On its face, makes no sense. An extremely small proportion of men commit violent crimes, but this is conflated to be all men are inherently violent. It is alarming, honestly, and if this cultural belief continues on too far unchecked we could end up in a Minority Report type of situation. You’re a criminal just because you are male. It’s bad logic by the feminists because it probably pushes moderate men to the right.

Like… how??
/r/MensRights15/07/24 09:56 PM

Sure. But the bigger demographic problem is going to be climate change. Some high population places on the planet will be largely uninhabitable within 20 years, like Phoenix for example

You’re young. If you make the right decisions now, you can set yourself up to be a power player (money, options) in a relationship. If you do decide to ask her out, and she says no, you’ll have to deal with the awkwardness of that after the fact in a semi-public way, so keep that in mind.

Tempting, yes, but I would rather live in a shitty world than a completely ruined one… Although maybe it doesn’t really matter. With either Biden or Trump, climate change will continue to get worse, as will inequality, globalized war, gender relations and so forth.

So I just read this whole thing and there is no proof to any of the claims. It’s just pontificating based on an absolutely massive set of circumstances. And a lot of the claims lack logic at face value. But, alas, this is the current dialogue we have regarding gender.

Why don’t people like this just say something like everyone has their own mental health issues and we should meet people where they are at instead of concluding that men don’t deserve mental health care? Because they’re toxic.

Everything you’ve said is true, but you’re missing the whole point. OP is talking about the “rental market” and opportunities at large for a single guy.

Actually yes. Sort of depends on the person…. But I have had a female coworker who is/was jealous of my success and position try to do shit to make me look bad. And it is done in the name of feminism / women’s rights. She ended up in therapy and on a leave. Toxic bullshit.

You could probably get at minimum a temporary restraining order from the violent boyfriend to protect your own safety. The rape accusations do not hold water with regard to a TRO as they are unproven. You will have to report this to the police, but will need witness(es) or medical exam to prove that you were assaulted. Start there. Good luck.

Yep. Even just in general. You could be in a totally equal workplace (or even biased positively toward women) and the news of the day is always gonna be “well this guy talked to me in a bad way” all day long. And you can’t say anything against it for fear of reprisal. It’s so much more than just male spaces and female spaces. Western society basically every fucking space ALL DAY LONG it’s women going on about micro aggression this and sexism that. Oh man or bear? Or it’s women’s history month (b…

This is full on ideological warfare against men. How are we supposed to respond? How many perfectly reasonable and peaceful hetero relationships are there? Would it ever occur to someone like Kate Lister that the more women insist on having freedom to have as many partners as they want on their own terms the more likely they are to experience violence?
/r/MensRights02/05/24 10:51 PM
2

If the original question and its responses have any bearing on reality, it should take into account the fact that women are much, much more likely to and have many benign interactions with men on a daily basis — as compared to similar benign interactions with wild bears.
/r/MensRights02/05/24 03:38 AM

The problem is she was probably jealous whilst overhearing your moment of potential ingenuity in the workplace. Types like these have a really hard time watching others succeed. So they try to take you down a notch. They have trouble interacting with their peers. The best thing to do is to keep doing what you’re doing. If she becomes or is already openly frustrated at work, and you are just calmly doing your job, that will a lot of times inform the outcome. If you have more skills and experience…

The point that you are missing is that women encounter hundreds of thousands of men before they would encounter a bear. There aren’t any bears at the grocery store, or at your work, at home, whatever. Literally zero bears. And in FACT, women probably actively take steps to avoid bear encounters, by avoiding hiking in the mountain forest for example. So you can’t compare the incidence of bear attacks vs. attacks on women by men. So why don’t we ask the question a different way? You can be in a 10…

Leave it to feminists to conflate something like getting asked out by a dude they find unattractive to severe bodily harm and/or death. Fucking absurd. I’m so tired of the dialectic that presents all men as having violent intentions towards women. You’ll notice that this whole discussion is focused on potentialities, not reality. Because it has to do with perceived intentions. Women in our society are clueless to interpret men’s intentions, and this bothers them as it is the last bastion of men …

