many people here are happily married/in longterm relationships? If so, what is your perspective on the common themes and posts in this sub?Idk, maybe it's all the mirrors but I always feel like I'm being observed and can't focus for shit. Also like such a loser when I can't figure out how some equipment works. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 11:22 AM
How many people here are happily married/in longterm relationships? If so, what is your perspective on the common themes and posts in this sub?My 2 cents about Guy point 3 - gym, to me at least, is the most boring activity you can do. My advice is to join a sport - all the benefits of gym, combined with socialisation and actual opportunities to meet new people. I go to the gym - but I treat it as a supplement to the sports I do. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 11:05 AM
How would you feel about your current or future partner asking to have different beds/bedrooms?For healthy adults I am against this on principle for long term. We have done this short term (hotels), or even at home (sleeping on the couch) for medical reasons. But long term sleeping together and morning cuddles are the best, and overall sleeping together brings are closer I think. The real deal is having two blankets/comforters. This is the real GOAT solution. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 09:37 AM
People will fight to the death to make sure the social expectation for men to approach to women is still kept as a social standard. Despite the many women complaining about creepy men.The problem with bait, is that good bait is indistinguishable from the real thing. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 09:28 AM
N COUNTS WEEKLY DISCUSSION THREADHow are you supposed to know tho? This is not something that comes up, neither women or men have ever spontaneously shared this with me, and I assume most people are in the same situation. Regardless of your option, how are you supposed to know? Ask? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 09:24 AM
Are there any feminist or blue pill solutions to the male loneliness epidemic? They exist in Europe tho. In Poland you can't drink in public (like parks, beaches), with exceptions of designated places (rare). People ignore this en masse, but never the less, you can get fined for it and I know peope who did get fined, and had run ins with the cops myself. The gov can remove barriers, and create spaces but still it's up to the people to show up. And will they? I'm not so sure about that. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 08:03 AM
Most Marriages Need Systematic Cultural, Societal and Economic Constraints to SurviveThe aim I'd assume is to die with zero. Spend it all, have fun, and not worry about the rest. Or if you have excess wealth you can donate it to general causes that benefit future generations (national parks for example). | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/05/25 07:57 AM
Are there any feminist or blue pill solutions to the male loneliness epidemic?Personally I disagree with the "male" part of the loneliness epidemic, and data does too. There are overall decreases on social connections across the board - less family time, less companionship, less social engagement. Men and women and both feeling lonely - and yes, there are more men in those statistic, but it's not like 90% of lonely men to 10% of lonely women. Real life data shows that the stats for men and women are a lot closer. Calling it a male only problem really works against finding… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/05/25 12:32 PM
Most Marriages Need Systematic Cultural, Societal and Economic Constraints to SurviveIt really that being a DINK couple, or even a SINK is just better than having kids. As someone in a DINK lifestyle - it really the most money, free time and energy I will probably ever have. Kids will be a drain on every single one of those resources. And what do they offer in return? It's not a known variable, it's like exchanging what you know you like, for a big ass question mark and a bunch of known negatives. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/05/25 08:07 AM
Most Marriages Need Systematic Cultural, Societal and Economic Constraints to SurviveI saw stats (this was either for EU or my country) that women and men, before any children, want a first child at about the same rate. After the 1st child, about the same percentage of men want a second child, but the rate for women plummets. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/05/25 07:24 AM
Most Marriages Need Systematic Cultural, Societal and Economic Constraints to SurviveThe opportunity cost is so real and the DINK lifestyle is so good. If your smart about it, DINK is probably the most money and free time two people will ever have combined. It's hard to not see children as a net loss, in that situation, even when they are wanted. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/05/25 06:30 AM
