But there isn’t abortion everywhere. And this doesn’t make things fair for the genders. There are fundamental differences between the person carrying a baby in their body, and the person whose sperm impregnates them. In terms of what they physically have to go through and therefore in terms of their agency to make decisions about their own body. Nothing is fundamentally fair. If you have sex with someone, you risk making a life. That’s the contract you’re signing by having sex. Don’t like it? Do…

As a woman I would just avoid men who had that kind of contract. I don’t want a kid right now. I’ve had an abortion in the past as it wasn’t the right time for me. But if everything went wrong and I ended up pregnant and couldn’t have an abortion for whatever reason, I would want to know that the two people responsible for creating the life were equally responsible for caring for it.

I don’t fully agree with the proposal. But I think the point of being able to opt out would mean that if the woman intended to get pregnant, they would decide not to have sex with that particular man in the first place, knowing they had no interest in being a father. The benefit I see it having is it prevents cases where a woman falls pregnant, decides not to have an abortion because the father says he’ll help, and then he changes his mind and leaves her alone once she gives birth.

Only in places where abortion is legal. Where abortion is illegal, if a man can do this, it just doubles down on making it all the woman’s problem. Both parties get to have sex so both have to live with the consequences if there’s no way out.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 04:04 PM

Disagree. If men never talk about their problems or anything deeper, it makes them come across very 2D and superficial. Both people opening up to each other is what creates a connection, it’s not meant to be a one way street

I don’t mean early stages of a relationship, I mean of women‘s sexual lives. Me faking an orgasm with my high school boyfriend wouldn’t give my current partner the excuse to not know what I like

I never said it was a good thing to do. You’re looking at this as women “complaining” whereas from where I’m standing they’re just…asking for things to be different? You can acknowledge that you have fed into things being the way that they are, but still want them to be different going forwards. I cba to keep arguing with you as you clearly have an agenda to make women out to be the cause of all problems
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 07:33 PM
3

Never said she couldn’t but if both people care about each other it should go both ways. Bullshit do women not care. Reason so many women fake orgasms is not to hurt the man’s feelings. For many women, the early years of sex are more about pleasing the man than pleasing themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 06:31 PM

It would also be smaller if men proactively asked what women need. It’s a two way street. Good sex means both people caring about the other enjoying it.

I didn’t say there’s anything wrong with that. I just explained why OP doesn’t see many women venting here. Disagree about men being seen as pussies for having feelings. There is a significant minority of the population that believes toxic things like that, for sure. But there are a huge number of people (I’m willing to bet it’s the majority) that don’t feel that way - and many of those people outwardly express what utter bollocks that view is. We all have a responsibility to choose which voices…

This isn’t a dating sub. It’s a purple pill debate sub. The majority of women who complain about dating (which is a LOT of women) don’t attribute it to red pill/blue pill/any pill ideology. They just attribute it to…a problem with dating. So if they’re gonna post about it, it’ll be in a dating sub. However they also might jus not post about it at all. Back when I was single I would’ve been much more likely to talk to friends about dating problems than to post on Reddit about them. You can’t only…

Most people aren’t great at things they haven’t done before, and friendship isn’t the same as being a partner. It’s not a DEFINITE that you would be a bad partner, just like you can’t know for sure that someone who’s had relationships will be a good partner. But it would just make me less likely to put the energy in to find out when I would view the likelihood as being lower.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 04:50 PM
3

It would make me skeptical of how good you are at being a partner. It’s a skill that takes learning - I have done my learning and growing, I don’t plan to teach a man how to be a decent partner from square 1, I expect him to also bring some learnings to the table
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 03:59 PM

Yeah you’re totally right, every single dorky nice guy is single forever and dies alone /s
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/23 03:02 PM

And you seem proud that you’re able to get women whilst simultaneously not respecting or really seeming to like them. Sheesh
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/23 01:57 PM

I think there are 2 things at play here: As most people here have said, average guys tend to end up in long term relationships, showing it can’t be all that bad. But they WANT it to be easier, to have more partners, etc. So even though the end outcome is good, they still may not be satisfied with it. Most of the times you hear an “average” guy complaining about not getting to have sex, either he’s not average by your standards above, or his personality absolutely sucks. There’s a small group of …
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/23 06:53 AM

Nope, but your opinion is a good indicator of being uneducated and hating women, so hopefully it sends them running
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/23 06:44 AM
2

