Never been asked by anyone except one guy I went on one date with. Let’s just say that was our first and last date. My current BF of almost 3 years and I have never brought up numbers. We just never cared enough to ask. All we know is that neither of us were virgins when we met.

I’ve only ever been asked this question once and it was on the first date. My current LTR and I have never spoken about past partners with each other.

Why do you think women care about money (stability and security) more than men? You never cared to think about the evolutionary rationale that will lead a woman to a check a man’s LinkedIn and a man to never to think to do that? This is one of the most basic TRP truths that even bluepillers can agree with, and then you get the bitter guys like this that jump in and deny basic evolutionary biology. They interpret everything you say as WAW rhetoric.

Is not a sign of having more sex Exactly, of course someone careless enough to break laws and get caught wouldn’t bother to use protection. These guys baby mamas aren’t exactly innocent high value stacies either

I disagree. Men that I’ve thought were ugly at first became more and more attractive to me the more I got to know them to the point where I was having sexual dreams about them. Good social skills and a sense of humor go a looong way.

We don’t know that for sure. It could have been an unplanned pregnancy (at least John thinks it was).

our married friends kindof talk past you because you aren’t also married perhaps? At a certain point (like after 30), yes. Even among friend groups, if you're the only single one, people will say stuff to you that's not necessarily malicious, but shows that they think there's something off about you. They try to set you up with people or give you unsolicited advice or comments about why you must be single. In general, there's a very big pressure for women to settle down by a certain age - we get…

By social status, I mean more so acceptance and relatability among my peers. I also want to avoid the social stigma of being a "forever GF" or still single when all my friends are married off. Women get treated differently based on their marital status, not so much for men. However, I also wouldn't marry a man who couldn't support our children if we decided to have them while I stayed at home at least temporarily, so I guess there's that aspect of the "social status" as well.

Personally, I like straightforward men that know how to communicate what they want. However, there needs to be a buildup of attraction and chemistry first to make sure we get along well; this takes anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. Usually I'll throw around hints and flirtatious cues if I feel the chemistry is there. If an acquaintance I haven't spoken to beyond a few sentences was that blunt though, yeah, I'd probably be a bit offended.

most men would date a confident woman just as fast as they would an insecure woman Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

No, it’s not high n-count we are attracted to. We like men that have the option to sleep with different women, but choose not to. We want to know that they have the ability to stay loyal and commit to one person. No woman wants to date a man hoe.

I guess one of the biggest reasons for me, if I’m being shamelessly honest, is the social status of being married. Top that with a genuine desire to be a wife. Obviously it would be to someone I love and want to be with for the rest of my life, that’s first and foremost. I never wanted to get married up until maybe 2 years ago, and if I did definitely not until 30s. Now it’s my goal to be married by 28. I don’t even care about a wedding (family outings and being the center of attention makes me …

I’ll try to explain it the best I can. When a woman wants to have a baby she can’t provide for - “wow, you’re so strong and independent. You’re gonna be such a great mom!” When the same woman wants an abortion - “wow, you’re so strong and independent. You don’t need no baby to ruin your life.” Women don’t tell each other what they need. We tell them what they want to hear.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 02:02 AM
2

And then when women complain about becoming a parent when they’re a single mom, broke and mentally unprepared, no one is allowed to suggest they could have an abortion until they decide themselves. Funny how that works.

less emotional baggage An emotionally healthy woman wouldn’t have any more baggage in her 30s than she would in her 20s. Usually it’s women that are already mentally unstable in their youth or had a traumatic childhood grow up to stay that way, unless they somehow got through it with extensive therapy. more likely to take a relationship with me seriously Why? I thought women in their 20s were focused on just “having fun” and not ready to settle down, while women in their 30s were looking for a b…

Why do you assume that? If it was made up, why would he confess to his GF who had no suspicions about him prior? He was also crying and shaking the whole time. It’s still assault at the very least. He also woke up next to used condoms which implies penetration did happen while he was unconscious. Is EVERY rape story just made up then? So we should just let every convicted “rapist” set free, right?

Did you even read the entire post? He was unconscious and woke up to someone giving him a BJ and doesn't remember anything else. He was assaulted. But sure, being assaulted is just cheating with an overdramatic title, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 12:09 AM

Both sides are selfish. As long as you're a good parent, does your selfishness really matter? And as long as you're happy without kids, does your selfishness really matter? It's funny to me how people try to justify their own actions as being more righteous than the other side as if they feel they are doing something wrong.

Age really doesn't say a lot about how good of a wife you are or not. Sure, but learning the skills it takes to be a good wife takes life experience and practice; it's not necessarily something you are born with or not. The point I'm making is that someone who is 20 and better looking but is also immature, bitchy and has zero life experience has less RMV than someone who is 30 and caring and has a good head on her shoulders, but is less good-looking. SMV will increase your RMV, not in a 1:1 rati…

So if I understand this correctly, guys are more willing to provide for someone as long as she’s young and hot as opposed to someone closer in age who might make a better wife? (Not asking about you personally) I get the SMV part if you’re talking about a hookup or STR, but that says nothing about what relationship value she can provide. It’s not like youth and beauty will last forever. Also, youth does not mean you have a low n-count, lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 06:25 PM

The latter is much more palatable to most guys id wager since you get value back, the cost and benefits make sense What value do you receive back from someone younger than you as opposed to your own age?

The problem only occurs if you find out way later in the relationship after like kids and shit because you can't really just drop her then. When you're that so far into a relationship though, would it even occur to you to "just drop her" when you've been through that much together? Would you really look at the mother of your children any differently if you found out she once tried something with someone else years ago? I can understand if she cheated. But something small years ago before she eve…

But 8 years?! Honestly the girl is pretty dumb for tolerating it for that long assuming marriage is the goal (unless they got together before 16) but if you don't know if she's the one after 8 years I have a hard time believing he would know after 6 months.

Or it’s simply that she is prettier, the prettiest he believes he can catch, which can allow her to bypass some of the other requirements. Men are not really that complicated. Seriously? All it takes for a man to propose is if she's hot enough? The difference between these two scenarios is that men give their best, i.e. their commitment and resources, to their future long term partner, while modern women give their best, i.e. wild sex during their most fertile years, to temporary flings. Is "wil…

I’m not sure. I can only speak from anecdotal experience, but I think most couples don’t desire as much sex with each other as they become used to each other. My BF and I were having sex 3-4 times a day when we first got together, but that frequency is not sustainable long-term, so it slowed over time to about once a week because we just didn’t need to have it as much. Except I’m the one that has to initiate most of the time.

She's not even matching with these guys though, just ogling them and showing off the feature for internet points. I highly doubt she would actually match with them, and even if she did, she certainly won't be getting any messages from them.

I’m sure they already have. The issue is that a positive case by an unvaccinated person is far far more likely to transmit it to others regardless.

Per that article, men also lose sexual desire the longer you’ve been with someone. It’s the natural progression of a relationship, not a gendered thing.

I’m very attracted to my BF. I also simultaneously recognize he’s not the most attractive man I have ever seen. Our relationship actually started as a casual sex situation, and the relationship came a little later. 3 years later and we’re still happily together. The concepts of “my bf isn’t the most attractive” and “I would have casual sex with him” aren’t mutually exclusive.

Damn. I should tell my boyfriend of 3 years to stop liking vanilla sex, to be willing to have sex as often as me, and to do the dirty stuff to me that I like too since that’s obviously what being a man in a relationships is like.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 06:55 PM

Sure, all that makes sense. I'd love a woman more intelligent than me. But when a woman is "better" than a man, she uses it to disrespect him Truly intelligent women don't need to step down on others to prove it. It's evident just in their behavior alone.

Up to what point though? Do you not want to have intellectual conversations with your partner and just have them agree with everything you say? Or to the level of them trying to outwit you in every argument?

Lying is different and that’s not what I’m talking about. If you wait a few dates or weeks to weed out the ones who just want sex, that eliminates a lot of the time-wasters. Obviously not all, since a lot of men are desperate manipulators, but it gives you a lot more good guys to work with.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 04:43 PM

Then she’s stupid. If she wants a relationship, she shouldn’t hook up with him.

I didn’t say marry early. The smart thing to do is to find a LTR in your 20s and wait til late 20s/early 30s to marry. The ones that stay married are in that age bracket, are educated and have usually LTR’d for a few years beforehand.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 04:31 PM

Being hot is not the same thing as being high-value. If you have higher standards for a hookup than a LTR, you already lost the game.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 11:29 AM

I just think it’s silly to have high standards for a hookup while low ones for a LTR. If you can’t stand to be around the person you’re spending your life with, you’re already screwed.

Two homeless people can empathize with each other because they've experienced the same thing. Me, who has never been homeless, can't relate and therefore can't understand what it's like.

Others may need to sometimes explain to make us understand but the point of empathy is trying to understand what someone is going through You can absolutely try to understand, but we can never truly understand until we've been in the same situation before and can see it from their perspective. I mean if a woman complains about period cramps, as a man I’ve never had them but I can relate to the idea of being in pain and why that would suck. You can sympathize with them, sure, but until you've exp…

Sure, I can imagine it, but that doesn't mean I will ever truly understand what that feeling is like. Just like I will never understand what it's like to be black or LGBT. I can sympathize with them , but we will never share the same perception about that experience.

Imagine I said "Why would I rent a corvette when I could buy a civic?". It's because I work at a help desk and this way I at least get the experience for a day. And why do you think the woman lowered her standards for the Civic? Maybe all she wanted to begin with was something reliable, cost effective and long-lasting. My point is that if women's only choice was to spend decades with someone they couldn't stand to be around, none of them would get married. If you're gonna spend your whole life w…

I’m more so questioning the trope a lot of men here seem to believe that a woman marries a man she’s not attracted to for security and resents him for not being as hot as her former hookups. I completely agree that a man’s character and values are much more important than looks for a LTR. I just question the mindset of people believing that I’m somehow settling or lowering my standards for someone I choose to spend the rest of my life with who actually treats me well, or that I somehow couldn’t …

Maybe she “lowered” her standard in terms of looks/height but she gets a man who will support and commit to her. Exactly. That’s not lowering your standards at all, that’s the bare minimum!

There’s a lot of pressure from friends, family, society and probably our instincts to get married and have a family. It sounds like these women should’ve started looking for a potential husband sooner then, if by the time they start to feel that pressure they’re still single. They’d have a larger pool of men to choose from for marriage the sooner they look. It seems really sad to me that people don’t prioritize finding a life partner early in life, when they have more time to find someone they w…

Why would a woman choose to spend a few hours with a very hot man yet choose to spend a few decades with a man she lowered her standards for? This argument never made sense to me.

Well, duh. We can do it all since housework is just putting plates in dishwashers and throwing clothes in the washer, apparently. It’s so easy that women can do it, yet men should only have to cover the bills. /s
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 01:25 AM

I don’t necessarily disagree, but I also think it’s kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you believe you’ll never find someone then chances are you never will. There’s no such thing as “the one”, more so about being in the right place at the right time. Luck plays a big factor, but so does experience. It’s something you can build upon - dating and getting better at it is something that can be learned and improved upon, not all or nothing.

How can we truly empathize with someone whose lives we will never experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 01:09 AM

I got “down to earth” for my standards and that was still in the top 18% of men. So maybe the top 20% isn’t actually just a bunch of mega chads?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/21 09:45 PM

Men don’t need women to look after them anymore and women don’t need men to provide for them anymore. Except if you’re having children together someone needs to provide while the woman is recovering from childbirth and out of work. Even if she goes back to work soon after, there will still be an income gap. If anything I’d blame rising costs of living for needing two people to work full-time. Money used to go a much longer way than it does today.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 08:48 AM
2

This isn’t helpful advice. Sex with a new person is rarely good the first time. Sexual compatibility can be built upon. EDIT: Attraction also definitely isn’t the issue. OP said he’s tall and in shape. So how is this man different from “chad”? Some men are simply inexperienced or at worst just need a little coaching in bed. That’s not grounds to end dating someone after one bad time IMO.

do your best to be a good corregulator (to be on the same page with others about the nature of your relationship) This one is especially important and one that so many people neglect. Reminds me of the post shared on the Daily Chat thread about the woman who dated a guy for 10 months without ever being upfront about expectations. You’re only shooting yourself in the foot by not being straightforward from the beginning and vetting out the time-wasters early on.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 08:02 AM
1

The fact that we do not need each other any more, didn’t help either Men and women will always need each other. Maybe not in the literal sense for survival, but it takes two to continue the species. Most people are heterosexual and both genders will always crave love, validation and sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 07:53 AM

You want people to follow a law or guideline, then need to understand what it is. That’s my whole point of education is teaching young people what that line actually is and when it’s okay to continue and when to stop. And no, if she regrets it later but consented in the moment that’s still consent.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/21 03:07 PM

Rape by a stranger is very rare. It’s usually by someone you knew and thought you could trust. Not because of “regret.”
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/21 01:05 PM
5

Except there’s sometimes a gray area with consent that a lot of people don’t even realize they’re breaking a boundary. We need to teach young students how to set boundaries and how to obey them while at the same time teaching people to keep themselves safe.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/21 12:58 PM

You need to look in places that your ideal partner would hang out in. If you’re marriage-minded then searching for a similar partner in a bar probably isn’t your best bet.

