I was influenced by media at a young age to be very respectful of women and treat women equally like allow them the opportunity to ask me out and make the first move. Obviously that didn't work out. But also I am very sensitive and I fear rejection so I readily accepted this media influence so I could stay in my comfort zone which was bad and I'm still paying for it.

I'm always amazed by these dudes. Their whole life prerogative seems to be getting sex by any means necessary. After living with male roommates, I learned quickly how little comparative effort I put into finding sex compared to them. "She lives 2 hours away?" That's a no from me! So you do have someone to talk to: the husband. I agree this forum is generally a waste of time. It's all about applying averages to groups of people, but generally as humans we're only trying to find ONE person to date or fuck, so really how useful are these broad generalizations when applied to that one person? It could be prove to be more of a drawback than not since you're prejudging that particular person on those generalizations.

If you have the body and face you can pull off any look you want. I do think facial piercings and bad tattoos will typically make most everyone less attractive, except to males in that particular alternative subgroup. But if you're fat or ugly, going goth or trying some other alternative look usually makes you uglier. I'm reminded of Woody Harrelson's daughter in the movie Wilson. She was fat and looked better with a normie look.

Societally, I think women need men more since men's taxes subsidize women more and it's mostly men who build and maintain the infrastructure. Biologically, men need women more since the whole many sperm, low amount of eggs paradigm. Dating wise, single women are regarded more often as "pathetic" than single men so there's that. There's a zillion other criteria you can judge who needs who more, but that's a few.

I'd say 23 and below it is normal to not live with your partner given university, dorms and all that. But that only counts for post-secondary people. Then you graduate and live together. Couples who don't go to university should cohabitate earlier I would think. There's no restriction for them. I still think it adds up to a lot of single no-relationship people. Maybe 40% of everyone in that age group. Then again this is one Pew poll. Can't put too much weight on it.
