3 days before Christmas she asked for a divorce after I caught her cheating on the 20th of Dec. She woke me up at 4 in morning... and said "I want a divorce" then walked out of the room. I was in survival mode and trying to save my family by tryin to work through it.. Like a damned fool. Hindsight.. it was definitely in stages.

Of all the things mentioned the child support angle.. It may be the reality check this "woman" needs to get her head out of her ass.

Nobody wants to be the villain in their own story... so that is why there is no accountability. Women look for and recieve outward validation... that is why you are seeing all the " you go girl" and "her living her best life"...it fades and it fades quick. Men, we fix ourselves inside first.. something we are taught at a young age.. ain't nobody coming to save us. That we have to fix our own sh1t. Of course i am speaking generally... Sorry you are going through this... keep yer head up.

I don't do a damn thing. If my kids needed money or a ride to a store.. absolutely i would help them. But youngest is still in school so they make gifts. I am going to detail my car today...

Coming home to a gross house? Laying on the couch all day? Complaining about nonsense that has to nothing to with anything? Our wives must of been friends. Lol

No dude.. First fukn talk to me like that ...phone would of been returned in pieces. Whoops it was dropped. Second this dbag is only going to get worse... he thinks you are a push over... match his energy EVERY damn time ..make it uncomfortable every time he is disrespectful to you. Gets loud at school...you get loud. Trust me that simp will fold like a lawn chair. Third you don't want your son/kids seeing you disrespected like that. Kids will think that shit is okay to put up with. Unfortunatel…

The lying is more damaging than the act.. of course she would believe your ex. It is such a mind fuk to be betrayed like that by someone you trust. You question reality. Thankfully she seems okay... now you need to be okay. It was a bad choice by you.. but you are human and hopefully you learned from this.

Sometimes you need to be hit with a 2x4 right over the head to be woken up from a funk and change.

“Be nice until it's time to not be nice” -James Dalton. Almost similar story to yours.. i steered into it. I took the angle "Yes go find yourself.. get a new place and find yourself." Had her out in 3 months.. It sucks man... but you need to show zero emotion and for your kids and your sake keep your temper in check... that "woman" ain't worth any emotion. Strictly buisness from here on out dude.
/r/Divorce_Men27/07/25 10:57 AM

Keep being the rock for your kids man.. you are going to be tested like youve never been tested before. Keep it strictly buisness... and take of yourself first.

Not me... once the mask was pulled down... i couldn't even stand looking at her.

They always want to "find themselves".. yeah find themselves some new sexual organ in the lower abdominal area. Stay strong man... her cheating has nothing to do with you. Unfortunately tho we get to deal with the fallout of a broken person.

Kids being safe and you being in their life is the only thing that matters right at this moment. The rest of the stuff will work out... stay strong man. Oh and never get married again.

You aren't in love with her brother.. you are in love with the idea of her. Now, do the best the best you can for your kids....you are lucky to be 27... not 47 like I was. You are going to be okay.