Yup. “The one” doesn’t exist, it’s all a matter of being in the right place at the right time. And maybe you’ll get lucky and spend your entire life with that person.

Coercion includes use of alcohol or drugs, threats, manipulation, or repeatedly getting "no" for an answer and pressing on anyway. Things that many people don't consider assault. Many of these things ARE illegal. I'm probably missing a few examples.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/21 04:05 PM
2

18 year old women can make their decisions. And they can bear all the consequences of those decisions, good and bad. Absolutely. At the same time, a 40-year-old using sexual coercion to have sex with very young men and women is a form of sexual assault and many people don't even realize they are being abused. I suggest proper education to young people about boundaries and protecting yourself from these potential situations. Unfortunately that's something most schools and/or parents gloss over.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/21 03:39 PM

I don’t blame anyone for wanting to date someone high-value, just don’t feel entitled to acquiring these men if you’re not up there in value yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/21 08:53 PM

Yes. They only let men take them out for expensive dinner dates and they must pay - coffee dates are unacceptable. They also make fun of poor or “low value” men. They insist on all this without mention of what they themselves can provide, and call women who try to do something nice for a man a “pickme.”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/21 08:51 PM
15

Mine - not overweight and at least somewhat fit physique, has a job/career (doesn’t have to make 6 figures), good hygiene and at least knows how to take care of himself, is kind and patient, yet dominant and masculine. FDS - man that is willing to wait months for sex, pay for most things, has a demanding career making 6 figures yet also does half of cooking/cleaning, buys her expensive things, wifes her up quick.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/21 05:28 PM

My definition or the FDS definition?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/21 05:12 PM
39

TRP - be able to fuck as many women as you want, don’t ever LTR/marry or provide for a woman FDS - a man willing to wait 3 months for sex, pay for dates, marry soon after dating, make a lot more $ than her and provide for her FDS basically wants a traditional husband without wanting to be a traditional wife/woman. TRP just wants sex.

While this sounds sweet and I’m happy for you, the reality is that most people cannot afford to raise children on a single income. And some women actually enjoy working. Another commenter on this thread pointed this out, but a man who sleeps with 50 woman isn’t sexy if the woman are unattractive, obese, deformed in some way, etc. It shows he has low standards. A man who sleeps with 20 woman can be sexy if all the women are attractive because it shows he is selective, and she wants to be among those women. It’s the quality of the woman over the quantity.

Very common sentiment on here, you’ve never seen it? It’s pretty gross for men to sleep with any woman that offers. Self-restraint is sexy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 12:11 PM

the ability to have lots of sex is not the cause of the attractiveness but the result. Often times this is true, although even in cases where I don't find the guy particularly attractive, he becomes more attractive to me after finding out other girls are interested in him.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 02:40 AM
6

And that’s the sad truth, most people are slaves to their genitals.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 12:34 AM
3

I know, and that’s part of the issue with the culture. The idea of “masculinity” that both men and women enforce to the point where it’s detrimental to men. What men tend to forget is, the only thing more attractive than a man who can have lots of sex is a man who can have lots of it but chooses not to.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 12:32 AM
5

And vice versa for the women. That doesn’t mean it would help them in any way to keep participating in it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 12:28 AM
10

What else can you do with the decline? Well, reject it for one. It would serve greatly both men and women by choosing not to participate in a culture that emphasizes casual sex, heavy partying and self-centered instant gratification. I understand that it’s easier said than done. It’s very hard to completely remove yourself from the entire culture. At least the MGTOW movement is trying to do that to some extent.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 08:40 PM

The point I got from FloppyFishcake was that things don’t always work out the way we intend them to, so while we make plans for our future (as we should!) we should also prepare for any curveballs that may come our way like the example she gave and that we shouldn’t make X our only outlet in life. I don’t see what’s so “blue pill” about that.

Physically maybe, but emotionally? Mentally? Financially? I'd rather regret not having kids sooner rather than rushing it and regretting it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/21 03:39 AM
5

I was talking more about aesthetic changes to the body after pregnancy since the original comment was about looks. I don't deny the fertility differences by age, but if we're deciding when to have kids by when we're most fertile, then we would have them all in our late teens/early 20s. But like you said, 32 is still a realistic age to have kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/21 03:36 AM
23

So the alternative, to have kids young and potentially before you’re ready and/or with a person you’re not married to, is the better solution of the two? Is that worth the trade-off of having a “better body”? I imagine it would be hard to see much difference in having a child at 32 instead of 27.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/21 09:43 PM
6

So producing your own children is what makes you a man? Does being sterile make you less of a man?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 03:48 AM

OR we adjust our values on what not to do by learning from our own parents’ mistakes. Both of those things can be true.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 02:45 AM
4

Usually this is true. Although I was mostly raised by my father, so I’m probably an outlier in that statistic. Luckily, I’ve learned from my mother’s (many) mistakes of what not to do, and it’s made me more mature for it. I had to grow up fast and adjust my values to what I truly wanted in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 02:38 AM
3

I understand this completely. I’ve met almost all of my BF’s family and he’s met one of mine because I’m not in contact with most of them. I get really overwhelmed sometimes with his family get-togethers because it’s so out of my element, and I get uncomfortable with some of the questions they ask me about my own family. I’d probably have a panic attack if they ever had to meet all of each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 02:35 AM
10

I didn’t read the entire post, but this makes a lot of sense. People that don’t tend to catch your eye the first time you see them are often able to become more attractive the more you get to know them as a person. For example, I’ve had coworkers that I thought were straight-up ugly when I first saw them. Then as I got to know them and enjoy their company, I became attracted to them to the point where I was having sexual dreams about them. People underestimate the power of good social skills and…

A man who’s short, or ugly, or simply average is gonna have a hard time reaching those “low standards.” That’s not what I’m saying. My point is that if you only take one factor like looks into consideration but entirely neglect a man’s personality, values, etc. just because he’s hot, his looks have to exceed every other factor, so of course they would most likely be unrealistic, but lacking in every other category. If you date an average man who may be short, bald, fat, etc. but you’re still att…

They’re not low, she’s just a whore who only cares about physical attractiveness and will fuck evil men if they turn her on. Her standards are low though. Anyone who cares solely about looks have low standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/21 07:04 PM

If a guy I was dating was making plans with me, going on dates with me and actively spending time with me while omitting the fact that he is seeing other women, I would feel disrespected. I’m sure most men would feel the same way unless they were doing the same thing.

Except women can’t have it all, at least not realistically. If you choose to have a career, marriage and children, at least one of those is going to suffer. But that also goes for men.

Of course women like sex. They like it so much that they’re giving it casually away to men very easily. That’s the whole point of my post. Not sure where you’re getting this from my post. Also, I’m a woman.

Thank you for your comment. Absolutely there are plenty of men that still commit. If commitment isn’t something they want, there’s nothing stopping them from having casual sex. The same goes for women. Since men are no longer expected to provide for women and have easy access to NSA sex, there’s no incentive to work as hard for their affection, while simultaneously improving their own lives in the process in order to become a better “provider.” Obviously if men genuinely want a relationship and …

I agree with this. I’m talking more so about the culture surrounding casual sex and the ability to not have to work hard and get into a relationship to have sex. TRP men are told to “enjoy the decline” after all, not reject it. If a lot more men and women rejected it, we would see the hookup culture dismantled.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 06:38 PM

I don’t blame women, just the culture that applauds them for having casual sex and doing a disservice to them as a result of that. Relationships are compromise. I agree, but unfortunately some people don’t think they need to “give up” anything for their partner in order to make the relationship last. Or they think at a certain point they can stop trying as hard as they did in the beginning and their partner will love them all the same. The world doesn’t work that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 12:36 PM

I agree. My only qualm with it is that the hookup culture is so glamorized that many people seem to prefer it over meaningful relationships, which bring up a whole bunch of other issues not relevant to this post.

I was using that as an example of how much the culture has shifted. That’s not the reason men want commitment.

Would men really be working all that harder in a world where BB is still appealing? I believe so. Women used to stay at home with the kids in most cases and took care of the household while the men worked to provide. Let’s consider the possibility that feminism is the cause, let’s see the possible causes of that: • The lowering of marriage rates in feminist and non-secular countries. People are getting married later and staying single longer, therefore increasing sexlessness. • Less traditional men and women are opting out of marriage and relationships due to the increase in casual sex due to feminism. • People are more focused on getting their education, increasing voluntary sexlessness. So which one is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 09:44 PM

Those women are not the majority. Most women don’t want to get married and have kids? That’s news to me. they do a 180 when it’s time to settle down and scrap their social media. Is that so? How do you know? The sluts at my college all hung out with each other. The prudes all hung out with each other. Your friends shape your values, after all. most men are not interested in getting married. Again, how do you know?

Of course bad things happen in every relationship. Relationships are about working through the adversity to make it work. If your point is that those bad things aren’t worth the good, then you shouldn’t get in one to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 08:56 PM

That’s my whole point. You can’t call yourself a feminist while complaining about the decline of one or both genders as a result of the ideology that you hold true.

Plenty of “modern women” do. Most women that I know that are my age (early 20s) want to get married and have a family, and some already have concrete plans to do so. Those women are different from the ones having casual sex, those types run in different circles. If you can’t find one good woman to marry in a sea of them, maybe that requires some self-evaluation to figure out why you’re not meeting or attracting those types of women. Believe it or not many Gen Z and younger millennials are refusi…

What I dislike is women asking where has the chivalry gone Feminism only caused the decline of chivalry. So the women who complain about that only have feminism to blame.

Less feminism means less dick though because casual sex would still be taboo.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 07:03 PM

This is the issue though, the men on PPD who complain about feminism also complain about male sexlessness and think that they’re a cause and effect of each other when they’re actually mutually exclusive issues. If they truly had an issue with feminism they would simply settle down with one good woman and hold value in the concepts of marriage and family, like you said.

Not saying that either, but I also believe that a lot of men who struggle with romantic relationships likely didn’t have proper role models growing up who could show them what a good, healthy relationship looks like, especially from a man’s perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 05:26 PM

I mean, on a very basic level I think every human is deserving of some type of affection and that starts with nurturing parents. We are social creatures who depend on relationships as a psychological need. So I completely understand and empathize with men who never receive that.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 05:12 PM

For men who want relationships, they don’t expect to find a partner on OLD but that is the hope for relationship-minded men. If he has a chance to have casual sex he’s not gonna say no but a relationship is ultimately the end goal. At least that’s how it was for my BF when we met on Tinder.

It’s actually rare imo to see a very ugly man. Most men are average, maybe slightly above or below depending on where. But it takes a very repulsive man for me to think he’s ugly. We already know that “sexual liberation” benefits men more than it does for the women, so why would men choose to change that? If women are the gatekeepers of sex, then women need to be the ones to stop having sex with men who won’t commit. That’s the only way men will change their behavior.

