Hey there. I’ll figure out tomorrow how to highlight your specific text I’m responding to. I mis spoke and misspelled lol In “love marriages”, I don’t think anyone should say “…bringing to the table” like it’s more about actions than character and mutual respect. I am so hopeful on the other end of this, more people approach relationships with more optimism, openness, and understanding. My thought was, if the bare minimum standards agreed upon, the effort to deliver on your promise to your loved…

Fair. I used the word simps but I don’t like it. Once I trust and commit, I think pleasing each other is a great thing. All the move languages. Not love-bombing but making the effort to show up like they matter. Most women’s brains are wiring often. We think, talk, and do a Lot! Maybe natural. May be conditioning in our culture but we do the most. Women typically take care of a lot of stuff, even without kids. So many appointments, routines, social stuff. I guess I can’t answer the question abou…

Finally a mature convo here. I appreciation your candor. If I “fake it” and am performative, it’s a bit inauthentic and an indication of a core belief that we must earn love… when we simply deserve it for who we are and who we will be during our evolution. It is unnatural for a man to suggest a woman needs to “bring something to the table” like being a good cook, nurturing mom, lady on company and freak in the sheets. Women have served as the must for many amazing men… just by allowing them to e…

I hear you. And yes, we often think our experiences are common. I’m Gen X, from old Christian parents. Men were head of household. Women were waiting to be picked. But they were gentlemen then. At least while courting and most of them remained that way, considering the time and standards then. We accepted a little more of what is considered “toxic” now. I’m not a trad woman but there’s still some understanding of that lifestyle that remains with me and I’m not opposed to respecting anyone who ch…

They’re connected. It’s like trainijg/ learning before you get the job! There’s some trial and error, but a woman can tell if you’ve been doing your work and you are sincere. A lot of valid points were made below… but it went off the rails with all the talk about Simping (a word men use to be cruel to other men). If you truly respect women and your intentions are pure, you will find ways to know how to be a good partner to the woman that is right for you. I can sympathize with anyone who isn’t g…

And I will admit, when I had a breakup years ago, I dated my cable guy and a cop. Very sweet men and definitely different than the ambitious/ successful men. They’re awesome if they’re not intimidated. They see quality and they’re all in! No questions about their intentions ever

It’s not healthy. But you know who is ALWAYS married? Blue collar dudes. I have 5 sisters and 3 nieces who vacation together and we cat-call men for fun. 9 out of 10 hard working, stable, predictable dudes without all the ego are absolutely married! I think the desire to want more and more exists in certain women and men— and that’s the worst combination to get together, but the most attracted to each other.

Half of you guys had no idea what DEI was 2 years ago. Maybe just spend some time learning actual women IRL

You guys? I’m a 50yr old woman, whose southern parents were born in the south in the 1930s and raised 6 girls to be good Christian wives. If DEI was “special”, women wouldn’t make 75% for the same job and all the boards and C-suites would have some actual Diversity. But, politics and love are two different things. A woman’s natural desires are very individual. If you think all women are the same it is because you are dating the same wrong women. Or girls.

LOL… gotcha. I just realized I was thrown off by 2 of his posts and his responses reminded me of my nephew

Then that’s not your woman. Most women love to feel like their man has emotional intelligence and trusts us enough to open up. I dated men who were fun and aloof… or who only showed emotions when angry but I married the guy who was just being his goofy ass self. Confidence in who you really are is very attractive. That’s how goofies and “simps” get and keep women. Not over-thinking and not so much ego

You’re not single but perusing dating ads? If you edit her last point, it’s fair. Men shouldn’t put up with bad behavior- period. IDK why most posts here don’t seem to be genuinely asking questions or seeking advice. Maybe I’m slow/ late to the party. But, when women had far less power, we put up with a lot but quietly. Everyone in society evolves. Now that women have more options, men are forced to learn more about women (not just about what you want from a woman). You may have to redefine your…

It’s not laughable to the rich, fit 50yr old with the great man and baby she desired. If it’s tragic, it’s only laughable if you hate women.

They’re missing the large % of bi or gay men not reporting and are single because they aren’t out.

How do you know what’s attractive to women? Almost 50% of people are married… a lot of average, regular-bodied, cash strapped, weird hobbies, low-skilled, basic Beckys and Bobs connect, date, marry, and have kids every day. The rest are not skilled on dating based on how things are today. I also think men will spend more time and $ learning Everything other than::: How to be a great partner to the type of woman that’s right for you.

I think there are great, genuine people on many apps, and unfortunately so many bots have been added (mostly for straight men), they are being tricked and become disillusioned. I also think OLD’ers can put more effort into pics, profiles, and thoughtful/ honest responses.

Also, people with a connection to a survey generally respond. Most of us never complete any surveys at all.
