erm, sorting out real problems, instead of treading on egg shells not to offend the eagle-librarians

Wow revisionist horseshit much? Try rewriting this using names and dates and referencing attempts to legislate.

Ok, having looked at wikipedia she seems like a philanphropist and a great person, but I disagree with her bootstraps approach to success and I don't find the view in the article is particularly empathetic, Dame Shirley has done what she has needed to do to fit in in a male dominated business environment and her wealth has given her power and status most women and men could only dream of. Her wealth and power do not make her any more of a model of what most women can be, that's what you guys cal…

Any talk of "female privilege" is nonsense and the point where I leave. Looking at these things in the round, women everywhere are disadvantaged due to society's inherent patriarchal bias, and we should all fight that together to make things better for men and women. That is seeking equality for women with men. Also your assertion that my argument was 'refuted' is very fanciful. This is a waste of time and I'm out.

YOU DO! You don't understand the phrase "equality for women" is short for "equality for women with men". The word equality by definition means to reach parity with something else, in the case of feminism the need for women to reach parity with the privileged status of men. This is basic stuff.

Erm, she is NOT a Humanist, Humanism is already a thing and this woman is not it.

Yes that first sentence is hard to parse but try reading it aloud. The rest is perfectly coherent, its you that has a comprehension problem.

what, earth English where to reach equality something has to come from a position of disadvantage to one of parity, where you become equal to something else???? Equality for women does not mean supremacy for women, that's wilfull strawmanning. Equality for women means equality for women with men. Now I know most of you live in bizarro world where men are apparently disposeable and weak (so much projection in that but that's for another day), and so I know we won't agree, but please at least stop…

Given the chance I wouldn't defend myself against anyone, I'd seek the easy way out. Aggression is not the way to diffuse a situation. If I was that guy, I wouldn't have cut in in the first place and I wouldn't have kept shooting my mouth off. I'm not the person itching to KILL SOMEBODY as the first line of defence, so before you start attacking me for a position I don't even hold, you should check yourself. I'm done.

Shooting someone does not constitute appropriate force. You postulated she could hit him with a pipe, I say that in a shop that's nonsense. Sure, I couldn't foresee that she would back down, but against a woman two feet shorter than me over some verbal altercation, I wouldn't fucking shoot her! You just want any excuse to enact violence against a woman, especially one who is prepared to speak her mind, and especially one from a racial minority. You are disgusting and not worthy of engaging in fu…

did you watch the video? She maced him and walked away. At no point did I think she was going to kill him. Also you have a terribad understanding of what human rights are, given that the RIGHT TO LIFE is like, right at the very top. You don't kill someone for pulling mace on you.

I'd say I'd like to see you try, but instead I will implore you to PLEASE try resolving your problems without resorting to killing people. Being maced will not kill you and your pride is not worth killing somebody over. Ever. Jeesus I'm amazing I have to spell this out in the subreddit of a so-call human-rights movement.

'refuse to ban AMR members' Is that some kind of joke? Bans are handed out all the time, which is just as well, as debating MRAs is a massive waste of time and serves to give your cause the undeserved appearance of legitimacy

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