In my experience, the women I knew with a ton of partners (10+) usually want a man who also has a lot of sexual experience. These types of women think it’s strange if a man is sexually repressed. Less experienced women typically don’t think the same or at least care less about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 04:10 PM
6

The men those types of women are trying to LTR are likely just as promiscuous as they were. Most people date others that hold the same values as they do, that includes sex. Men also don’t brag about their sexual conquests to women they see as an LTR either.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 03:50 PM

This is what a lot of people don’t get. It’s supposed to be natural and not forced. Not having sex within the first couple dates doesn’t mean you’re “making them wait”, it just wasn’t the right time.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 03:47 PM

All the women I know that aren’t sexually repressed had sex with their LTRs early on. The only ones that didn’t were virgins.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 03:35 PM

This is correct. My LTR and I had sex on our second date. I don’t know anyone who waited months to have sex with their partner unless they were virgins before.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 03:32 PM
6

Women are attracted to men only above their own SMV. So do you think most couples aren’t looksmatched and the man is usually more attractive? I’ve been attracted to men I wouldn’t necessarily consider objectively attractive because the way they carry themselves often makes many of them appear more attractive. Not saying it can turn a 2 into an 8, but it’s very rare to see a truly “ugly” man ime.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 01:26 PM
4

I don’t really notice it. I’m sure people have sexualized me before in a way that I’m unaware of, but I try to dress and act modest enough so that it would hopefully help the way people look at or treat me. Occasionally I would catch people staring at me, men would ask me out or flirt with me, or people would honk at me or catcall on the street, but besides that I just go through my life not thinking about it like any other normal person would.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 12:15 PM
2

Yeah, if it’s been more than three dates and you don’t know if the person you’re seeing is who you want to spend all your time with, I completely agree it’s time to move on and stop wasting time. But if it’s only been one or two dates and you’re not sleeping with them yet, I don’t think it’s a bad thing to go on another date if you’re unsure about the other prospect. But as soon as sex happens it should be exclusive.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 12:03 PM

We were both open and honest with each other about other people. It only took about two or three dates for me to realize he was the only one I wanted. It actually took him a lot longer to delete Tinder than it did for me.

“Spinning plates” is different than dating a few people. A plate is someone you don’t intend to date, at least not seriously. At least with dating, you have the hope that it will turn into something serious.

No, not always. It took two or three dates for either of us to really open up with each other. That’s when I knew. And dating a few people at once doesn’t mean you’re sleeping with all of them. As soon as my BF and I became intimate I stopped talking to the others because I prefer exclusivity.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 08:45 PM

Huh? It’s called falling in love, dude. Sorry you think women are cold-hearted bitches that can’t love. And before him, one of the guys I was starting to like dumped me out of the blue, and the other was just an asshole that I had already stopped contact with prior to meeting BF. Believe it or not - not every relationship works out! Sometimes people have legitimate reasons for not moving forward with things, and often times it’s out of their control, like getting dumped.

Except when you find a man that you genuinely like and only want to spend time with him, you forget about the others and focus on being with him. That’s what dating is all about, trying to find the one that works best for you. That’s certainly what happened with me — I was talking to a few other guys before I was with my current BF, although it wasn’t a “rotation” by any means. I dropped contact with the others when I realized he was the only one I wanted.

Men don’t want to settle down until 45+? Marriage-material men are usually already scooped up in their 20s, and same thing for the women. Men that wait until 45+ usually have to work with leftovers (divorcees with kids, etc.)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 07:57 PM

Just curious, why is high-waisted clothing immodest to you? I definitely know how you feel with the awkwardness of wearing dresses. You can start by wearing rompers and jumpsuits if that helps then progressing to dresses and skirts. You can still dress feminine without dresses or skirts. A big part of femininity is how you feel and carry yourself when you wear something you’re confident in. You can wear a feminine top with form-fitting pants and cute flats or heels. You can opt for more casual s…

I also believe many women are “red” w/o necessarily being RPW. Yes, women can believe in TRP truths to an extent without “submitting to their captain” so to speak. Just like how on the political spectrum, there are conservative women who don’t care about being submissive or feminine, and there’s liberal women who like being those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 04:58 PM

Not sure why you think these women are only dating subpar men. Most of the women on that sub are already married or in committed LTRs - the whole point is that they want to make it last. There’s also plenty of advice about vetting and a healthy mix of “alpha” and “beta” traits that marriage-material men should have.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 11:58 AM
7

I would consider myself to be a RPW but I think it’s more nuanced than what TRP is for men. The goal of the subreddit is to obtain or keep commitment from men by constantly improving yourself in red-pilled terms, such as downplaying shit-testing and hypergamy as much as possible. It also believes in the masculine-feminine dynamic of a husband and wife. Ultimately, we accept TRP truths, but we have different ways of executing them — men typically use it for sex and women use it for commitment. Al…

I’m assuming you’re not blowing all your money on every woman you date at first. Both should be giving about equal amount in that regard. Dating is about what each person has to offer, not what they have to offer you.

I was just using those as examples of what men on here seem to value in women. Obviously they should and do bring more to the table. Not saying a woman should just sit on her ass all day. Just that many of the things women can bring are equal in value. Example: A man working full-time and providing enough money for both of them while the women does 100% of the cooking and cleaning in the house.

Except I’m not talking about warmth and kindness in men. Those are traits that many men on this sub claim to want in a woman. The man provides the masculinity and the woman provides the femininity. But you clearly don’t value those traits in women and that’s okay. You seem to think the same value is having the same expectations for both partners: both must be the same height, same strength, same income in order for it to be “equal.” Just because the qualities are different doesn’t mean they aren…

Men in general are taller, stronger and make more money than many women. Just because the man may be taller or stronger than the woman, that doesn’t mean she’s not giving something of equal value to him: femininity, warmth, kindness, etc. It all balances each other out in my opinion. The issue starts when one party is giving much more to the other than they’re receiving.

So only a minority of women are also having sex along with men, at least in a university setting? And since only 11% are celibate by choice, doesn’t that disprove that any woman can get laid just by walking outside?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/21 12:50 AM

This is usually the attitude of people who don’t get run over very often. You’re right, my life has been fairly privileged besides being in a foster care as a kid and when I wasn’t there, being raised by a single father. I was lucky enough to be able to attend college besides a rough childhood and create my own life outside of that. It’s no secret that being attracted to someone increases your likelihood to cum. But a hot girl can be with a hot guy and not orgasm at all. Not every girl is able to orgasm from oral sex, and hot men may not see getting their partner off as a priority since they have easy access to sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/21 11:33 PM

Why do you assume all hot men can easily make a girl orgasm?

I won’t deny some of the hypocrisy surrounding sex work and feminism, such as supporting its legalization/decriminalization while criticizing the men who use these services. So if a man is a bad cook and so his wife does most of the cooking, should he just suck it up and learn how to cook since he isn’t good at it, even if the wife enjoys cooking? Or if the wife is bad at budgeting and handling money, letting her more financially adept husband handle the money is a bad thing? This is all assuming the arrangement is agreed upon of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/21 01:57 PM

Can you elaborate? I’m talking about for example, a feminine woman expecting a masculine man or vice versa. Or a man making most of the money while the woman does most of the housework. Do you think that’s a bad thing? Also, it’s actually men who have changed my mind about this, not women.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/21 01:54 PM

I believed that egalitarian relationships were the only fair way to have a partnership. Both should make around the same money, same amount of housework, not expect the partner to do anything they themselves wouldn’t do, etc. Now I understand that people have different expectations for their partner that they themselves can’t or don’t want to live up to, and that relationships aren’t always 50/50. it's not about making dating easier, it's about making money. Absolutely. The issue is that people tie their self-worth to matches, likes, and how much sex and validation they can get. OLD is a billion dollar industry that profits on people's loneliness in a culture that praises casual sex and renders single people worthless. It's fucked up and I think people know this, but they give in to it anyway because they are unhappy being alone. It's a vicious cycle. I truly think society would be better…

This so much. There's so many mixed messages on both sides of the continuum that it's hard to feel secure either way. I was self-conscious when I was a virgin and now I'm insecure about having sex, even though I'm also not a slut. It's best if people just stick to a values system that they believe in and don't look back. Otherwise, you'll never feel fulfilled.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 02:03 PM

My point is that shit happens in life and if you're only marrying someone for something they can provide for you, your marriage isn't going to last IMO. And, sure, if the wife agrees to it. But even if she does I have a hard time believing she would actually be okay with it, and that will only breed resentment. Remember, your wife is also losing out on enjoyable sex, not just you. Which goes back to my original point that relationships are about sacrifice.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/21 03:22 AM

Relationships should not be so transactional that you view them as "you give me money, I give you sex." It should be about sacrifices and compromise and a willingness to give your all to the other person, and if they are a good partner they will do the same for you. Otherwise, both parties are essentially agreeing to jump ship at the first ground-breaking problem -- your husband loses his high-earning job and since his money is the only thing keeping you, what will stop you from leaving? Or vice…

How is having high standards compatible with having children with someone that’s not willing to stick around? Single motherhood is celebrated? There’s still a HUGE stigma against having kids out of wedlock. As someone who’s parents were never married, I get a lot of weird looks and comments when people learn that about me from both younger and older people.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 07:09 PM

The reason why women aren’t getting married and having children is because they can’t find a guy who’s up to their standards. Plain and simple. I disagree with your definition of what a “nice guy” is. Altruism is not exclusive to people without a backbone - men can absolutely be willing to do the right thing but still willing to stick up for themselves when needed. It’s the guys who are way too agreeable and pushovers who let people walk all over them that I would consider a loser. And not all of these guys are altruistic either, just spineless.

They don’t need 15 years. No one is saying it takes 15 years though. And sometimes people are in their 30s and getting out of LTRs or marriages and have to start over. They can desire both a relationship and something casual You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If you truly desire a relationship, you’re only wasting your time by keeping a casual thing going. Most women have been in at least one or two long-term relationships by their early to mid 20s. Just because a relationship doesn’t work out doesn’t mean they didn’t want it to either, that’s the whole point of dating - not every relationship is going to make it to long-term. In fact, most won’t. Why don’t you ask all the single men in their 20s why they aren’t pursuing relationships then, since they’re the ones these young women are going for.

I’m looking for the right person. Lol ok. Not saying you have to use those words, but you should still come to some sort of understanding within a few dates that you want to keep it casual. Agree to disagree, but a lot of women don’t need too much longer than that to know how they feel about somebody and know they desire them sexually. I don’t really stand for pink pill feminism’s sex-negative attitude that sex is inherently bad for women. How is having sex after spending a few weeks with someone of mutual attraction and enjoyment of each other’s company foolish behavior? Like I said, I think it’s a reasonable standard and if someone wants to have sex sooner than you do then you’re probably just incompatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 02:25 AM
4

Most women in my circles usually have sex by the third date or so. If they’re virgins or inexperienced than usually longer, but they usually partner with inexperienced men so the expectations are already lowered. But none of them have any weird hangups or rules about having sex too soon. Regardless people should be upfront about those things so no one’s time is wasted.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 02:15 AM
6

Not for most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 02:05 AM
6

Don’t be fat. Not wanting to pay for every date in the beginning. Feminine appearance/manner. Sex within a reasonable time frame (within a few dates or weeks). Wanting someone with similar values (marriage, family, politics, religion, etc.) Any other standard is acceptable as long as it’s not hurting anyone. But if they’re too high than sometimes you either have to accept being alone or lowering them.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 12:45 AM

No one. It was just a response to your comment that unattractive men usually aren’t approached, and I responded that they shouldn’t be resentful at women because of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 12:28 AM
1

It requires building up courage and at least acting confident for both men and women. And that inevitably builds up confidence for future approaches. irrevelant however since women don’t approach USUALLY they don’t, but it still happens. Men usually don’t approach women either, and yet I often see how men have to “be confident and just approach.”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 12:26 AM
1

No, I’m saying that you can’t fault women for not approaching and trying to game men that they’re not attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 12:07 AM
1

So you’re saying that approaching someone has nothing to do with their confidence?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 11:39 PM
0

so confidence can help a woman stand out from the competition That’s my point, confidence helps. I get that it can be frustrating for unattractive men to never get approached, although it’s not the fault of women for not being attracted to them. Would men approach women they’re not attracted to?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 11:37 PM
1

most women, confident or not, don’t approach however. Right, but that’s my point: it takes confidence to approach someone. The woman who takes the lead is more likely to stand out than the less-confident ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 11:19 PM
2

Not always. It can be a good or bad thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 10:51 PM
5

I think the older women become, the more confident they are and the less fucks they give. Men complain that women don’t approach them but they’re also saying that confidence doesn’t matter at all - well, which one is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 10:37 PM
2

So the cute woman that approaches you has less of chance with you versus the hot but shy woman that stays in the background?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 10:32 PM
29

I like that men are silly a lot of times and don’t take things too seriously, they are often willing to do difficult jobs, and they do whatever they can to help their family and partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 12:41 AM
1

I will walk away That’s the whole point of STFU, walking away from the situation and regaining composure. The example I used of “doing what’s asked” was a different scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 06:28 PM
5

