Yasss! What a cool and generous idea! My dude and I are serious, and I feel marriage on the horizon, but I’m pretty antsy that I don’t know when it’s coming. I can’t be 100% sure he’ll marry me until...well...he proposes. Should I chill out and just trust he will get there? Xo, thanks for your insight, time, and community involvement

Lolz ☝🏻 I hope you find the book your friend needs

Thanks for your thoughts. We are currently having task-oriented sex and it’s lame for both of us. It’ll tide us over, but me being actually into it would be great for both parties. (Although I am totally willing to supplement with task oriented sex, or just-for-him blowjobs. It can be quite satisfying to just know he’s satisfied 😍)

It’s always my aim to sort out my shit before hand, so when I bring it to him I can make clear, actionable requests. But for some reason I’m struggling on this one, and it’s causing me to sit on the problem longer than usual. If I was your girlfriend, would you rather me sit on it indefinitely until I can express myself actionably, or bring the problem to you anyway (with an acknowledgement that I don’t have an actionable solution)? Secondly, would you be open to hearing you’re not satisfying so…

Thank you for this...it’s comforting that you get what I’m feeling. We ebb and flow, last week the sex was phenomenal...this week he could really feel my resistance. I’m optimistic overall, today is just tough!

Totes accurate. I’m unsure how to resolve myself, and projecting anger on him. Also, I would neverrrrrr tell him he “needs” to do something. Oh lord what a show that would be 😂

This might sound like a contradiction based on my original post....but the sex is good! I wouldnt sign up for a guy I wasn’t into or couldn’t get me off. He has all the right moves, he finishes me routinely, and I usually finish first. On paper it sounds good. But when he initiates I clam up, and spend the first half of sex in my head...annoyed, nervous, guilty...a whole host of shitty emotions, before my brain finally quiets and I can be more “in my body”, enjoying sensations and him, finally g…

Not mean at all. I totally agree it’s my responsibility, and I don’t really blame him for his aimlessness. It frustrates me, but I bet I’m only resentful of him because I’m projecting. He’s really a wonderful man.

Oh heck yeah...when sex is working, and we are both contributing freely to each other, that shit is magic! He’s not selfish, I’m just stuck in my head and not communicating. And those icky feelings are getting in the way of that magic flow. I would love to get back to giving those daily enthusiastic blowjobs I know he thrives on! I know we will...I’m just all mucked up at the moment. Thx for your thoughts!

He’s not good at turning me on. Hes got the moves physically but my brain isn’t engaged until we’re like half way done. As soon as I can demystify this one, I will positively reinforce the heck out of him! 😍

He is certainly game to give me what I want, especially if it’s sex related, lol! The wheel is flyin’ today. I think I’m inflating something that’s not a really a big deal, and I just need to get over the hurdle of bringing it to him candidly. Thanks!

I’m sure you’re on to something about his aimlessness here. He’s very amenable to helping me when I tell him what I want. But I’m a bit unclear what I’m asking for...my heads swirling with contradictory thoughts. And there’s some unrelated family drama contributing to my jumbled brain. I’m an emo ball of lady feelings and I don’t think he knows what to do. If I could clearly state my needs we would be solid. He loves reading and has, of his own volition, followed along with other books I’m readi…

That first example was very helpful. And the paragraphs about how people/relationships/sex lives are ever evolving was a good reminder to embrace the flow. I know we are headed towards a better and more fulfilling sex life for the both of us, this is just a muddy patch on the way there. He does now know how to engage my brain as a sex organ. I wish I knew how to explain it clearly to him, because he’s generally amenable to accommodating me. I find him attractive and want to have sex with him. Wh…

Thank you SO MUCH for the link. He loves to read. Which is why it’s bothering me that he hasn’t read the other book. I’ll pitch this one to him too. I get lots of lovey snuggles from him, but I just clam right up at sex. It’s a newish thing. I hear you about that positive reinforcement for sure! I am a “thank you” machineeee. I feel bad that I don’t know exactly what I need, because I’m sure if I just ask him clearly and directly he will want to provide it and I’d get to say “thank you” for that…

My post definitely skews things, focusing on the bad. He’s a darling man, I love and appreciate him, and sex with him is “good”. He’s attentive to me in bed, I just don’t really know what I like. I’m trying to figure it out, and the process is rough and emotional. I think he’s super hot and am totally attracted to him. But “turned on by him” comes slowly. Clearly a lot of contradictions here. Thanks for your response!

Blowjobs. Great way to show affection, appreciation, and offer stress relief.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
