Why would that be creepy? It’s facts. Most of the people that day they don’t enjoy it is because they or their partner don’t know what they’re doing. It’s like dancing, you have to practice and learn each other’s bodies.

Masturbation works but does not come close to an experience with a great partner. It’s like comparing black and white movies to Avatar.

Stop the looks maxing perfectionist bullshit!!! Good sex is messy, drippy, and rubbing each other’s musk all over. EVERYONE has body parts that aren’t “perfect” and that makes them perfect because they are human. The quirky parts make the whole that is you, and you are your heart. If you steep yourself so much in your insecurities without realizing she has insecurities too you are completely blocking the physical and emotional love/connection that can happen.

In dating in my late 30’s my big asks were taller than me, not bald, financially responsible, and hoping they could still get regular hard-ons.

It is always easier to punch down than to punch up. Meaning it is easier for men to blame women, minorities, other religions rather than stand up to another man, especially one in their community. I appreciate your sentiments. I got myself banned from feminism because I used to go on red pill and try to chat with some. I hear so much pain behind the anger and if we can give the space to heal it would be so much better. Realistically this needs to be done by men in service of other men and especi…

Older white women are thrown away. We do not have a matriarchal culture or respect for any women over child bearing years. Justine can comment on this as the effect of Hollywood and its role in this. I agree, Eastern cultures do have more respect for their matriarchs. Hispanic cultures too. Yes, there is machismo but with the roles there is authority over certain domains. The house, food, and family is run by an iron first by mom.

If you resent her you need to break up with her. Stop wasting her time thinking you actually care for her. What do you bring to the table? Are you a good lover? Do you bring her to orgasm everytime? More than once? Think of sex for what it is, a physical interaction like dancing. How many dancers are naturally gifted but take years, with different partners and coaches, to perfect their physical craft? Think of athletes and how their bodies change and the work they do. I’m with someone who in the…

There is the shallow side of what you listed and the wiser side. Physical looks you cannot change but you do have control over how you take care of yourself. Find styles that suit your body and give you confidence and that positivity will project. Money (especially as I age) is something you have control over. I don’t have the patience for the guy who lives in his mom’s basement. I was broke and poor and while I don’t seek out rich men I need to know this person is financially savvy enough to be…

You cannot change him, he has to find his way out. The best you can do is communicate how you feel about how he is now. “I miss when we used to joke,” or “I miss when we used to do x when we were kids.” Maybe ask him if he’s happy and if he isn’t what is he going to do to change it. All of that anger is probably self-hatred having a new outward direction. All you can do is try to love him and encourage him but you cannot be attached to the outcome.

In a long term relationship these dynamics ebb and flow. I supported an ex through undergrad and grad school. He supported me some through mine. He got fat and lost weight. I slowly gained weight and after 3 rounds of IVF he was no longer attracted to me or in love with me. After our divorce we were able to find our way back to our friendship. Be accountable for what you contribute emotionally and financially in the relationship. Have frequent conversations to check-in about these. Life will thr…

From your typing errors and grammar you seem immature. I am not staying this as an insult but a fact. Also I would focus on watching channels involving men showing real leadership and thought. I also enjoy watching dog training shows because it gets into some of the basic mammalian behavior we are so disconnected from that the extremes conflate. If you watch the video on Senza of her dogs when one is in heat and paired with a stud it explains so much of our wired mating that we read too much into. The balance between what we are wired to do versus what we and our partners consent to do with resp…

If whomever you are with spends more energy on their previous relationship then they aren’t focused on their relationship with you. You are not a wimp for leaving. She has no right to take out her issues with him on you physically while you aren’t even conscious. That’s assault. Hopefully she figures out how to move on gracefully and so do you.

This is absolutely the wrong way to look at a partner. She should be the person who loves all your imperfections as you love hers. Going to the grocery store can be fun with the right partner. If having multiple partners is important then look for a woman who wants the same thing. Some type of ENM relationship. You both have to be honest with each other and about what each other wants to find that happiness and the best match.

As a woman who did not orgasm vaginally with penetration until I was 38 the answer is enough partners for you to be a good lover. You really can’t know unless you try to see if there is chemistry. Counts are irrelevant unless there are into porn actor numbers. What matters most is regularly testing and having some skills.

