Thought it wouldn’t happen to me. Thought for some reason her mental illness wouldn’t lead this far. I made huge mistakes, even knowing this kinda thing happens to a lot of people. I was naive in my beliefs that even though we had our problems, we would both look out for the best interests of our kids.

Working on the survive part. And it’s rough, but been through hard times before, I just keep reminding myself, ‘it’s not forever, it’s for now’. And that seems to help a little

Sounds pretty much what I’m trying to build, so good to know I’m on the right track at least. Thank you so much.

I appreciate the feedback, and any hope I can find in this situation. Keep telling myself, ‘ this is not forever, this is for now’

I appreciate that. It’s not fair, or even close to it. Working on finding a lawyer I can afford, and if all else fails, filing my case pro se

I have screenshots of a years worth of conversations I have been putting into a log, rent receipts, utility recipts, Apple Cash given. Figuring out how to get all that worked into a presentable case is what I am struggling with right now( among other things). How did you put your case together?

Shouting into the void and actually hearing something back is enough my guy, thank you for the reply.

Op, I am in the same position as you father. He need to leave that house and relationship NOW. This will continue to escalate and get worse and he is a man so he is already having the courts stacked against him. It is an incredibly difficult situation I understand, but he needs to leave get a lawyer and fight for his kids now before she puts a case on him and has him arrested for some bullshit charge. Thank God he has you to lean into Cuz, the recovery from this is long and hard. But this is wha…

Well keep at it my friend. Could you possibly consider a state representative government job? We need people who can think well and articulate a point and then argue its validity in a coherent way. Joking, but kinda not, lol. Keep doing what you do my guy, this is the sort of thing that implements change. Like chipping away at rust as I think YOU said!

Any idea what that process is like? All the online stuff says we both have to show up for her to drop it, and should I have a lawyer present when I go?

Police report from the original incident correct? And I would have to get that from the department correct?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
