Some fields require big strong dudes, true. Not all of them do. Women can easily weld or become electricians. They still choose not to. In fact, women electricians would be at an advantage due to their size relative to crawl spaces. Truck driving. Crane/heavy machinery operation. Auto/Diesel repair. There are so many blue collar jobs that don't require all that much muscle. They're just harder than being a kindergarten aid.

I think anyone who has this issue is someone with either an inflated ego or poor self esteem. What makes you so important as to expect the world to wait for you? Yes boys need attention, but so long as the attention for girls isn't actively trying to be detrimental/sexist towards boys I can't find a good reason to drive that wedge. I didn't have an issue with that commercial at all. It didn't harp on men. It didn't try to say women are better than men. It just said we need to stop infantalizing women, which is a true statement. I agree with you. Women especially love to demonize the "religious, white, conservative man" and as a default they become a large wing of the progressive side. My statement was more for your point of encouraging progressives who do not agree with the feminists to feel welcome among the dialog here.