A pseudo intellectual dogma to make men’s perceived loss of power in the equalization of rights women’s fault instead the system which founded on slavery. Men didn’t have to work as hard and now women do better without them. Let’s blame it on women because that’s easier then blaming the men who created the exploitive system in the first place.m Edit: spelling

I love blue eyes/blonde hair OR some dark features. Every penis I have encountered is shaped differently and has its own quirks. Now I’m old enough I have to worry about them staying hard. None of that matters though if I meet a respectful man who is self-aware, emotionally intelligent, and especially a good lover. Your mouth, your hands, your technique matters much more than your dick size. If you’re not making her cum at least 3 times you are not being a good lover. The neediness is the most u…

Lots of people are introverts or are extroverts that need down time and some one special to spend that vulnerable time with. Also, you fall in love with someone’s heart. The packaging is nice but doesn’t last. Be authentic, do things that make you happy, put yourself out there without expectations and your joy and openness will draw others to you. Big hugs

Are women past their prime with grey hair or middle-aged tummies unconditionally loved? Are ugly dogs loved? There are a lot of people with insecurities about things they have no control of and I truly believe everyone can find love. It starts with loving yourself, being honest about your needs/emotions, and being honest with those in your life. Balancing your life is the hardest part, please figure out what you need to do to recharge yourself. Make sure your partner and your children have that time too. Well don't ask anything of her except the possibility of forgiveness. How long did you spend denigrating her, treating her poorly? In what form could you support her, help build her back up. She's probably regretting supporting you, loving you, making up all kinds of stories about how she is stupid or why she would love someone who could treat her like shit. First, you aren't broken, you are hurt. You need to dig deep and figure out why you are hurt in order to heal it but you are not a broken pipe to be "fixed". Try volunteering somewhere where you can be of service and just be appreciated for being there. Especially if it involves animals or nature, it can be very calming. You need something in your life to feed your soul and your heart.

Overweight men to a certain degree don't have to shop in a special section. Men's clothes are sized by actual measurements. Overweight women with the same variance are forced to shop in the "plus size" section. Plus size is defined as sizes 10-14. 5'9", 150 lbs at 14 with a big butt I was already a size 12. At 142 lbs I was a size 8 just barely. Add having kids and all the changes women go through and most women can become "plus" with normal aging. For added bonus most of the plus size clothes a…

So you found one feminist who didn't want to talk about men, do you really think she speaks for all feminists? On my FB and my #metoo post I encouraged everyone to post. The most painful part of my abuse is my father's denial that my older brother molested me (I had memories of the incident but was never sure who it was until I had a convo with that brother about what I could remember as a child. If everything you just said about yourself is true then why did you escalate a civil disagreement to calling me names. Even though you don't go to the gym you think any women who are intimidated by men should not go at peak times. So even though there is an imbalance in the gym culture the men have no responsibility for changing it, that work falls to the women and they shouldn't inconvenience the men in the slightest while doing so. Does that capture your stance?

I completely get it. You don't seem to get it and more to the point of why I commented, you don't seem to acknowledge the need for change. I see frustrated men on here complaining about tactics feminists use to right a wrong yet when the script is flipped they use the same bad tactics. How about I supported my dad whose financial failures caused money I had in a joint account with him to be siezed by the IRS? How about even though he pushed me intellectually he was also chauvanistic and a perfect example of a man suffering from toxic masculinity? If you want a woman who isn't only supportive of men she's attracted to then you want a feminist whether she or you call it that.

Why would you need men only if that is the default? If it is mostly all men all the time, and women feel uncomfortable, how would you create a space that would encourage them to participate?
/r/MensRights12/09/17 03:10 PM
2

No we didn't but you are obviously done having any meaningful discourse. Peak hours should be available to all so there should be a trainer present for everyone to stop bad behaviors from escalating and to help change the bro culture. You're only suggestion is women should come when they don't bother the men. That is a mirror image of men not being allowed in women only spaces (like domestic abuse shelters or group therapy). Both are destructive tactics and will not change anything.

I've been in yoga classes, where it is predominantly women, and been supportive of men I see trying it out. If they don't know what tools to get or how to use them I demonstrate and encourage them. Generalizations are awesome when dealing with general problems. Why not address it and deal with it (which is what this sign is trying to do) instead of making it women's responsibility to change it? Personal trainers cost more, a women's gym would cost more. These are facilities available to all students and presumably included with the cost if tuition. Why not start with men being more considerate (or at least tempering those with rude gym habits) instead of making it the women's responsibility to avoid them?

Weightlifting is a very male-dominated area and I have been in gyms with considerate men and gyms with men who are very intimidating and inconsiderate. Because all sex and nudity are evil and the devil's work. /s Also our Puritanical American culture cannot separate the two. All nudity is automatically sexual which is obviously not true. Many women become feminists out of refusing the feel ashamed for what their bodies are naturally designed to do. Read the petition, our whole society is afraid of breasts and while the photo went viral the police said right away they wouldn't pursue anything but the social worker judged the mother morally suspect since she didn't cover her breast while feeding her baby during an interview.