And that’s your exact problem. You’re viewing a partnerships as meeting YOUR needs, not both people’s. And this post implies that your search for a partner just boils down to how little effort you’re gonna have to put in to make them cum. Pretty lazy and superficial.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/23 10:27 PM
1

Yep, you’re setting the bar super low. Your expectation on men: well, if she isn’t obviously having a terrible time; things must be fine. My expectation on men (and everyone): if my partner isn’t obviously having a great time, I should check in and see if I could do something better People with your attitude are gonna have worse sex overall than people with mine. Way to tell the internet you suck in bed
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/23 06:29 PM
1

I’m not saying men should know. Ever heard of something as simple as asking? It should be a dialogue that goes both ways. I’m not saying women shouldn’t communicate. But if a man can’t tell that the woman he’s with is definitely having a great time, then he should check in and see if he could do anything better.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/23 05:55 PM
4

It’s nothing to do with looking cool. Until the orgasm gap doesn’t exist, the majority of women have a less fulfilling experience during sex than men, and therefore the majority of women have something to be less than thrilled about. Why shouldn’t men proactively care if the woman they’re with orgasms or not? Why should it only be on women to communicate about what’s working? Sex should be enjoyable for both parties. However, the default is that sex is good for men, and rubbish for women unless …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/23 05:32 PM
3

For sure. However many women communicate and the man still doesn’t care. Women get the best outcomes when they ditch men who don’t care about their pleasure.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/23 05:23 PM
6

Women blame men for the fact that it takes them so much longer to orgasm with a man than on their own. The problem in those instances is the man not doing the right thing to bring the woman pleasure
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/23 02:55 PM

No - I actively wouldn’t want that as it feels like added pressure to talk to the guy, and I wanna be able to just walk away with no pressure if I’m not feeling it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/23 04:00 PM

No, my point is - the person above never said it was based on physical attraction alone, YOU assumed that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 05:50 PM
1

“A man she finds attractive” doesn’t have to just be based on looks. Someone can look not-amazing but if they approach in a charming and non-creepy way and have a great personality, then they’ll quickly fall into that camp
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 05:16 PM

I definitely hooked up with guys like this when I was younger at uni, but that was v different. Doesn’t appeal whatsoever any more
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 03:27 PM

Soooo clearly some women are open to it as an approach 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 03:26 PM
2

Firstly, I never said it wasn’t or said it applies to every woman. Secondly, I don’t think I’m that special that there are no other women in the world that think the way I do. It’s not EVERY woman, but it’s definitely SOME women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 01:29 PM

In my view as a woman, it’s not about where as much as how. Nightclub on the dance floor and a man starts dancing with me? Absolutely not. Standing around the bar waiting for a drink and a man starts talking to me? I’m open to chat.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 12:02 PM

You literally cannot please everyone. Trying to do so will exhaust you and frankly it’s already exhausting me, so just stop. Be who you are and don’t apologise for it. The right person will love you for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/23 10:16 PM
8

There are men who think it’s a bad thing. There are men who think it’s a good thing. And there are men who think everything in between. Whatever you do, SOME men are gonna think you’re not wife material for it, but some OTHER men will love you more for it. The moral of the story is do what YOU want to do and find someone who is on the same page.

I said he raped her BASED ON WHAT WE HAD HEARD. To convict someone they have to have a fair trial. You’re the one suggesting we skip past the entire criminal justice system and make convictions or acquittals based on one piece of internet testimony alone lol. I’m not a troll you’re just clueless about how to interact with rape victims. On balance of probabilities this woman is telling the truth. I’m not in a court of law and there are no consequences on the guy so I’m gonna go ahead and react ba…

I’m not saying we should convict the man?! Jesus Christ THATS the jump here. You can believe the victim when they share a plausible and emotive story but ALSO believe in right to a fair trial and the principle of innocent until proven guilty. In this specific instance, an anonymous person is posting on Reddit. There are NO negative consequences on the man if we believe her story as no one knows who he is. No one is saying we should convict him?! You think in black and white only but the world do…

False accusations are an absolute minority so seems wild to just assume all accusations are false as a starting point.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 09:44 AM

Anyone who tells you that that IS how it works doesn’t have empathy or human decency. Your understanding/assumption is right. Please don’t let some random internet troll change your mind on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 07:12 AM

