And there are many ways to leave society. If you read my reply, you'll see I didn't disagree with your statement's content, just with whether or not it includes an answer to the question asked. Which neither it, nor this one, does

That does not answer my question in the slightest, though. It's just stating there exist multiple answers, without bothering to define them, much less point to the true one

I left society How? Are you living a self-sufficient lifestyle on a boat in international waters?

They do talk about it, and the response I usually see is that "boohoo, men cry about not having to do the heavy work of picking out an outfit. Yet another privilege of theirs they refuse to see"

No one does; no one worth listening to, at least. But misogyny doesn't only affect (nor is only expressed in) the international treaties, and neither does misandry

This framing is easy to be presented as wrong within already existing gender-oriented poprhetoric without any alterations. Feminists won't even need to say anything new to refute it, only to point at existing essays, maybe adding "these dunces didn't even bother to educate themselves on the topic, do you expect them to say anything worth hearing?". It doesn't mean it's wrong, but the point was to make one that's actually appealing to people other than those that came up with it. Feminism never c…

It's one of AIs, distributed by Microsoft. I wasn't going to say anything in a top level comment, since it doesn't address the post's point, but several hours spent instructing the LLM to write something and even after all this time still not getting what you wanted? At that point, wouldn't writing (or dictating) it oneself be more efficient, even with drafting, editing and rewriting taken into account?

You spent several hours on instructing Copilot and still didn't get the results you want? Why not try to write it yourself? Wouldn't that be quicker?

Dawg idk why you have such a hard on for this and requesting all this of an ally like I slighted you or something? What? I am merely asking for an explanation of something I don't understand. There's no malice in my question. You're under no obligation to answer to any reddit comments, especially ones made in bad faith, but I fail to see why would you read my previous ones as such. You commented some vague semi-poetic phrases under my comment asking for actionable advice and got mad when I asked…

Two main points OP is saying: 1: Women are blaming all men for actions of few man. It is bad. 2: How things used to be (bad): Women have obligations to men Men have obligations to women How it is (bad): Women free Men have obligations to women OP's Solution: Women have obligations to men (but only symbolic ones, like saying "thank you for not being one of those men that do bad things") Men have obligations to women

Gendered expectations - bad Women - freed Men - not freed Men blamed for bad men Men being blamed for bad men bad To make up for men being blamed for bad men - women should thank the not-bad men, or be unfreed

But you didn't. Standing in your own strength - what does that mean? Like, actually? Using your inner strength to survive is different from Manning Up how? Being an example of what? If you mean being an example of someone that lives the life he believes people should be allowed to live but aren't, it means you are mocked, shamed and insulted for not conforming. And you didn't answer my question about dealing with that. Which is the one I've been asking about for a while. The one you both seem to…

Since you seem to understand the intent of the comment I replied to, could you explain in more detail what "living by example and unrelentingly" actually means? From what I understand it's "live however you want and when people shame you for it, don't care", but you say it's not that. If it's not that, then what?

i get that you want some kind of feminism but for men Only in the sense that I'd like some actionable advice. Anything other than "just man up and take it". And as I've mentioned I don't have enough knowledge to know what that would look like, so I'm asking in a space dedicated to that. that's where living a life in the way you want comes, and without using stoicism Being shamed is designed to make people feel a certain way. And you're asking specifically to ignore how you feel being shamed. Cou…

I don't think it's on purpose, but your comment is downplaying the tremendous effort that has been and is still being put into decreasing oppression. Women didn't get the right to vote by sitting at home frowning. And modern feminists aren't telling others that all the society's misogyny will be gone once women start to live the lives they want. It isn't just about gendered oppression, of course, but it's the closest example. Another thing, humans are social creatures, it's borderline impossible…

How could we actually bring about either of the solutions (the "abolish gender expectations for everyone" being, of course the preferable one - why would we put on more limitations on others rather than take our own off? I genuinely don't understand why would the other one be even considered?)? I've seen many wonderful topics on this sub about what world should we strive to build, but hardly anything on actually building it. And so far there's a pushback from people on both sides of the politica…

moral way to fix such issues is to reduce the overall amount of hardship and suffering, not just flog it onto someone else who isn't like me, or, god forbid, increase it and call it equality achieved. What are your thoughts on achieving that in this context?

My dear man, being in the military is bad. Any person who wants a just world would oppose military service for everyone. Since you don't, you clearly don't actually care about building a better world, you just want women to suffer. Simple misogyny. You deserve everything the military has in store for you for the fact you don't want it. No, that doesn't mean I should oppose the conscription of males, why would you reach such a ridiculous conclusion? This entitlement is obnoxious. Is that because …

I'm not denying it happens in some environments, but as a man in the 30 years of my life I have yet to witness that, it's not a common or commonly accepted phenomenon