Well I tried. You have some serious gaps of knowledge and a very pompous view. Where is your source to show that all women enjoy being mothers? How can you even quantify that, women aren't allowed to complain if they aren't. I know multiple women who struggled with post-pardon(sp?) depression and while they dearly love their kids they are severely stressed. This also doesn't quantify good mothers over bad. You need to be around some children so you can grasp more what it takes. Of course you should clean and cook after your own children but if you are the only one doing it because the other parent is employed full-time it will be exhausting physically and emotionally. I provided sources but I am honestly taken aback that you don't seem to have a basic grasp of history. Women didn't have the right to vote in the states until the beginning of the last century after a serious struggle. You can't prove a negative. It doesn't have to be written into law to prove something existed. If you are as well-rounded as you elude you must know that history is written from the viewpoint of the conqueror or winner and the story is much more complex than the laws of the time. Those sources also explain the "inferiority" of women and why they were prevented in participating in governmental, financial, or industrial circles. Yes raising children, being a house keeper, cook, personal assistant, and social networker without financial renumeration is unpaid labor. The social expectation was the husband's income would be used to provide for his wife and family but that was not always the case. Women were not allowed to have bank accounts without their husband's consent. If the husband was abusive or just bad with money she was stuck without any control to change the situation even if she did get a job(what few existed).…

They didn't intervene because he is still standing, they probably didn't realize anything occurred. He knocked her out. Domestic violence is not okay regardless of the gender of the perpetrator. It is not privilege for women to get away with physical violence, it's acknowledgement of a handicap. A quick skim of statistics online found that more men may actually be victims of domestic violence (including psychological aggression) but women are much more likely to die.

Awful, didn't know that was a thing. The article said the practice died out 50 years ago in one region. Edit: so doing this practice then sewing it shut again would be the equivalent of FGM. Hopefully the cultures where this happens can let this tradition die.
/r/MensRights14/08/16 01:07 AM

To clarify, I think the female equivalent of male circumcision exists in the FGM spectrum but not vice versa which is probably why the other commentor was not supported by a female audience. Men and women should work together to change this practice which has negligible benefits. At hospitals in the US it happens quickly and is the routine so it takes both partners making it clear it is not something they want and communicating with hospital staff.

Yes, 100% you were mutilated and I would give you a big hug. Have you been able to explore other types of sexual stimulation and come to orgasm? Men statistically have tons more nerve endings around their prostate than women do which is why anal can be popular regardless of sexual orientation.
/r/MensRights13/08/16 04:01 PM
4

Also important to note that the term circumcision doesn't properly describe all the things that happen to women in FGM. The majority of men still enjoy sex and have full functionality. For FGM women part of the clitoris is removed and that is it. I think this would be the equivalent to male circumcision. Some FGM's take more than the clitoris and 20% of the women are infibulated. This means removing all of the clitoris, most of the vulva, and then sewing the skin together leaving only a tiny hol…

Yes it does but the churches and traditions are powerful influencers. When discussing having a child and not having him circumcised, my husband still wanted him to be circumcised so he would look like his dad. He thought that would be more traumatic than the circumcision. Edit: I agree male circumcision should be called genital mutilation but the term circumcision does not adequately describe all the different forms and severities of FGM.

Exactly, so it sounds like it's not respectful. If you act disrespectfully, expect a negative response. Women dress to impress other women and men dress to impress other men, everyone is showing off to get sex, power, whatever. It is a dance and an exchange. You want a better response try not being so thick-headed and be respectful. I have not misunderstood anything. You seem confused by looking and being pervy and I attempted to explain it to you. /r/MensRights07/08/16 03:05 PM

Of course you're looking, everybody is looking, that is the whole point. The problem is how you engage. Women can "feel" you looking and the tone can be a respectful "Looking amazing, go strut your stuff girl," or feel dangerous "you won't say no to me if I catch you alone." All of this is communicated WITHOUT WORDS, any verbal or physical engagement is too much if not done respectfully. Very well written and as a FEMINIST, I 100% support this type of introspection and questioning. We do live in a patriarchy, women do not have as much say as men, and the way our world works is a very masculine way. Women have made progress in the past 40 years but I do not define progress as exploitation. "Giving them what they deserve" or punishing a group for past mistakes will not benefit anyone. The amount of control and power one has on one's life should be equal regardless of gender. Both …