The vast majority of men and women are still having kids regardless. But the minority is starting to become a lot louder. And childfree women aren’t having kids because they can’t find chad. If someone truly doesn’t want kids finding a good spouse won’t change their mind, men included. Ask all the single mothers how many of their baby daddies are deadbeats, criminals or abusers. Baby rabies find a way regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 06:17 PM
1

I haven’t seen those examples specifically but from my understanding, it’s better to let your partner cool down when they’re angry or to just do something when asked. It’s also more so the way you say things instead of talking at all. Like instead of complaining about the type of couch he bought, you can make your opinion known without judging his choice, like “I prefer the leather one.” It’s not just in relationships either, sometimes you just need to know when to shut up in everyday situations…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 05:59 PM
2

Agreed. It’s meant to stop “nagging” of things that really should just be let go and don’t make much of a difference. It doesn’t mean you have to become a mime.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 04:19 PM

FDS and RPW are more of a vetting strategy than a dating strategy. Most women don’t do enough of it because they have so many options.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 04:15 PM
6

I’m willing to bet that millennials and Gen Z will be having kids at a much lower rate, but much of it will be by choice. Even marriage rates in these age ranges are dropping.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 04:09 PM
5

It’s not just young men. The average young woman is also having sex later than earlier generations.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 04:05 PM
1

What kind of relationships do you think those involve?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 11:23 AM
7

Except lots of women at RPW are already in LTRs/marriages and use it to help make their relationships work. It’s not really meant to be a dating strategy, although some women do use it for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 02:43 AM

It makes you a POS if you “smash and dash” after giving her false hope that you wanted a relationship with her. Otherwise I agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 01:31 AM
1

I think it’s a different story when it comes to getting married and having kids. It’s supposed to be a lifelong commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/21 12:36 AM
8

Oh I’m sure. My point is that you need to be sure that you know the person you’re marrying really well and that you know for a fact you’re willing to commit to them for the rest of your life. Otherwise you shouldn’t get married at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/21 06:55 PM
5

Wondering the same thing. Never understood why people get married if they’re just gonna get divorced.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/21 06:37 PM
9

As a woman who likes to be submissive, I disagree. You can still submit to someone “on your level.” Dating your “equal” does not mean the man cannot dominate. It’s all about your dynamic and who takes charge in the relationship. Also, it’s not healthy to consider yourself to be inferior to your partner just because you’re submissive. That is NOT what submission means.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/21 09:06 PM

Insecurity is a big one. Women that are worried about her partner having female friends or him going out alone and might cheat shouldn’t be in a relationship. Same with women who need constant reassurance from their partner. I’ve never understood jealousy - relationships are built on trust.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/21 07:48 PM
9

This. I once went on a date with a guy who asked me to be his girlfriend after our first date (with zero chemistry) and only our second time meeting. Let’s just say there wasn’t a second date.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/21 07:39 PM
1

Personally, I want someone who will stand up for his family in times of need, which is exactly the type of guy I have now. That doesn’t at all make him an asshole. It’s not as rare as you seem to think.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/21 05:33 PM
4

she says she wants a kind guy what she actually means she wants a kind guy who doesn’t take shit from nobody Because kind does not mean passive and agreeable. It just means you’re a good person who does the right thing. That doesn’t mean we want someone who is spineless. Two completely different qualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/21 12:26 PM
7

I don’t think this is true at all. Emma Watson is considered gorgeous to most of the population. I’ve also seen Scarlett Johansson considered “attainably attractive” on this very own subreddit, so tell me more about how men overrate women, or at least celebrities?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/21 12:20 PM
1

If you don’t want to resort to social media and dating apps then the only choice you have is to put yourself out there. Join clubs or classes and talk to people, most people are pretty friendly by default.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/21 12:01 AM
1

I’m not quite sure honestly, because I do not really subscribe to the sentiment that women have it all that worse than men do. But if I had to guess, some women just don’t think that they need to protect themselves more than men do in order to feel safe. But unfortunately that’s the world we live in and I think it would be very smart for more women to learn how to shoot guns and defend themselves.

Lol, I’m first told that I’m full of shit, then told that what I believe doesn’t matter. Gotta love PPD. First off, I’m still confused as to what standards you’re referring to that are supposedly bullshit. Also, I specifically said in my comment that I don’t think it’s a bad thing that men hold women to different standards. It’s just not really what I’m looking for personally. For example, I would rather continue working full-time, just like I would prefer my future husband to continue working f…

You’re right, some things you just can’t go 50/50 on. Pregnancy and childbirth is the biggest example, plus men are naturally stronger than most women and there’s not much you can do about that, even for women who lift. But I do think that with most other things, there should be some form of compromise. I’m not sure which memes you are talking about, but my belief is that both men and women should be drafted or no one should.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/21 08:27 PM
5

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I wouldn’t expect anything of my partner that I wouldn’t do myself. The issue is that many men don’t see the value in egalitarian relationships, at least not in the same sense. Or, they expect different things from what they themselves can provide. I don’t think that’s necessarily bad or unfair, just different from what I would define as “egalitarian.”
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/21 06:06 PM
2

True, but I think there’s a difference between “I can pay my own bills and not let guys treat me like dirt” and “I’m a boss-ass bitch who don’t need no man.” I definitely try to avoid coming across as the latter, since to an extent I do like to be courted and have the man plan out dates and take the lead oftentimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 08:08 PM
1

Thanks for the concern, but the goal of RPW is not to attract a redpill man. In fact, that’s exactly the type of men I try to avoid by knowing how to not get plated and using the tactics they use on women back at them. And I’m not sure which other posts you are talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 08:04 PM
5

Because every woman I’ve known that has been in a healthy, happy relationship doesn’t even consider other options. If they are keeping other men around “just in case” then they’re not really interested in their current man.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 05:48 PM
0

It’s not that women don’t have more options, it’s just that we don’t always want other options. If a woman is still keeping around a few men on the side in case her current relationship doesn’t work out, she’s just a shitty person who doesn’t actually love her man.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 05:22 PM
2

I identify as RPW, so I agree with quite a bit. The main things I agree with is that relationships are conditional and both people need to consistently put in work, keeping up attraction in a relationship is most important, women are too conditioned to believe that nothing they do could ever be wrong and they shouldn’t take any accountability for failed relationships or getting treated like shit, and we are oftentimes too self-centered and don’t try to become self-aware enough to try to improve …

I keep hearing about the Discord but not sure if it’s a good idea to join. Is it worth?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 04:23 PM
1

Yes, I am a RPW. There’s no specific RP rule for dating - FDS has the rule that the man pay for the first date, not RPW. I’m still fairly new to the subreddit but the main goal of RPW is to gain and/or maintain commitment from men, which includes being feminine, taking care of yourself, and continuously doing things for your BF/husband. Basically it’s the FDS definition of a “pick-me.”
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 03:51 PM
8

I would always offer to split the bill and pay our own way, regardless of whether I wanted a second date or not. If he offers to pay and genuinely wants to, I allow him to and thank him, but then I would like to pay the next time if possible. I don’t push it because I don’t want to come across as the “strong independent woman” type.

Oh yeah, I completely understand that. My dad was like that too in the sense that he never took my problems or emotions seriously, but he was super strict about rules and stuff. I definitely learned to suffer in silence because of him lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 02:37 AM

Yeah, the helicopter parenting only made me want to get into danger more, but my dad was also sort of abusive so I was too scared of what he might do if I got caught. So when I have kids I’ll give them guidance and a set of guidelines, but for the most part I want to be fairly hands-off as I think that’s the best way to let them explore without acting out.

My father taught me that. It definitely caused me to be a bit sheltered and always assume the worst about people. My dad had very strict rules about me going places, etc. I got pretty bad anxiety whenever I had to go somewhere by myself or where I would be around a lot of people. He was always watching and reading about serial killers and rapists and was super paranoid about it and would sometimes spring some outrageous warning about them out of nowhere. But on the good side it definitely kept m…

Heh. I was taught the opposite. Never trust anyone, everyone’s gonna screw you over and there’s no such thing as a “friend”. As I grew up I realized that mindset is a bit too cynical. There’s a balance that needs to be maintained between cautious and optimistic.

My BF and I disagree on a lot of political issues. For the most part it’s a non-issue but we have had a few fights about it since some of his stances have become a bit more conservative since we first got together, and I’m fairly moderate but left-leaning. Criticism != encouragement. Calling someone a fatass doesn’t encourage anyone to improve themselves, it only sinks them further into their misery. Fat people have to want to change to improve. Helping someone when they’re ready to make a change is different from making fun of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/21 11:15 PM

Agreed. When I was single and got asked out, it was either “come over go my place” or “let’s hang out at x.” I was never truly asked out on a date, at least not in those words. Men no longer want to explicitly make their intentions known.

Why does the better SMV person “deserve” anything? If they have such a holier than thou attitude then maybe the ugly one is not the entitled one after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 03:04 AM
1

Then I would question your ability to be in a healthy relationship with someone who makes you feel like shit. But the fat or ugly person who didn’t see a problem before doesn’t all of a sudden see it once they get into a relationship. It was either already a problem before or it never will be.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 02:58 AM

They didn’t have to date them in the first place. And yet they did. Maybe the lower SMV partner doesn’t even realize that they are the more unattractive partner to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 02:50 AM
2

If the higher SMV person is so much better, why wouldn’t they date someone within their own league? I’d say they’re a shitty person for only dating somebody for a lack of options. And it’s both parties that need to make each other feel wanted, that’s the whole point of a relationship. From your explanation it sounds like the higher SMV person is actually the entitled one.

I’m 21.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 02:04 AM

That seems like a miserable way to live. Why would you even stay in a relationship with someone who makes you feel like that? It’s the SO’s duty to make their partner feel wanted, because they chose that person over anyone else.

This is something I’m currently struggling with as a zoomer. I never wanted to go the “traditional” route with a white picket fence and 2.3 kids. I attribute that to not having any true role models growing up that could show me the positives of that lifestyle. I figured I would be fine spending my life working remotely, traveling the world and never having that “stability” everyone talks about. I would assume because women are more encouraged do get their education and establish themselves in their careers first. And they are also more likely to carry most of the burdens of childrearing and domestic life once they are married and have children. Plus with modern medicine, women are able to have healthy pregnancies later and later.

I would recommend getting a job after you graduate and receiving your own source of income first. Men can and should be criticized, I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of quarantining TRP and not FDS. Calling men “scrotes” and making fun of low-earning men are just some examples of the misandry I’ve seen on there, but in no way am I invalidating its entire message. No. Reddit obviously has the right to do so but just because the company doesn't agree with them doesn't mean they should censor them. So women shouldn’t try to look their best for their husbands after they’re married? And for initial attraction, if you fancy a good-looking man, you better match up to his high standards if you want a chance with him over other girls.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 04:27 AM

By that logic, you’re saying that because fat women are attractive to some people, they should have no reason to feel unattractive and become healthy because people still find them attractive. So then why isn’t a SAHM considered lazy but the men are if they do an equal amount of work?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 05:04 PM

It tells me that they would sleep with just about anyone willing which implies low standards and comes across as caveman-like, and the other reason is that they don’t value sex in the same way I do. Couples with extreme fluctuations in n-counts have a hard time working out because usually your values in the bedroom reflect your life values.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 04:12 PM

Promiscuous people usually end up with other promiscuous people. Just like virgins usually end up with other virgins. Your sexual history is a big indicator of your values and belief systems so naturally people with the same values end up together.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 04:03 PM

Or because those men were very promiscuous themselves and aren’t hypocrites.

I don’t care much about a guy’s number but if he has ever cheated, gotten an STD, has only had sex in hookups and has little relationship experience, those would all be red flags. And the number would have to be proportionate to their age and how many relationships they’ve had. If a guy has slept with 50 women and he’s only in his 20s I would think he is kinda gross, for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 11:07 AM
2

That’s a pretty extreme circumstance and I don’t think most women would meet that criteria anyway. I do think it’s extreme though when guys cancel a girl out for having casual sex once, for example.

What do you consider to be objectionable in her past that would deem her uncuffable?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 03:16 AM

Probably. Like I said, as long as you're not straight up raping anybody, you're not in the wrong for wanting sex from your partner. I usually try to get myself in the mood anyway when my BF wants sex, although I initiate more than he does.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 01:37 AM

I only think either scenario is abuse when it's not consensual or agreed upon.