Yep, until there’s reason not to.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 07:10 AM

Consent cannot be given if they’re coerced or out of fear. She clearly states she didn’t want to but felt she had to due to the threats. I simply BELIEVED her, but ofc someone like you would never consider doing that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 10:20 PM

Nope. Just marry someone you’re compatible with, and leave if that changes. Marriage is about much more than just sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 10:18 PM

Yes it was. He threatened her.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:43 PM

No it’s not?! He wanted to have sex with her regardless of whether she wanted to. That shows that he doesn’t care about her wishes or enjoyment.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:26 PM

That’s so fair - I’m sure it’s a thing that happened and you’re right to acknowledge it’s all genders A friend of mine did go through this with her girlfriend, and reducing the pressure did work. But she was very clear from the outset that it was the amount of pressure specifically that was the turnoff for her I feel like people are more likely to post on Reddit about all the times things DONT work (especially in that kinda subreddit) so you’re less likely to hear about it when it does?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:25 PM

Yeah, probs bc the sex is better and these women hopefully end up finding more caring partners who view them as more than just a fleshlight
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:20 PM

No you’re not. You’re entitled to a divorce if your wants and needs don’t align any more. But no one is entitled to sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:19 PM

Yep, he should be upset bc he clearly sucks. She enjoys sex, just not with him. His attitude towards sex screams that he doesn’t care whether she enjoys herself or not. Women don’t like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:02 PM

And how many times have the men stopped the demands?! The problem isn’t that the women don’t then respond by getting their libido back. The problem is that these kinds of men will never stop thinking they’re entitled to as much sex with the woman they’re with as they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:02 PM

He didn’t put an end to it, he forced her to have sex with him. Consent by coercion doesn’t count, so he raped her.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:01 PM

Sleeping with a red pill misogynist is a somewhat grim prospect, sure - but the real damage would be ending up in a long term relationship with one. Eventually, the red piller will either: - have to reveal himself - eg through his attitude towards women’s roles in raising children and looking after the home - or he will have to renege on his wishes and allow the woman to live out her feminist ideologies - in which case he is red pilled in his mind, but not in how he lives his life No one likes t…

This is just not true. If you split the bill on dates then you’ve both contributed equally, so no one has paid anyone for sex. Women aren’t all objects that can be bought
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/23 08:46 AM

Because disrespect IS associated with sex work a lot of the time… and the question was whether I would date a man who had used a sex worker. So I stated that for me, the issue would specifically be his attitude towards them. Just giving my opinion mate.

Tbh I don’t think I would have had a problem if he hadn’t told me and I had learned about it years later. It’s his past and not really any of my business, but I’m grateful he did choose to share it

He told me about it, bc he wanted to be honest with me 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk I guess we just value being open and honest with each other

I am currently engaged to a man that once paid for sex. It was a long time ago (he was 19 or so at the time) and it has no bearing on our relationship today. I literally have zero problem with it. If he had done it in a disrespectful way then that would be a different story. He did it because he didn’t have the confidence to approach women organically. To be honest I massively respect him for even telling me about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/23 04:59 PM

Surely the obvious answer is to look up to men who…aren’t misogynists???
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/23 08:29 AM
2

Yeah the number of people/posts in this sub that say they’ll never date a woman with xyz mental health condition or past trauma…def not true that no one cares
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/23 08:23 AM

Yep. I’m bisexual but I’m in a relationship with the opposite gender - which is a choice given my sexual orientation. I also have a handful of close friends who are men who I adore. Since I was 16 I’ve always had a mix of male and female friends and genuinely enjoyed both. I dislike sexism. So I dislike sexist men. I also dislike sexist women, but there seem to be more sexist men than sexist women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 08:45 PM

Ah ofc it’s always the woman’s fault, sillly me!!