It's not about protecting Islam but asking a deeper question of what motivated this shooter. I would argue that most religions have some form of toxic masculinity; Christians protected pedophiles, Hasidic Jews marry their daughters off at 14 and provide no further education, Isis keeps sex slaves. "Hypermasculinity" is a term she's using to describe the unrealistic expectations/role of men in our culture. The "Oversexualized, anorexic" female is the counterpoint. Both, due to marketing, due to society norms/pop culture, place unrealistic expectations on both genders which are not healthy and can lead to violence/unhappiness/rage/depression . The violence starts as suppressed emotions, fear. We as a society need to start addressing why those emotions begin and how to diffuse them in a posi…

No you're wrong. The images on his shirt showed women in sexualized, objectified positions. The women in your photo are in a powerful position though nude. Imagine a woman in a powerful position(that is predominantly a female field) wearing a shirt with male Chippendale dancer's all over it saying men were welcome to that field and supported. That being said this whole thing has gone overboard and the guy is being lampooned for bad taste. I have friends with tats who embrace the rock-a-billy, re…

Thank you for your comment. I know you're friend will find his strength. All we can do is try to bounce back and push through it. I'm curious why he gets harrassed by men. Does he live in a place where he doesn't fit the stereotype? He has to let it roll off his back and remind himself that those that harass him do so to make themselves feel better about their own sad lives.

Thanks for the positive critical criticism, I have been delaying opening my inbox knowing I set myself up as a target. My thoughts are with your friend, everyone who is abused lives with it everyday. I watch this sub because as I said I love men and I want their stereotypes and archetypes to evolve to embrace all types. The male rage I see on here is very scary and I comment because at the end of the day most of that rage comes from a place of deep hurt and we need to be able to talk about it. W…

I just had dinner last night with a relative that molested me when I was a child. I stay involved because of my relationship with his daughter whom I'll never discuss why I can't stand her father. After the constant anxiety every time I know I will have to see him at family functions, and my own father denying the possibility that my abuse ever happened, reading this statement feels very right. I don't hate men and and I don't agree with everything the feminist movement does but I am a feminist.…

None of what you posit is allowable for men to do to women, so why do you apologize for the woman's obvious error. It's an inexcusable error. It is not cute or ironic. It's disrespectful and sociopathic. Fuck her whoever she is. She could be some little boy's mother, translating her fabulous world-view to him and making him take the brunt of her guaranteed to fail life plan. I'm not apologizing, I'm asking for context and questioning if this level of rage/anger is really appropriate in this situ…

As a woman I find this cringe worthy but not dropping a friend worthy. It is just as crass as truck balls, cat calls by construction workers, or similar. If she is a friend explain why this isn't funny to you. Is she small and petite and doesn't see the harm because she is so small physical violence against a man would be laughable coming from her? Tl:dr it is a bad analogy, but friends are worth educating on their poor choice of humor.

You sir are what is wrong with Men'sRights. Women are switching their work life outside of the home for the work of raising children. This should'nt be exclusive to women, men should be encouraged to participate in this process more. It is extremely sad that you feel men need maternity leave as an advantage over women.

Xpost from TrueReddit. Great insight into sexism women still experience and how men are supported as care givers in Norway. Paternity leave is something we should make mandatory in the US just like maternity leave.

I find gender roles oppressive for men and women both, this article discusses the correlation between food production methods and gender roles. Edit: While I think it is constructive to talk about gender tendencies in generalizations (women being nuturers, men being warriors in a very basic oversimplification), we need to allow room in society for both genders to explore both sides of their personalities. I believe all men have a nuturing side and all women have a warrior side and should be allo…

Your husband is definitely getting taken advantage of by his ex and the courts, there needs to be contextual application of the funds to make sure it is being spent on the kids but that invites more beauracracy. I have an in-law who is being squeezed for every dime while his ex is supposedly taking care of the baby. She has her mom, grandfather, and brother all in the same house, she is'nt breastfeeding and she isnt working. I refuse to believe she could'nt find some work part-time. On the flips…

No, sexual intercourse is an instinctual bonding mechanism we are built with. When sex is repressed due to societal restraints like marriage, ownership of a person/sex, homophobia then it bursts out in violent and destructive ways. My theory is if we could embrace sex as the bonding mechanism it is without the loaded baggage of societal constraints we would have less incidents of violent sex.