I don’t know what else to tell you, that’s the only answer I can think of. If I had to come up with something at least a little rational from my female brain, it could create a power imbalance if the man expects too much from his wife and loses respect for her, he becomes physically abusive and can easily overpower her. And there’s also the expectation that a man is supposed to provide for his family, even if it means the wife gets to sit back and put her feet up in the meantime, so women have t…

You’re allowed to expect sex from your partner, that’s what most people in relationships do at varying frequencies. But “demanding sex whenever I want it” implies that you need to have it at any given time even if she doesn’t want to (general use of “you” here). Some people think there’s no difference, that repeatedly saying no and just going along with it when they don’t stop to just get it over with is just what happens in relationships, when in reality that is rape. And if she never wants to …

I grew up in a single parent household on benefits, parents never went to college or had a steady job. Our paths only crossed because we went to the same college that I was able to attend through generous scholarships and student loans. Thanks to the advent of programs like those, colleges are full of couples from all sorts of different backgrounds that …

why do we do that? I didn’t realize that was a thing, I didn’t realize anyone thinks it’s okay to demand sex from anyone no matter what. You can hope and try to turn your partner on but there’s no guarantee they will reciprocate. I didn’t say wanting sex on demand is rape, but it is when she doesn’t want to and you force sex out of her. That is what rape means.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 08:56 PM
1

Masculine expectations of femininity are considered abusive? I don’t think expecting him to pay every time is abuse but definitely not fair to the man. And expecting sex on demand can turn into rape if she doesn’t comply, so that’s a no brainer.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 07:32 PM
1

You asked when masculinity becomes abusive, but I don’t quite understand the second part of your question.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 06:27 PM
1

It's abusive when he treats his wife like an inanimate object who's only jobs are to clean, cook, and fuck him on demand. It's a partnership. A submissive woman, in my opinion, is agreeable, does things when asked (within reason), and is eager to please her partner. She should do certain things when asked, but she shouldn't be demanded to do so. It's a dynamic that has to be mutually favored or it's not sustainable long-term.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 05:25 PM

So what exactly do you want to be egalitarian? Egalitarian as in, I want to continue to work full-time along with my other duties as mother and wife, while splitting up the housework and childrearing as much as possible. Obviously as the woman I would most likely do the majority of it anyway, but I don't want to do everything. If I’m also working full time, my husband can pitch in. He gets all the burdens of his traditional role, and has to do half your shit as well. Half my shit, being what exa…

There is no hypocrisy around it. One person does one thing, the other person does the other thing Yes, but when you claim that a man is "too hardworking" to be a househusband, you're implying that women who stay at home are not hardworking (general use of "you here). You wanna talk about hypocrisy, well women keep complaining about men on average not working as many hours inside the home, but when you add up inside and outside it's equal because men work more hours outside the home The only comp…

Extroversion (9) Emotional Stability (22) Agreeableness (71) Conscientiousness (84) Intellect/Imagination (76) I’ve always been an introvert and I hate it. I really wish I could just talk to strangers and start conversations with ease but I find it very difficult. Apparently my emotional stability could be better, didn’t even realize this was an issue. I do get down on myself and get irritated quite a bit, trying to work on that though. The rest make a lot of sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 04:15 PM

The issue I see here is that the woman in the relationship could be just as “hardworking” as her husband and she would still be the one expected to stay at home because her husband is too “hardworking” to do that. I do agree with traditional gender roles to an extent but there just shouldn’t be any hypocrisy around it.

They should wait til they're in a healthy relationship if they want to feel "overpowered." A man that won't take no for an answer is not someone you want to say yes to anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 03:24 PM

That's fair, some women are too "empowered" these days to even listen to what their own partner has to say. Although I do think there's a fine line between letting the man take the lead and doing what is asked of you versus being disrespected or abused, and it's important for women to know the difference.

If people go around calling people alphas and betas, they have some mental problems. But most people are a mix of both. Alpha and beta are not a singular person, but behaviors that each person has. For example, you can be a hot athlete (alpha) but also like to work on computers (beta). Neither are better or worse than each other, just different. Everyone should have a decent mix of both traits.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 09:58 PM

I think the problem is that people THINK they know what they want, but then they actually date people and don’t enforce their dealbreakers because either: a.) the person has something else they want that they’re willing to overlook it, or b.) they’re afraid of being alone or starting over so they stick with what they already know.

If he's had hookups or casual relationships in the past but never took it to a serious level, that would be a red flag to me. If he's just been unlucky with women or is a "late bloomer" like he says, then maybe it's excusable. I would be cautious but if that's the only red flag you've seen so far then vetting him out a bit more couldn't hurt.

Yeah, I completely understand that. And 65% of marriages ending in death are still pretty good odds, all things considered. And as much as divorce sucks it would definitely beat some of the weird looks or comments I get when I tell people my parents were never married, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/21 03:34 AM

Yeah, my parents did neither of those things and it did more harm than if they had just gotten married. That's why if you want kids but not planning on getting married you should think long and hard to make sure you really can make it work.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/21 03:25 PM

I mean, my parents never married and it resulted in a lot of breaking up and getting back together multiple times, one person moving in and out, etc. Those setups only work imo when the couple has been together for a long time beforehand and the child is planned. Otherwise no.

Women naturally want to find the best mate for their potential offspring, it’s a biological instinct. At times this may prompt them to cheat, or if not cheating then sometimes they will have “orbiters” or branch-swing to other men they feel are more “worthy” in that moment. I really don’t think how you were raised has much to do with cheating, all it takes is for someone to be willing and a lack of self-control. I think in the west, women have less risks to cheat because they usually have jobs a…

Unfortunately, many women who don’t make a lot of money would latch onto you as a “provider” if you decide to make that known early on. So unless you date exclusively within a similar socioeconomic class, you’re gonna end up going on a lot of dates with gold diggers if you don’t keep it to some form of secrecy, imo.

Being desirable doesn’t make him high-value though. A lot of those guys are shitbags. As long as a woman has vetted him properly and there’s no red flags then there should be no reason she shouldn’t trust him. One of the main reasons a girl gets cheated on is because she doesn’t vet guys properly (or at all) and chooses to ignore red flags. The men I consider to be “high value” wouldn’t cheat.

If they had been dating me for months and are still on dating apps I would 100% end it. I don't think it's cheating but it does show that they aren't interested in me as a long-term partner since they're still keeping their options open. But the first mistake is dating somebody for months without even talking about exclusivity. I wouldn't want to go on more than a few dates with someone who's sleeping with or still considering being with other people at that point.

This question has been asked here several times recently, but I'll say it again. My BF is in his early 20s and starting to bald and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. A little receding hairline didn't hurt anybody.

100%. People on OLD are much pickier than in real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 09:21 PM

It depends on the person. Some people have a very low bar for what "attractive" means. For others, they only think people with a six pack or a fat ass are relationship material.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 09:16 PM

It's definitely possible, but in my experience so many men are afraid to cold approach or even just have a conversation with a stranger near them. It's understandable but I think the majority of people in general don't know how to form connections outside of the Internet.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 08:48 PM

Yeah, it does unfortunately suck for men who are unattractive. I do think though that people on OLD are much more picky than in real life due to the abundance of options. I think those men would have much better luck by meeting people organically or at bars and clubs.

I never said it hurts when it's too big. It definitely does hurt when my BF hits my cervix in missionary, and he's not "big" either. Like I said, position matters more than size.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 08:31 PM
1

I can't speak for those women, but I've never really been able to tell a difference between different sizes honestly. What always mattered more to me was the position, sometimes it feels better in certain positions where I can feel it deeper and hits the right places, which might help with a less-endowed individual.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 07:48 PM

Like I said, you must meet the looks threshold first of all. Using my example, Person A is still attractive. Person B might be more so, but their personality makes them insufferable, or there is just no compatibility. That's when personality matters.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 07:39 PM
1

Even small cocks are more than enough to fit in an entire person's mouth when hard. It's definitely not enjoyable trying to fit a long, girthy dick in your mouth, no matter what porn makes it seem like.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 07:36 PM
-1

No shit. There's a looks threshold that must be met first and foremost. However, after that threshold is met, personality far exceeds looks. For example, Person A is just above the looks threshold, and they're funny, charismatic, loyal and compassionate. Person B is far above that threshold, but they're narcissistic, a player, and generally not nice. 90% of people would form a relationship with Person A over Person B.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 07:07 PM

Can confirm. I was raised by a single father for the most part and it took me much longer than my peers to learn how to be feminine. You think ugly women or socially inept ones don’t need to do anything to get laid? No matter what they are in competition with the more extroverted and attractive ones. They also need to put themselves in situations where men would want to approach them if they don’t use dating apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 09:20 PM
2

I see people talk about race all the time on here, what’s so “forbidden” about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 08:58 PM
2

I have no idea what the “forbidden topic” is on here. have to be a dancing monkey to convince that woman to sleep with them Wow, people actually have to put in work to get laid. Who would’ve thought that?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 08:35 PM
1

I would say 6’0 and above.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 08:02 PM
1

Out of curiosity, what does a 7.5/10 man look like where you think women aren’t sleeping with someone who’s, say, a 6?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 07:58 PM
7

There’s no wall to hit when you’re already ugly to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 07:53 PM
4

How I feel on PPD when I make a perfectly logical argument backed with stats and data and then I don’t get a response.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 07:39 PM
3

Aren’t more people in general also more financially stable in general? Who’s to say that people seeking financial stability won’t get an education/change jobs themselves? Or split the costs 50/50 with their partner instead of relying on them?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 07:18 PM
3

I would personally rate them as: attractiveness, financial stability, then education level
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 06:23 PM
1

What do you want a guy to bring to the table for a long term relationship and possibly a life commitment? I don't think about this too much honestly, so this is just off the top of my head: similar values on life and people: no bigotry or prejudice, fairly left-leaning politically wants to travel the world and see/try new things whenever they can flexible and adaptable to new situations, is open to moving to different places, etc. is financially stable enough to pay his own bills, and occasional…

Some people just want to be told by their significant other that they’re good looking and want to be lusted over.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 02:06 PM

Same here. It seems like it’s just accepted that when a couple gets married they will divorce. I know several couples that are still happily together after decades, but it’s still a risk no matter how happy you are or how much you plan.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 03:07 AM
2

No.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/21 03:04 AM
4

Yeah, I definitely try to be although that can be difficult on PPD. And of course, I'm easily a 9 and can fuck any man I want but instead I'm saving myself for a man that I don't know exists yet and become his submissive tradwife. (jk)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 11:37 PM
3

What gives you that impression?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 11:21 PM
4

So in other words, no benefits.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 10:27 PM
5

I was talking about benefits of marriage, not divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 10:24 PM
3

Yeah, my parents never married so I don't see much of a reason in doing it myself. And that's interesting, I never thought about the professional benefits of it. Do you mind sharing what industry you work in where your martial status matters?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 09:54 PM
2

Are there any women here who don't want to get married? I'm on the fence about it but don't really see many benefits besides the social stigma.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 08:51 PM
1

Yeah, that’s even worse. Incels just need someone else to blame besides themselves so badly.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 08:38 PM
2

These guys will take one article from 2009 on a single dating website and thinks this shit applies to the entire rest of the world. It's laughable.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 08:21 PM
16

It's funny when you realize the women you're describing are actually in the minority, since only 32% of women are single under 30 and that goes down to about 19% after 30. Men are actually the ones getting married later (most over 30) so which group are actually the ones not wanting to settle down?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 08:15 PM
27

Women who don't marry will always be second class women in the FSM. It's better in the FSM to be a divorced woman than a never married woman. Maybe this is just a personal thing but I'd rather be a never married woman than a divorced one. Divorce to me, especially when young, implies baggage. Plus, divorce is messy. Who wants to marry and divorce someone they don't love just to get validation from their shallow peers?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 08:00 PM
12

I've seen studies showing women are happier being single than men are. And men are about twice as likely to marry a second or third time as opposed to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 07:57 PM
5

Have you ever been in a serious, loving relationship? Speaking from the perspective of someone currently in a LTR, when you love someone enough you want to tell them those things because you know it makes them feel good. Being in love shifts your perspective for that person.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 07:34 PM
3

Look into the love languages, for some people words of affirmation matters more than others. If you constantly need reassurance to feel validated though then yes it can become unhealthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 07:26 PM
2

You see, I agree with what the rtf24 is saying, but I don’t necessarily thinks that makes me submissive. I just think it’s basic respect to allow your partner to do what they want without making a big deal out of it as long as it doesn’t affect you personally. But at the same time, I wouldn’t want a man telling me what to do or not to do either. So it goes both ways for me I guess.

