Holy crap dude. You fucking killed her. I’d love to see the full interview though, this dude seems really level headed and smart.

A poll of 1500 people isn’t a big enough sample size to really gain any sort of accurate result. I’d love to see this on a much larger scale and look at men all the way from students - older gentlemen perhaps even those in retirement. And preferably a similar poll to women to compare.

I just LOVE how the counter arguments are basically “you’re wrong how dare you” and “I couldn’t possibly be expected to explain my side of the argument.” It’s ridiculous.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I would never break up or divorce with someone over a little weight (it would be a miracle I got with someone in the place haha! I'm a bit of a shut in) but from his tone he 100% wasn't happy in the relationship for a multitude of reasons.

The entire thread is vile. Someone gaining weight is an entirely reasonable reason to want a relationship to end. The mental struggle of watching someone you care about willingly let themselves enter a state of unhealthiness had major ramifications and brings up a ton of concerns. Yet everyone seems to be acting like his ONE mention makes him the worst guy ever.

I understand where you're coming from with the "less of the emotionally manipulative s stuff" and more of the facts but if you scroll through a lot of posts here you see lots of people being given straight facts and continuing to spout the same bullshit crap they've been told to justify hate again men. I literally tapped out of reading a comment chain a second before writing this where it was happening and so this kind of "sensationalist" stuff is used instead. It's not ideal but lots of people …

So.... like this? After controlling for the arrest offense, criminal history, and other prior characteristics, "men receive 63% longer sentences on average than women do," and "[w]omen are…twice as likely to avoid incarceration if convicted." This gender gap is about six times as large as the racial disparity that Prof. Starr found in another recent paper. https://www.law.umich.edu/newsandinfo/features/Pages/starr_gender_disparities.aspx

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