Do we have any data on what percentage of men are doing the majority of the rapes? Like 5% doing 90% or whatever it would be? I have to imagine there’s a smaller group of offenders compared to the general population …. hey, guess what? even if you make it into a steady relationship, it still isn't a walk in the park. The odds of you converting that relationship into long term monogamy are probably lower than you getting into a relationshp in the first place. Its all that entitlement from women. There is a tendency for them to pick whatever they want, anytime they want, and sometimes just date for convenience.

I think the point you are missing is that #metoo was an anti-male abusers in positions of power movement. There were very few (if any) female perpetrators mentioned. Maybe there aren’t many women who do stuff like that. Maybe there are. Maybe it’s just people in powerful positions who have a creepy sex drive? I don’t know and don’t care. My fear is that as a society we are starting to view men as only bad.

Heyo. I’ve experienced this as well. It’s not you. It’s late stage capitalism; it’s divisive and frankly your worth as a man is economic. I had an educated woman give me an STD without informing me. She knew. Discussed it with her female doctor. They both agreed that if I didn’t already have it, I wouldn’t care. So no. Education ain’t gonna cut it when women believe they have the moral high ground.

Rape is defined as “non consensual” … but in discourse there’s no mention of non penetrative acts. For example. When I was in high school, I was pretty drunk and at a small gathering. I was making out with this girl I liked, but then her friend whipped my pants off and started performing oral. The friend had braces. I was SUPER not into it and not attracted to her at all. Made her stop right away. Think I threw up after. Under no one’s definition is that rape…. But if I was a woman it could be.

Abortion providers mourning the loss of their clinic / practice in Texas as they were, with tears, looking into the eyes of their last patient whom they were providing an abortion on: “It’s like … we were mourning a death. The death of the clinic, of reproductive rights, the death of bodily autonomy.” Lmao. BUT NOT THE BABY??! Based

If abortion bans are so unethical, then why aren’t we hearing about civil disobedience? The only stories I hear are women run clinics turning other women away. I would say I’m pro-choice, and I agree SCOTUS is going bonkers, but why don’t we hear people advocating for contraception and abstinence? I’m tired of women expecting to have sex all the time, and then telling men they don’t deserve it.
/r/AntiFeminists28/06/22 03:30 AM

I think they miscommunicated. To me, not expecting other men to have the same beliefs I do is just something I do so I’m not let down when they don’t. Prepared for the worst. When she says “women shouldn’t mens issues,” that’s totally different. UPDATE: I got perm banned from r/feminism for asking “is not expecting different than shouldn’t support?” Lmfao. I don’t doubt it, and I’m curious to see statistics on infanticide. The only context I’ve heard about it has been a power move by a male animal looking to take over a group of females or whatever. It’s got me thinking about the intersection of biological sex / species / infanticide.

Check out my comments and posts if you don’t believe me, I was just being sarcastic. But it’s true. It was an elective. Totally worthless. I was the only cis-male in the class out of 30. I learned some of the historical philosophy for feminism. Eh, I'm fine with all that. Happy to do it actually. What the issue was in my mind is that she tried to take a shit on me after I do some domestic work.... that ain't democratic at all.

Probably already in the works. After the divorce gets finalized, I don't know that I'd see her living by herself in Portland.

Mom couldn't cook - was recovering from surgery.Sister couldn't cook - due to crippling self centeredness. Turns out I'm the best cook out of all 3 anyway. I've had 10+ years since living on my own after high school of preparing meals for myself. Lots of experimentation makes you good.

I appreciate people calling attention to this point -- I thought it was fair. I am now starting to realize that they've merely been victim to her shitty behavior. She can be extremely controlling. And the worst part about it is that she often thinks she's right in situations where she's completely wrong.
