I believe the overturning of Roe v Wade and the restrictions that followed in multiple states is the obvious reason. Can you elaborate on your second question?

This is an issue even for families that do get pregnant with children that they want if there happens to be complications with the pregnancy or if the life of the mother is endangered. I really don’t see anyone saying that they want to use abortions as a contraceptive. Nobody wants an abortion, it’s the last resort and a horrible experience.

That is a valid point. And the items I’ve raised above seems also to be relevant for the particular posts in that sub. They are effectively alienating about 50% of the population which is incredibly counterproductive

I honestly believe it makes sense that they are panicking. I think that the loss of reproductive rights that women saw under the Trump administration is unprecedented. The fear of an unwanted pregnancy is very real. Even if they have a wanted pregnancy the current restrictions imposed by some states make the doctors hesitant to provide medical aid if the life of the fetus is endangered. I dunno man - I think they usually give some balanced answers. Even if they take her side it can at least help OP understand their issues from her side. I mean, I don't understand where she is coming from and why she talks like she does but that seems to be the case for everyone on this subreddit. So in order to understand why she behaves like she does and how she justifies her actions it makes sense to ask someone who actually understands it. The most important part is communication both sides …