Okay - I understand your semantics regarding "reverse discrimination." My thoughts on this is the pendulum swing of power in any oppressed party's fight to achieve equality. First the oppressed labels or identifies those parties oppressing them in and in the rise to control of their own agency broadly defines all oppressors by the same negative characteristics that may not be valid. Once the oppressed party has achieved authority and is then challenged on over broad definition of wrong - then so…

1) The story line of Knocked Up is a "loser" guy being lucky enough have a one night stand with a really hot woman. Name one movie where it is reversed, where a girl equivalent of Seth Rogan lands a really hot guy. There are transformation movies like Miss Congeniality but let's be honest, Sandra Bullock isn't losing 40 lbs - she is bascially getting a make-over because she is gorgeous to begin with. The standards for ugly men are much lower than the standards for ugly women. 2) "The wage differ…

While legally corporations are no longer allowed to discriminate against women the culture has not changed. http://www.catalyst.org/knowledge/women-ceos-fortune-1000 Only 4.2 percent of Fortune 500 companies are female. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/20/sexist-workplace_n_2718249.html Women only earn 77 cents on the dollar for every dollar a man earns.

Okay, yes I am jumping around. To clarify: in the media, specifically movies, men have the advantage. Think "Knocked up". In print ads like Vogue men still have the advantage. Women's bodies are photoshopped into the unnatural proportions I mentioned earlier. Most men's bodies are not under this much scrutiny. I met a guy whose sole job was photoshopping Tyra Banks celluite. Did you see the little movie running on the front page a few days ago, I will try to find it. In business/government; men …

When the respect and rights to what happens in my uterus are mine I will agree with you. Otherwise I think there are more protections in place for women but they do not have more rights as we are still in a very male-dominated world.

I'm not talking about porn or okcupid but business owners, women who get promoted in fortune 500 companies. I work in high end furniture and the staffing is gay men or good looking women. My work place is more bohemian and open minded but I know I would not get hired in many of the high end design boutiques as I'm a taller and larger gal.

I am a feminist but my college experience of lesbian professors who made me feel like I wasnt a serious feminist because I still like the d was eye opening. Reverse discrimination doesnt help anyone, but I don't think we should disregard feminism entirely because of that.

I would say the same applys to women that don't have the unnatural body type of stick thin, no hips, unnaturally large breasts, and luxurious hair that is all over movies and media. How many older men play romantic roles with women 20+ years younger yet the reverse never happens.

Just because there are women in government doesn't mean women have acheived "equal" status. The majority of corporations and governments are still the "good old boys club" and run with a macho, explotative culture. Not that women are above explotation or corruption, but I think when more women are in charge we will see some change. Its also a question of changing our politics and capitalist system, but these energies all influence each other.

Women are just not encouraged to get involved and then don't trust their instincts. Go with her when she has to get some sort of maintenance work on the car and see how often the mechanic starts talking to you. Even if you tell him its her car, her decision, the majority will keep addressing you especially if she starts asking any questions

Again, how many with authority? I don't count Curves, but it does seem weird that the kayaking and swimming were female only. When it comes to sports most men don't have the patience for a slower female, so it can be a discouragement for those less confident and prevent them from participating.

Exactly why you'll never hear this idea ever explored but I think its the core of the issue. I don't think we will ever eliminate rape until we as a society can let go of ownership and monogamy. We were not meant to be monogamous, yet ever since we started farming and not living in tribes female sexuality has been owned by her father(protector of virginity) or her husband. Only when it is owned by the woman to give freely (without the whore/madonna connotations) will it cease to be a problem. Ed…

The article is biased but it sounds like he railroaded her. I do think little boys benefit more from being with mothers as opposed to fathers at that age, but I have a brother-in-law whose ex is bkackmailing him for money by dangling time with their son and its disgusting to watch.

Okay that escalated quickly. I don't agree with the wars we are in but I do feel women, especially feminists should embrace more male only responsibilities. I get tired of women who dont even try to learn how to check the oil in the car or lift something heavy. To me this is an extension of that ethic. If we were in a war here, everyone should work to defend ourselves, not just the boys.

Yes! The feminist community steers away from embracing the idea of sex/rape as a social bonding/domination instinct because it could be used as a reason to justify it. Men, women, and society in general needs to accept sex not just as a means of procreation but also solidifying social bonds. In cultures where sex is freely given rape is not as prevalent. We also need to lose the idea of male only organizations. These climates where women are not involved seem to create a vacuum that encourages a…

It should definitely be required of both sexes, but I think you can understand why mandatory sign-up to an organization fraught sexual abuse and scandals is'nt a priority. I do get tired of hearing complaints about equal physical requirements. We are not built the same, thus we cannot be equal. But we can accomplish the same goals through different means. I can squat more weight than my husband, he can do more pull-ups.