Redpill men, have you ever met a woman in real life who knew of TRP? How did this affect her behavior? Women, how does your knowledge of TRP affect your interactions with men?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 07:10 AM

The OP said she came over as a friend. That usually means they were friends. Believe it or not, not every friend wants to have sex with each other.

I’m not sure what you mean by “pussy beta” but most men don’t scare me unless they threaten me or act suspiciously. It’s more about demeanor than what a guy looks like. Even most skinny, lethargic guys could easily overpower me if they wanted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 01:35 AM
2

Wow, huge red flags. Yeah, I don’t get hit on a lot, but when I do, luckily no physical touch is ever involved, although a stranger has called me “babe” before to get my number, which is just cringey and disrespectful.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 01:23 AM
7

Can I ask how they tried to hit on you? It would be nice to be able to look out for these type of men and filter them out early.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 01:16 AM
2

Why is this weird? Assuming you two didn't just meet, this is very typical among friends of the opposite gender. Believe it or not, there are women that don't assume every man will try to rape them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/21 12:16 AM
5

Why are more people single? That 80/20. Not enough viable men to satisfy women’s hypergamy. Why do you assume this is the big reason? In general, the differences in single men and women is only slight and varies significantly with age: half of men under 30 are single, but that percentage goes down to 27% after they hit 30. There are less single young women than young men, but that number increases with age, while it's the opposite for men, since men marry later than women. Also, only half of sin…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/21 11:33 PM

The vast majority of people are still having children though. Just because more people might be single now, that doesn't mean they will be forever. Some of those "single" people also might be divorced with children.

Men "respect boundaries" and then get rejected because "well you never made a move" and "you weren't assertive enough" I'm talking about the men that hear one thing and do another -- like when a woman says she wants to stop and not go further and he keeps going anyway. Not some stupid high school games because people don't know how to communicate properly. Men notice vulnerability and that a woman is being "open", and communicates; and then we get rejected because we're feminine, unmasculine pus…

I don't think every woman has "trauma," but more so fear mongering and expectations of how women are treated in society (by parents and media, mainly). That being said, most women have experienced some sort of harassment (i.e. catcalling) at best and sexual assault at worst. That's a huge spectrum obviously, but these scenarios affect people in different ways, so the main ways I think "understanding" looks like are: respecting boundaries and not getting upset or angry when those boundaries "inco…

Is MRA not concerned with false rape accusations and legal rights for men in the court of law? I can be concerned about that while also believing women are more likely to get raped or sexually harassed, or are disadvantaged in certain fields. You can acknowledge that there are advantages and disadvantages of being a certain gender without being misogynistic or misandrist. I just commented on that post. My BF is in his early 20s with a receding hairline. He’s average height (5’9) and I don’t think he has an average face, but I’m biased. Yuck. I'm 21 and I can't imagine being in a serious relationship with someone over 25 currently. 25% of women dating older men is hardly "evidence" of them being any more attracted to older men than men their age. Isn't that a big thing on this sub, that older men have some weird infatuation for younger women? What makes you think that older men aren't more likely to pursue younger women than ones their age? When it comes down to it, I think the "wanting to date an older man" thing is more of a …

That doesn't answer my entire question.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/21 02:42 PM

This really puts things into perspective for me. I do agree that it's probably a defense mechanism, although I can recognize some of the truth in it also. And I completely agree that although women may have their preferences, they don't have to give in to those notions and instead embrace what they already have. I think that's what it comes down to, and when men scream AWALT they are talking about the worst of these women that choose to give in to to their "nature," I suppose.

What do you mean by sacrificing her privileges? Like dropping her entire career to become a housewife?

By chaste do you mean a woman who saves herself for marriage? The rest of these qualities seem reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/21 01:43 PM

Thanks, this really breaks it down. Do people that believe in AWALT believe all of these things are true of women or is it more nuanced than that?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/21 01:32 PM

What types of things would a woman say that prove to you she is any of those 3 things?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/21 01:29 PM

So the ideal woman you describe is all it takes for a redpiller to LTR? Does he still believe that AWALT applies to her?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/21 04:29 AM

I've heard it used to describe shit tests, alpha widowing, CC, etc. I've seen every redpiller use it in a different context so I don't actually know if there's specific behaviors it's attributed to. By unicorn, I mean someone who defies all the traits that the redpill sees women as.

Are you saying that people in relationships can’t enjoy spending time with each other?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/21 06:21 PM

I think a lot of times they didn't have much of a choice, it was either marry a less than ideal but stable man or be shunned by society for the rest of your life. It used to be looked down upon to be an unmarried woman past 25.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/21 06:07 PM

Because they don't like being alone. And the failure to find a partner cannot be reconciled with the future they planned for themselves. That's sad, I hope those people find happiness, whether that's with a partner or alone. This is actually a pretty low bar. Maybe so, but that's a common theme I see on this sub that people settle for someone hot or rich, but their personalities don't align. I just think people in relationships should enjoy spending time together.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/21 06:04 PM

They're even nicer when you go with someone you enjoy being with.

You don't need a life partner to have sex unless you're religious. I want to find someone with similar interests and ideas. I don't want to be in an echo chamber but I would like someone to travel, some outdoorsy stuff, play video games, and just spend time with and enjoy it. I don't think anyone should be with someone they only want to have sex with. That gets old quick.

No idea, you're asking the wrong person these questions as I personally don't care about that stuff, nor have I ever seen stats about it. I do think there is a lot of hypocrisy around feminism, but I can say the same about men's rights activists. virtually all single women with “jobs” scraping by and bitching about how they can’t make ends meet? Not sure where you get “virtually all” from, but those women just make poor decisions. I said they can get it from places besides men, not that they all want to, which is pathetic. men getting sex and women getting safety and security are still the primary reasons men and women marry I don’t think there’s much reason people have to marry either, but I thought the main reasons today were to have c…

The thing is that this freedom gave women the CHOICE to get married and have kids. Marriage was the only way a woman could increase in status and kids inevitably came as birth control didn't always exist. Now (for the most part), women choose to do these things because they WANT to. For example, I don't think I'll ever have kids. However, I would still like to find an egalitarian life-long relationship because that's something I value. I chose that decision.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/21 02:42 PM

What's the point I see a lot on this sub of "settling" for someone you're not attracted to or find boring? Isn't the whole point of finding a life partner someone you can actually stand to be around for decades and enjoy doing things with? So what if he has a generous 401k if neither of you enjoy the same things? Who cares if she's hot if you can't have a single intelligent conversation with her?

Women can get safety and security from other places besides men, just like men can get sexual satisfaction from places besides women. (Unless you're talking about the validation/intimacy of sex, then yeah, you kinda need another person for that) Without it, men become less human. They lose their basic masculinity, and with it, their humanity. Do women also lose their humanity without sex? when marriage vows are exchanged - she promises to fuck him. I was talking from my own perspective, I honestly have no idea where other women place money in the dating hierarchy. I'm in college so all the men I know are broke anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/21 06:36 PM
2

Yeah, not sure how many women actually think that their partner must make more money than them, I know married couples where the woman makes more. But there’s a difference between making $100k and your partner making $30k, and making $100k while your partner makes $75k. I don’t think having a minimum threshold is horrible but expecting a man to make $100k+ is ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/21 06:34 PM
2

I agreed with your first paragraph, then I had to take back my upvote after reading the second. You assume there's no middle ground between the $30-50k range you listed and making 6 figures. What if I'm a young person just getting started in my career making $40k but with the future potential to make over $100k? Or if a man makes a steady income and can pay for his own bills and the occasional gift but can't exactly afford the ideal suburban lifestyle, that wouldn't bother most women as long as …

Single mothers have to have bastard children? Are single mothers also not divorced mothers?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/21 04:44 PM

No, you’re right. My comment was directed at the “low IQ enough to walk in alleys at 3 am,” but believe me, it’s not fun to walk down a busy street without someone honking or calling out something to me, or getting harassed by drunk men at the bus stop. Dudes like this will never get it because he thinks everyone else is so much more privileged than him because he’s from a third world country, yet he’s complaining about how good women have it on PPD. It’s ironic.

Can you give an example of society penalizing men? I’m just not sure what you mean by that. But to an extent, I agree and that’s why I said men are expected to look better naturally while women have more accessible tools to help them.

Women are expected to care more about their looks than men to the point where many of them become infatuated with trying to look “perfect” at all times. But the truth of the matter is, many of these women are insecure. I don’t necessarily thing plastic surgery is a bad thing, especially if it makes you feel more confident, but I also don’t think it’s good to encourage women to glamorize people that withhold these standards while having nothing to contribute to society (the Kardashians come most …

Not sure what you’re referring to, but aggressive behavior and emotions are not normal and is a sign of deeper issues that the man needs to address. If people around them are punishing them for having normal and healthy emotions, they should question the people they have in their life.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/21 09:12 PM

Yes, I think so. No one is punishing them for feeling things. And being a single man is more socially acceptable than being a single woman.

What if you know nothing about the man when you meet him? Tbf they met online and didn’t know any of his friends for the first year or so they were together. He also kept her sheltered whenever they were together, so that might be why.

Sometimes they are simply young and inexperienced. My friend recently got out of a 4-year abusive relationship. It was her first relationship and so she didn't notice the red flags in the beginning like him saying 'I love you' way too soon, being very selfish in bed (she was a virgin), etc. She knows the warning signs now and wouldn't tolerate that again. Men are always nice in the beginning and sometimes you don't start to see those things until something hits you, even if it seems blatantly ob…

The feminist theory I have read all say exactly what I just said. The comment I responded to said that feminism implies women are second-class citizens, to which I responded that feminism is still necessary because rights are easier to be taken away than earned. What feminist theory that you read says that women are inferior to men in the west in the 21st century?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/21 08:13 PM

I don't read feminist theory. However, I will say that women will always be biologically disadvantaged and there's no way to get around that part, and I think that's where the idea of the "patriarchy" comes from.

I even personally know women who are complete and total failures that have success in life just because they are women. What makes them successful? Even single mothers get tons of things that her equal male counterpart does not get. Heck men should cannot afford kids are sent to prison or lose the kids I was raised by a single father (and yes, my mother is alive and in my life). We were very poor growing up, but luckily my dad has SSI which gave him extra money for having a child. In my case, th…

Movements change over time. That's why there's been different waves of feminism, similar to how civil rights movements change their objective as time and society evolves. A lot of people conflate the idea of double standards and working to get rid of those and think that means women are oppressed because of that. In reality, women in the west are almost on par with men at this time in history -- although we can still do much better (on all sides of the gender spectrum). Men's rights activists ar…

What part of the "culture" is telling you that? Do women not need to have something of value also? I don't know a single woman that has achieved much with her life that doesn't have something, like you said. In fact, oftentimes they become the "dreaded single mom" that society looks down upon. How is that any different?

Well, I think that two emotionally, mentally and financially stable parents is the most ideal situation for childrearing -- but whose to say that a gay couple can't raise healthy children? Or that two people that love each other and have a healthy relationship but aren't married can't? The only thing standing in the way of that is the social stigma, but that's starting to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/21 08:42 PM

It's not that women didn't want marriage and children necessarily -- they simply wanted to remove the REQUIREMENT. Marriage was the only way a woman could move up in status and children inevitably came as birth control didn't always exist. A parent raising a child they didn't want in the first place only hurts everyone involved, child included. But actually children require two parents. I don't know what that has to do with anything I said.

Most conversations I have with other women, or listening to others talk, always agree that a prenup should always be signed and acknowledge the high divorce rate in the same sentence. The only double standard I've seen of this is a woman from The Talk telling the others that you should always sign a prenup even though her and her husband didn't sign one, and they divorced a littl…

Men opt out as the modern female is nothing a man wants to have and the risks of commiting or even parenting a child are unforeseeable. So feminism declines marriage and birth rate. While it's true that feminism decreases the marriage/birth rate, why do you think men are the only ones not wanting to get married and have a family? It's declining because it's no longer a requirement for women to get married or have children as women enter the workforce and have more autonomy over their bodies.

