Gotcha. Then where are you observing these ridiculously uneven distributions of responsibility? On TV and in movies? You mentioned "certain communities" in another thread, and I interpreted this to be impoverished settings. In those (very common) cases, I 100% agree — women have to do everything while the men go out drinking, often heavily and with their mates. This argument sort of falls apart in 2022, where marriage is an agreement between two individuals. In the past marriage was more like a …

Just curious: what was your father like when you were growing up? Cause what you described bears no resemblance to any of the families I've met growing up in a western democracy

Spot on. As Bill Burr put it: "These women are bending over at the waist, putting DVDs in the DVD player... I don't know how they do it" It's refreshing to read OP's dillusional perspective after that incel double-posted about his love/hate feelings toward makeup 🤣

Agreed! I think of it like an arms race. Two competing nations might devote all their resources to weapons production and development, but that doesn't necessarily imply that these nations have some desire for nuclear war. They're essentially holding each other hostage! I'm a white man, but this is my (limited) perspective. A woman who vocally detests commercial beauty standards might still feel compelled to conform because ultimately, if they don't, they will lose the arms race (i.e. they'll be…

Yeah these contradictions are everywhere. Pro life people tend to support the death penalty and vice-versa. The best part is highly-polarized people never understand that these contradictions can always be inverted against their view

Neato. I think my point still stands? What is it you're trying to say here that's relevant to the thread

Sensitive dependence of initial conditions (chaos) renders such systems effectively unpredictable despite there being determinism. If you can't measure the initial condition to arbitrary precision, then your forecast will always diverge from reality. The best example of this is the impossibly of long-term weather prediction

Yeah definitely agree. And I don't think TRP is somehow better than astrology, I just can't listen to someone rant about astrology without becoming physically enraged. I'm guessing the same that would happen if I looked into TRP

To me it's more about the central themes in these discussions. Astrologists draw on pagan ideals relating to astronomical events that are utterly irrelevant. Like you admitted trends in birth days have much more to do with educational cycles and less to do with the relative motion of mercury. In contrast, when TRP says focus on yourself/income/active lifestyle, it's hard to deny that this framework is more rooted in reality. Though plenty of TRP is wacko... I just think anyone who dabbles in ast…

I guess it boils down to your philosophy. In January we can revisit this topic :)

Yep. That's a great starting point. There's an underlying framework from which we can draw observations and find patterns. Hence the word "framework"

Idk what you're arguing with here... astrology is nonsense. This has been demonstrated repeatedly in controlled settings. RP/BP perspectives are based in pseudoscience, but it seems unreasonable to claim that there's absolutely no sociological framework for these ideas

And yeah I would argue that it's not scientifically compatible or rational to argue that everything can be predicted. There are many examples in science where this is not the case. Not trying to take sides on the male vs. Female bs, just sharing my thoughts on this

Systems which are deterministic can still exhibit chaos. This is one of the foundational ideas of chaos theory

Dude idk what's going on here, but have you noticed that you're the only one who keeps spewing shit about race? Like without any provocation. Do you have any hobbies? Maybe a kitten would smooth things over, or a sand garden. For a feminine soyboy like me, all it takes is a relaxing soak in the tub after a long week of (easy liberal elitist) "work" 🥰

Yo my b, I'm pretty sure I'm agreeing with you. I.e., tall women don't suffer more

Yeah I personally disagree. I'm 6'2" and I prefer taller women. Even if they're taller than me, I'm not complaining 😂

The real answer
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/22 04:29 PM

yeah I agree, and I don't mean to condone abuse of any form. All I'm saying is severe physical abuse is particularly heinous and instances of severe physical abuse are overwhelmingly perpetrated by men.

And domestic violence is pretty much equal for both genders, something like 55-45 (women-men) Source? Even if that's true by number of incidents, physical domestic abuse is definitely a way bigger problem for women. Women rarely if ever beat their male partners to death. Men do it all the time. Just to clarify, at no point was i comparing male and female rape victims. Just saying in impoverished situations, women suffer more. If you don't agree with that, then you're one of those unreasonable me…

Yeah women get physically abused and raped. Men's rights issues exist but it's pretty hard to top those two. I'm saying physical abuse and rape are more common in poor circumstances. If we're talking about the dating scene in NYC or LA, things are certainly different.

Yeah idk not to curb this discussion toward feminism but I think it's all about context. Most reasonable men can admit that there are a ton of women in poor/abusive circumstances who deserve more empathy and help than their male counterparts. At the same time, being a feminist doesn't mean I have to pretend that short guys hitting on you at bars is harassment

Agreed, but it's becoming national issue as we're seeing. I'm not trying to get involved in this argument, just wanted to clarify what I think they meant by "going feral" and how that's not really something we can be totally indifferent towards
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/22 03:22 PM
2

Let them go then. I guess soon we will be saying men are the main ones on welfare since most want to opt out of society with zero to no income Ummmm, I think "going feral" in this case might include overtones of violence here. Like mass shootings? Just sayin.

I feel like you conveniently breezed over the important middle school and high school eras which are huge in they're impacts on social dynamics. I think experiences in the early-mid teens form the basis for many people's social trauma. It's not just older men choosing to be antisocial.
