I've always looked at it the other way. If you don't say yes or don't act into it, then it's no, and it's rape. But I also have a pretty biased opinion on rape/consent.

My employer doesn't offer insurance. I was told by the shitty nurse what I get is a generic Nuvaring. They give them to me there in these little silver packets, and when I had insurance previously they came in blue packets so I believe her. The only other clinic offices are shittier than Planned parenthood, or are urgent cares which are extremely costly. I'm still paying off a visit from last year when I had bronchitis.

I agree. I dont know how it could be proven by a doctor but it Definetly could be abused easily. My job doesn't offer insurance and I'm not able to afford it otherwise so my BC costs $200 a month out of pocket which I also can't afford, so I've just been dealing with it taking at least the first 4 days of my cycle off work each month, until I find a better job I'm kind of stuck in this unless they make BC cheaper or preferably free.

Birth control helps a lot of other things medically besides preventing pregnancy. Like for me, it makes me actually able to work and be out of the fetal position during my period. Without birth control to regulate me, the cramps are unbearable. Its the same for many other women, especially those with endometriosis.

I knew a single guy that does foster care, which I'm not sure but I think its the same process, I don't really talk to him much anymore since I moved pretty far away, otherwise I'd ask him, so I think its safe to say its possible.