I've never seen it used in a negative context before, it's just a way of getting to know people before you date them, or even during, to determine if they're a match. But some people think it's not always necessary, or don't do a very good job of it which is sad.

I would assume you’re talking to a woman for at least a few days over text or call before meeting up, that’s a good way to get to get to vet people and get to know their interests that way. And yeah, if it’s your first time meeting best to stay in a public place.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/21 06:39 PM
26

This so much. If you feel like you’re putting too much work into dating someone in the beginning then you’re probably not compatible. The work you’re doing you should actually want to do and not feel obligated to do so. And if the woman likes you back, she will also put in the same amount of effort.

The issue with men wanting virgins is they expect it to be similar to pornstar sex when the truth is it will take dozens of tries before she even starts to become confident in her sexuality and you have to have the patience for that. As a woman, losing your virginity is painful and not enjoyable.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/21 04:20 PM

If a man is over 22 and still a virgin, I would assume that either he's religious, has some sort of social deterrent, is ugly and has no personality to make up for it, or he's never been in a long-term relationship. All of those are things that would probably be a dealbreaker for me. Virginity itself isn't unattractive, but many of the reasons behind it are and it usually implies that we would be incompatible. On the flipside, I think a man who has slept with more than 10-15 people is a bit ques…

Only insecure women that want hyper-masculine men lose attraction for men that get emotional every now and then. I'm not saying we want someone who whines and complains all the time, but men shouldn't tolerate that behavior either from women. But my BF has cried a few times to me when he was overwhelmed and all I did was empathize and comfort him as best as I could, and then we never gave it a second thought after that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 08:09 PM

I only think it's unreasonable when they get angry or downright demand that their partner have sex with them at the exact moment they want them to. Like I said if this is happening regularly where your partner just doesn't want to have sex nearly as much as you do, you aren't sexually compatible and you should just end it. The answer is to never demand something from the other person, and it's usually pretty easy to tell if someone's just faking it and not enjoying it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 08:04 PM

LMAO Man: AWALT!!! Woman: But I don't feel this way and I know several others that also don't... Man: LIAR! AWALT!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 03:17 PM

Sure and I get that if it’s once in a while, but if you have a high sex drive and want to have sex every single day but your partner maybe only wants to do it once a week, that’s 6 out of 7 days that they’re faking it for you. At some point you just have to realize you’re incompatible and move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 01:43 PM

Serious question, how is sex any better than masturbation?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 01:39 PM
1

Fine, I’ll retract my statement. But why does the woman have to use sex as leverage if she wanted to have sex? Like I said in my comment, both parties indicated they wanted to head toward a relationship. And I’m not talking about people who engage in hook up culture.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 01:38 PM

So tell me how expecting sex with your partner when they’re not in the mood isn’t going down that route.

Fair points. I’ve never had endometriosis so I can’t speak on that experience. I get UTIs about once a year though. And sex was often painful for me for a long time because my old birth control caused vaginal dryness that wasn’t always helped with arousal, so there was a lot of starting-and-stopping mid-sex, lots of foreplay and care needed. I was lucky enough to have a partner that was very understanding and respectful of not intentionally hurting me and willing to stop when I needed to. I’m ju…

you’re twisting his words I didn’t say he was saying those things. I said he was getting dangerously close to to a point where his words could get twisted. Imagine a psychopath reading that and assume it’s okay to rape women because they need sex. If you frame sex as an instinct that turns you into a bloodthirsty animal where your partner must give it to you right then and there and if they don’t they’re shitty people, there’s going to be men and women who will actually think and act that way.

No one is in pain "down there" on a typical day. Some people are in physical pain quite a bit, especially women. Periods, UTIs, endometriosis, etc. all have this effect and are all very common. Relationships, whether this or any other sub wants to admit it, are transactional arrangements. Why are they called needs? Cause if you don't get enough of 'em, you're leaving. Right, and if every typical Tuesday you demand sex from your partner even when they don't want to, they will also eventually leav…

As a woman in college in my early 20s where I know plenty of men around my age, I don't blame older women for not wanting to date them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/21 11:29 PM
13

But that mindset turns into a slippery slop fast. If your partner is in physical pain down there, should they still decide to have sex to please you if it "inconveniences" them? Not to mention if they're not aroused sex itself can be painful. You're also dangerously close to encouraging rape here -- how far would someone go to get sex that their partner doesn't want?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/21 11:11 PM

Agree with all except the last one. No one should be "controlling and demanding" of anyone, period.

Well, consider yourself lucky. You can't settle when you don't want anyone to settle with.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/21 10:59 PM

The idea that one never has to settle or never has to compromise are both female privileges. I thought women also had to settle for BBs when they turned 30 after riding the cc? Because I also think that's pretty pathetic. IMO it's better to be alone than be unhappy with someone you're not attracted to/can't stand to be around. People in general have no concept of self-worth.

I don't think anything *needs* sex. You don't need it like you need water, food, or shelter. Men may *want* sex in general more than women, but women still want to have sex otherwise they wouldn't do it.

That's pretty pathetic. Why are men generally so insecure?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/21 09:05 PM

The part you quoted also contains the word "spouse" which implies marriage, and for my other point, the survey is only given to people who have cheated on a spouse. If you go to the survey it even says: If you have NEVER cheated on a spouse, please skip the survey but view the results here.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/21 07:35 PM
7

You don't even check your own sources. It also says this: Twenty percent of men cheat compared to 13 percent of women, according to the U.S. General Social Survey. The part you quoted is talking about people that are already cheaters and how many cheat multiple times, not people in general.

Why do men have to commit to a woman but a woman doesn’t have to commit to a man? Why do you assume that the woman isn’t also willing to commit? I mean, I wouldn’t ask for commitment before sex, but personally I would want some indication from the other person first that they enjoy my company and would like to see where things go in a romantic context. I think most people would feel used, no matter the gender, if they had been getting to know each other and vetting for a relationship for days or…

/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/21 10:45 PM

You’re also missing the point that people lie about what they want. Maybe she wanted to have sex, but also thought they were headed toward a relationship. He lies to her because he wants sex then leaves. Happens all the time.

How is this a leading question? I based it on my own observations.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 01:26 PM

I think you missed the point of the post. I listed those things as examples of where I’ve seen men-targeted rhetoric in that sphere. I didn’t list anything I’ve actually been doing for self-improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 06:28 AM

So would you say that’s it’s crucial for young women to focus on improvement to avoid long-term consequences (i.e. “hitting 30 and realizing” like you said)?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 06:08 AM
2

I used that example as something I’ve seen men tell other men, because it’s apparently a way to open up conversations and meet new people and can help you to improve a skill. I’ve never seen a woman tell a man to focus on improving himself, it’s usually other men.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 05:56 AM
3

Yeah, that’s fair. I’m in college and while my college friends are in the process of getting their education, it seems like all they care about in this point in their lives is drinking/drug use, partying and sleeping with as many people as possible. I do know one or two women my age who do work, volunteer and have hobbies but it seems rare. Maybe that’s just my demographic though.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 05:50 AM
7

This makes a lot of sense, although isn’t women improving themselves a no-brainer to attract the highest quality men? If they make no effort whatsoever, they still may have options although it may not be options they personally desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 05:43 AM
1

Can you explain what you mean by BS advice?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 05:40 AM
2

Yeah, I’m currently reading a Jordan Peterson book, and I follow people like Andy Frisella because I don’t buy into the “positive affirmations” bullshit I see a lot of in the self-improvement sphere. Maybe that’s why? Most of the women I know in real life don’t care at all about self-improvement and definitely don’t actively seek out media about it — it’s usually the men I see that are reading books, working out, and trying to occupy their time with something useful.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/21 05:36 AM
5

Wait, this is a male-only thing? As a woman I sometimes get this after sex with my boyfriend and a wave of guilt for having sex comes over me. It quickly goes away though. Unresolved issues? Maybe.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 07:34 PM

I didn’t say all of the internet, I was talking specifically about social media and OLD apps. Next time you see a bot on Tinder or a girl with a photoshopped body I hope you don’t think that’s real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 05:25 PM
1

That’s not a good mindset to have when social media makes you feel absolutely miserable about your own life. Every picture taken is deliberately meant to be a “highlight” not to mention photoshop and good angles is all you see on every platform, OLD included. If that’s part of the real world, I want no part of it. No matter people’s self esteems are so low these days.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 05:14 PM

I 100% agree that men and women are no better than each other, but that’s not what I’ve seen from many red pillers. A lot of them on here try to justify their own shitty actions by claiming how much worse women are.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 04:07 PM

I don’t have a citation except for my own experience when I used Tinder. Or a lot of them are something stupid like a vine quote or song lyric.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 03:15 PM

Why not? Most men don’t have anything in their bios on Tinder so their pics is literally all you have to go by.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 05:42 AM

3

Who is telling you you can’t hit on women in bars?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 05:38 AM
4

Because it’s based entirely on looks and you have more options online than in real life. Swipe left and you never have to see them again. People are a lot less picky in person, and if you already know someone as a person it’s a lot more likely to lead to something if the attraction is there.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/21 05:15 AM

My apologies for “trolling” you but it’s just really hard to take you seriously when you think women torturing men is the standard for relationships. Men wouldn’t ever get into relationships if that’s truly how they felt. Women also wouldn’t be able to get remarried post a divorce in their 30s+ if they were so undesirable to men at that age.

As long as it's broad spectrum, SPF 30, and applying even just once a day (as long as you're not constantly in the sun) have absolutely shown to reverse or slow down signs of aging (wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, etc.). Like the other commenter stated, how much you apply matters. If you tan through your sunscreen for example, you didn't use enough. The issue isn't that it doesn't work, the issue is that you have to use it correctly in order for it to work.

30 is a huge stretch. Someone that takes good enough care of themselves after college has the potential to look better at 30 than they did at 20. People that start to decline at 30 are seeing the long-term effects of treating their body like shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/21 06:26 PM

Yes, the wall is real to an extent but it has more to do with lifestyle choices in your 20s. If you start taking care of yourself well enough after college (exercise, diet, skincare, less alcohol, etc.) you have the potential to look better at 30 than you did at 20. Genetics play a role too but lifestyle can at least delay the effects to an extent. People that "settle" did not take care of themselves and now are stuck with the long-term effects of treating your body like shit.

You can't approach in grocery stores, restaurants, gyms, public places of transports, parks and even clubs. Why not? Find a hobby and join a class. Or if you're gonna go the OLD route, Tinder is the worst one you can use.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 04:48 PM
5

So what do you mean by dumb choices?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 03:23 PM
4

So you think that people who genuinely don't want to be parents should just do it anyway?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 03:12 PM
2

I have no issues with SINK, although I think I would desire companionship at some point.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 01:31 PM
5

Different people desire different things in life, and that’s okay! You’re also not guaranteed a lifelong friend if you have kids. I would also probably not be a good parent.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 01:15 PM
3

it doesnt seem to be the right choice if i compare people with 2 kids and childfree couple Those couples don't want children though (I assume), and that's what makes them happy! If you genuinely have a desire to have kids, that doesn't mean you'll be happier without them.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 03:30 AM
2

The ones with kids, yes. That's why you can't always just leave -- and if the relationship starts to fail, it's less likely to stay together for love and attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 03:25 AM
5

Maybe so, but I've heard from many parents that having kids changes the relationship dynamic quite a bit and all of a sudden it becomes all about the kids. DINK couples also don't have to worry about "what's best for the kids" if their marriage goes downhill.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 03:03 AM
3

Why are you doing that “research?” Because I want to? And as someone who doesn't particularly want kids myself but desires an egalitarian relationship, it's something that interests me.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/21 02:38 AM
1

This tells us that dink is likely a product of fiscal survivability and not preference. The thing is though there's not many studies on couples that forego having children, and the ones that do exist (like this one) don't indicate the reasons why. For this one, some couples want them eventually but are delaying it, some are in the maybe camp, and a few are childfree. If you can't afford kids but want them that's one thing -- but I think if you don't have a desire for kids and you're on the same …

Not to mention many of them are forced to quit their jobs since leaving work is often less expensive than paying for childcare for lower-paying jobs.

I think the point OP is trying to make is that low value people fuck and date other low value people. The same is true for the inverse (in most cases).

