When she saw the cops, she flung the wine bottle to the ground. The majority of my reasoning believes this to be for spite. Maybe a small chance she felt that smashing a bottle was getting rid of evidence in some way. Another thought is that she saw cops and panicked and acted without thinking. I think her use of "It was a huge duck, it was scary. I'm a woman" etc was meant to suggest that her actions were taken because she felt unsafe/threatened as a woman. She would have been correct to feel threatened or confused as a neutral person, but she lost her credibility when she brought her gender into it.