The guy that ‘tried’ but has now made a blanket rule against all women who have been victims…rather than recognising these women were 2 examples and individuals??? It’s not that you tried and failed. It’s that you evidently don’t view women as humans. Getting therapy is totally fine but there are many barriers to it too. For one, affordability.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 11:47 AM
1

Men who cheat on their wives with prostitutes are fallen men in that case. Stop with the double standards. Basically you’re saying women who have gone through trauma (usually perpetrated by men) are no longer marriage material…aka men are ruining women for themselves. Whilst it’s just fundamentally untrue, it’s also quite a funny argument you’re making
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 11:45 AM
1

Tell me more about how you understand women’s sex drive better than women do… It can tell you their attitude towards casual sex but it tells you nothing of their attitude towards commitment and fidelity. The two are totally separate. Just bc you CAN have casual sex outside of a relationship doesn’t mean you’ll NEED it when you have a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 11:43 AM

Lol whoops no I was trying to reply to the comment you replied to 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 11:42 AM

Poor you, must be so tough to have to support someone else who’s been through shit. How about being less self centred and recommending to other men not to commit SA, rather than recommending not to get involved with a woman who has been a victim. Victim blaming at its absolute finest.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 05:29 PM
1

No. Men don’t lead. Some sexist men feel it is their god-given right to lead. You don’t want a partner or an equal, you want a submissive. Women aren’t out here tryna be told what to do by a man and be controlled, nor should they be.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 05:28 PM
5

Hookups/casual sex outside of a relationship has nothing to do with cheating. Literally nothing whatsoever.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 05:26 PM
2

Hahahaha most men have a filter. Most men can turn down sex and will do so if it’s not what they want. All you really said here is that YOU don’t have a filter bc you’re too desperate…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 05:25 PM
1

How on earth does the prostitute comment prove your point? If women couldn’t separate sex from love then those prostitutes woulda been hella confused. So basically, women can’t separate sex from love…but the ones who DO, and who sleep around, lose their self worth. Aka the ones who act similar to men lose their self worth? Meanwhile men can do it and it’s all fine and dandy. Great logic buddy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/23 05:24 PM
1

Correction: you thought they were orgasming. If this is happening more than a few times…there’s gotta be a reason. When this happens to women we tell them not to sleep with men who only want them for sex so, you know, same back at you I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 10:16 PM
4

I’m not gonna bother arguing but I just wanna say how hilarious it is that basically, what this post is saying, is that men dislike having redpill techniques used on them. SO DO WOMEN.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 07:41 PM
2

Imagine genuinely believing that women’s only value was in their looks and reproductive capabilities 😂😂 Doesn’t apply to me as I’m 28 and happily engaged but if I reached and I was single I would rather wait for a partner that I’m gonna enjoy the next 4-5 decades with than settle for someone I don’t really like, even if it meant “ageing out of the game”
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/23 12:54 PM
1

Why does it matter whether a woman chooses to filter by either waiting ages to be intimate with a man, or to just try it and see? That’s up to HER and depends on HER values. It’s fine if your values don’t align and that’s fine to decide not to date her. But it’s not a moral issue, just a compatibility issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/23 07:31 PM
1

You can have self control and DECIDE that you want to sleep with more people than some men arbitrarily deem to be acceptable. Let’s face it, lots of sexual encounters can be pretty…unfulfilling…for women, so you’ve gotta do a lot of filtering to find a man who’s actually going to prioritise your pleasure. You can’t tell before having sex with them bc they all SAY they will…because they’ll say ANYTHING to get you to sleep with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/23 03:51 PM

I mean you say /s but if the comment OP wasn’t already doing these things, they would probably be the best advice you could possibly give her
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/23 03:48 PM

Not many women go round on killing sprees due to being denied romance…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/23 03:46 PM
7

Nah, the reasons for the body count are much more important than the body count itself. Someone who has slept with 5 people, but 4 of them were when they cheated on their partner, is less trustworthy/respectable than someone who has slept with 10 people who were all people they were in ‘relationships’ of some sort with.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/23 01:15 PM
11

You haven’t given any meaningful reason why it impacts my value as a woman. I believe it doesn’t. You believe it does. Looks like a stalemate, mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/23 06:54 PM
2

Dating is also hard for women though as so many men don’t actually care about her as a person, they only care about her as a sexual object.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/23 05:29 PM
2

On point 2: I agree, the potential to be falsely accused of rape is scary. But as a woman I am much more preoccupied with the potential to actually be raped - whether that’s by a random stranger, a friend, or a partner. A woman is much more likely to be raped, than a man is to be falsely accused of rape. Both pretty much ruin your life (although given how low the conviction rate is for rape, especially when there is no evidence, being falsely accused is unlikely to then lead to a conviction).
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/23 05:27 PM
10

As a woman, I’m not wanting to be respected FOR a high count. Simply that a high (or low) count shouldn’t impact whether you respect me or not, as it has nothing to do with my value as a human.
