You’re not not wrong. True love does exist and it’s not just about two people being hot for each other’s bodies. It’s about really loving that other person, wanting them to be happy, putting their needs before your own. It’s just that inevitably those feelings fade and the sexual interest fades. When I believed in marriage, I always thought it would be interesting to have relationships have a 10y initial term with five year renewal options.

We’re not lying about it. There is an element of personality, intelligence, personal accomplishment that can make even the most unattractive guy, attractive. The hardest part is that OLD does not communicate that je ne sais quoi. I wish I could decide which guy had this when I’m going through profiles bc that guy is ultimately 10x more attractive than the good looking guy bc he navigates the world on more than just the looks/genetic physical luck.

Doctor here. If I recall correctly up to 1/3 of pregnancies end in miscarriage. They are extremely common.

I agree you need to upgrade your social circle. In my social circle, most of my female friends are the breadwinners.

I have heard of FWB. I’m in one now. My point was some of the previous comments seem to be aimed at encouraging people to have sex on the first date under the guise of sex positivity. My point is you can still be sex positive, high libido, etc and still opt not to have sex on the first date.

This goes without saying. No gender, race or any other grouping is a monolith. I can only speak for myself. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Some of these arguments are confusing to me. Could one not make someone wait bc they’re just getting to know the person? I know it’s not a common take but I don’t know that I want someone to touch me, much less put their penis inside of me the first time I meet them. This isn’t manipulation, or controlling with sex. this is reasonable assessment prior to having sex.

Except that negativity gets you nothing. 6’6 is the point where height starts being a liability for some (no offense OP) Bc he’s more than a foot taller that the average American female. He also expressed some other playing field levelers— skinny, no so attractive, balding. I think his experience can help, if you are open to the reality everyone has advantages and disadvantages.

This is interesting. I didn’t know that these types of guys were so rare.

Im a woman who statistically speaking would outearn most any potential partner. I am good being with someone who makes less than me. I just want them to be a true partner across the board. I got divorced bc my ex husband wanted me to assume traditional roles which is hard if we’re both out there hustling.

Nothing. It’s true. It’s an uncomfortable truth. For me.

I think it makes them more attractive. Evolutionarily speaking, it makes them better providers.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