Women need men. Without men protecting her, a woman wouldn't survive more than a week or two. So do you think that women that try and succeed to be self-sufficient will just end up not surviving? Do you think it's in women's best interest to always depend on a man, even if she doesn't want to? Most women cannot make ends meet on their "jobs" Why is jobs in quotations here? Or, they do what most women do and just eventually get married, then divorce him, take the kids, and half his shit and an in…

This is something that transcends civil society thats why when its brought to light many shame or deny it because it reveals the ugly parts of human and female nature. This I agree with and I feel like it's a big reason why so many people cheat instead of simply communicating with their partners and try to overcome it with them. Being attracted to other people while in a relationship is not a crime and we need to stop treating it as such, and instead learn to control our urges and communicate pr…

Since it's a part of a woman's "hardware," do you believe hypergamy is caused by the evolutionary necessity to find the best of the men to provide for her and her potential offspring? And do you think that humans will evolve past the need for hypergamy? Even though needing a "provider" is somewhat nonexistent today, it seems like we are still experiencing the evolutionary and biological aspects of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 04:12 PM
2

I get #1, but 2 and 3 don't make sense to me. I constantly see men on PPD complain that women wouldn't date someone of a "lesser" class than themselves -- are these the same men that would feel emasculated or insecure? It just seems like they want to have their cake and eat it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 04:05 PM
22

I know it's April Fools, but the sad thing is that this is still pretty accurate.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 02:37 PM
1

Sure, it makes sense -- but if you're looking for a relationship, why would you even have sex before securing monogamy? If your way of vetting people out is by having sex with them to determine if they have sex too soon, you're not practicing what you preach.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 02:30 PM
1

So if a man is good looking, but he also has wealth and resources, what does that make him? Both an alpha and a beta?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 02:21 PM
2

Serious question -- can hypergamous behavior in a relationship be fixed? If a woman is dissatisfied but has good communication with her partner to fix it, can she stop seeking hypergamy in a LTR?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 02:20 PM
2

Men clearly don't seem to have a problem with this though since they continue to "date down". Does this men that men prefer women that make less money than them, as long as they are attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 02:14 PM
2

Do you think that there are any negative consequences of feminism that exist today? If so, what are they, and is there any way for feminism to help fix these issues without undermining the cause? Do you believe that feminism is also in favor of men's rights? In what ways yes or no?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 12:07 AM

give free sex to some men and expect monogamous relationship from others? Why are these mutually exclusive? Should you not expect a monogamous relationship from everyone you decide to sleep with? I sure hope that the guy I'm talking to at any moment has the respect to not be sleeping around with other girls, or at least stop before things get serious.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/21 11:52 PM

My comment was kind of meant to be snarky, but I do think everyone’s individual lives and society as a whole would be better without any dating apps whatsoever. Even if you’re the one one without it, your quality of life will still increase because of it imo.

Women that marry shitbags just for their looks and wealth are NOT healthy OR secure. Sorry, I'll be sure to use "manwhore" next time.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/21 05:55 PM
1

My point was mainly that if they every hope to ever find a relationship, they're not going to be able to score a secure, kind and healthy woman if they're a shitbag. Sluts date and marry either other sluts, or they find some insecure, naive person to manipulate. Happens for both men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/21 05:44 PM

So a "HVM" is only determined by how many sexual partners he has? I hope they're happy with insecure sluts.

All the time, even when the HVM is a shitbag. An error has occurred -- a shitbag cannot be a HVM.

easier said than done Yes, I know and I sympathize with men in this regard. Women definitely shouldn’t assume the man will pay, although in my experience the guy usually offers, which doesn’t help negate that expectation. What also matters is how you present it. If you say “I want to take you out on a date” that strongly implies you are offering to pay. It probably helps to figure out the pay situation beforehand, and if she insists you pay when you don’t want to, then...congrats, you found out …

It's almost like people put themselves in situations they don't want to be in when they could just...not? Like, if you don't want to pay for an entire date then just say that instead of resenting the other person for something you did. And apparently if a woman doesn't want to have sex right away she's not attracted to you, when maybe she's just not comfortable yet or simply doesn't want to. There shouldn't be any "rules" to any of this pill stuff, just live your life and the people that don't a…

Assuming your points are true, why would anyone have less attraction to their LTR rather than a casual sex partner? For casual sex, the bar is very low. You better be happy with the person you’re gonna spend the rest of your life with. Sounds like people just have low standards, which is sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 04:16 PM
2

Lol I’m not entirely sure what point you’re trying to make about someone you’ve never met. At the end of the day, we’re all just trying to do our best to not get played, men and women alike. Relax a little.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 04:10 PM
2

Women don’t want to get played just as much as men don’t. For girls that are vetting for an LTR (not casual relationships/sex), it’s very common to wait a few dates before wanting to have sex and it has nothing to do with sexual attraction. You’re also forgetting that attraction can build over time, especially for women. Personally, I’m more attracted to a guy when I learn more about his interests, how his demeanor is, and whether or not he’s a good person. This doesn’t mean that there was no ph…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 03:58 PM

I really don't understand why it's such a common thing here that you must have sex with every guy on the first date to prove you're attracted to him. And then immediately contradict that by saying high n-count is our own problem to solve.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 03:17 PM
2

100% agree. Have sex on the first date, the guy ghosts you and you're labeled as the girl who had casual sex - something so many guys here seem to care so much about.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 03:11 PM
2

Yeah, I agree. I don't see the reason why a high n-count woman would want a low n-count man, or why a low n-count woman would want a high n-count man (also true for the men). It's bound to cause problems in the relationship either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 05:27 AM
3

So you think that everyone should have a lot of casual sex to get rid of this "inequality"?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 05:25 AM
1

That makes sense. Would you say the same if it was a high n-count man seeking a low n-count woman? (Genuinely curious.)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 12:28 AM
2

"N-count inequality" is not a thing. Most people don't care, or if they do, they usually prefer people within the same count as their own.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 12:05 AM

It's funny that you say that, because wasn't there recently a study on here how men usually lie up about their n-count and women usually lie down? I think that's usually bullshit. But can I ask why you lie about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 11:58 PM
2

If she's only having casual sex with men who have lower N-count, it's good because it's progressive How do you draw that conclusion?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 11:54 PM
4

I can mostly agree with that - but for things like exercise (especially if overweight), a lot of people start it for health reasons, and the attention/validation from others as a result is just a bonus of that. For things like makeup, teeth whitening, or plastic surgery, 100%.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 11:29 PM
1

That makes sense! So if the genders were reversed and you were dating a woman with an n-count of 20 and you had 5, would you be alright with that? (Not trying to "gotcha!" you, just genuinely curious.)
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 11:24 PM
2

You're right, I edited my post. Can you elaborate? Why would you think she's insecure/lame?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 11:08 PM
2

Men, what do you think about women not wanting to date a man with a higher n-count than her own?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 10:46 PM
1

I do think that it should be legal, while at the same time holding protections for them to limit violence, STDs, etc. And definitely a lengthy vetting process such as psychological testing, therapy and drug tests to make sure they're not being forced or have some other issue, and offer help for these women before hiring them.

I would assume that those people were already paying their own bills before they got together and didn’t just move in with them to use their money. And making someone your entire happiness to where you couldn’t be happy without them is just toxic in so many ways. Being happy with someone is one thing and perfectly okay, but they also can’t fix your mental issues either. You should be with someone because you want them and not because you need them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 04:25 PM
1

Well, sure, I think teamwork is absolutely part of the support systems I mentioned. I meant more like having your own finances in order instead of relying on someone else into pay your bills, or relying on one person to make you happy. There’s a fine line between teamwork and toxicity.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/21 04:13 PM

I think it’s important to have basic support systems but developing dependence on people, especially a partner, is never a good idea.

I think everyone should have a support system, like friends, family, pets, a therapist, or whatever. If you don’t have any of these things then it’s gonna be really hard to have the ability to improve yourself and stay motivated. A partner, on the other hand, should be the last priority. I’ve known people that became psychologically dependent on their BF/GF because they weren’t secure on their own, and that was the only person they surrounded themselves with. high value men go for is to marry a woman they meet in professional school (law school, mba etc.) and then both parties agree for her to work less or not at all once it is clear his career is taking off. Gotcha...For some reason I thought that PUA was different, since a lot of redpillers on here claim that they hate pick-up artistry. I thought it was more of a “stop giving a fuck about women” attitude and making yourself more marketable, now I know it’s all just a game. Thanks!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/21 05:07 PM
8

Correct me if I’m wrong, and excuse me if I sound ignorant, but I thought the Red Pill was about putting women second and instead focusing on yourself and improvement? The idea that TRP is “all about women” is not what I’ve heard, and it actually sounds a bit disingenuous if all the work you’re putting in is just to score a woman.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/21 12:22 AM

Insisting to pay to the point where they get aggressive? Nah. Offering to pay on the other hand is a nice gesture, although it's not a requirement for me. I'd rather go dutch on every first date.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 11:48 PM
10

To me it’s a red flag that he’s controlling or thinks that he needs to be a provider. Or he just might expect sex and the woman offering to pay takes away his leverage. The couple times this happened to me I turned out to be right.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 10:59 PM
18

In my experience, the men that insist on paying for a date without protest are the ones to stay away from.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 09:12 PM

This is the only correct answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 09:09 PM

Yeah, that’s fair. I don’t use OLD anymore but when I did, what mattered to me more was a good profile and pictures came second (unless they were straight up hideous). And most of the “top-tier” men I saw on there I never matched with, or if I did, one of us never messaged back lmao. So maybe I just learned to lower my standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 09:04 PM
1

The poster stated it as such, but the actual graph doesn’t explicitly say that, unless I’m just not seeing it. My point is that of that 80%, 50% could be average and the rest could be ugly. And OLD is also not representative of the real world at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 08:34 PM
3

She's not projecting lol. Don't listen to FDS-ers.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 07:52 PM

The "superhero action movies" you speak of are all directed by men. Women are not exactly the ones setting these standards. I've never seen a dude in real life with the body of Chris Hemsworth or any of the other ones that I don't care enough to learn their names. I'm aware that these guys only exist in Hollywood and bodybuilding competitions and I think most other women are also. We won't drop our current man at the drop of a hat just because the veins of another dude's bicep are more visible.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 07:44 PM
1

From the text in that graph, 1/6 are above average. If I'm understanding it correctly, the graph does not say 80% of men are below average. But it's no secret that woman are pickier than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 07:35 PM
2

I get the looks part, but what’s wrong with being focused on career?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 04:51 PM

If 80% of men are below average, that’s a huge variance of average and very attractive men. Where is the line drawn?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 04:48 PM
2

Yeah, I’m relatively new to this sub so that’s probably why. And of course you never see men say opinions like this in real life. I just hope that the men on ppd are outliers because I would like to think that most men are decent people.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/21 04:12 PM

I’m shocked at some of these comments....the amount of men that blame women for these types of encounters is appalling. I get this is ppd but...damn.

Where is your evidence for this "almost always" happening? I've seen and been in plenty of friendships between men and women where no one ever catches feelings. But I'm also in college so that might be an anecdotal thing.

Financial independence is freedom. Sorry you dislike your job, but I feel fulfilled in mine. Raising a kid just isn’t for me. As a woman I would be expected to do most of the work, and I don’t want to ruin my body. I want to travel spontaneously, do hobbies in peace, and retire early so I don’t have to be a “wage slave” til I’m 65+. But different folks different strokes. It’s not our responsibility to procreate just for the sake of retirement benefits. I can put more money into the economy by working enough and saving up my own money to retire with so I don’t have to rely on the government. I can’t do that as easily when I have to leave work to raise children. If you want someone to blame, look to older generations for having so many children that Gen Z-ers will struggle to live as comfortably as their parents and grandparents did.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/21 03:52 AM

Gotcha. I have a marketing degree and very basic graphic design is a part of what I do - and I only want to do it a side hustle to make a little extra money, nothing too serious.

Congrats! Do you have any tips for others who are also trying to FIRE?

I mean, I don't want kids because I am terrified of pregnancy and childbirth, only to stay at home all day and do everything for a helpless infant combined with the loss of freedom and peace for 20+ years. I do want a long-term relationship though.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/21 03:03 AM

I see no issues here.

I'm also trying to get into freelance design work (sorry that you hate it though)! May I ask how you started getting gigs? I'm having trouble getting mine noticed.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/21 02:58 AM

Yeah, I wasn't generalizing with that comment btw, just pointing out something I noticed among certain men. A lot of them want the "effortlessly beautiful" type of girl when that's not always feasible.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/21 01:54 AM
3

If a man doesn't like the way his girl looks without any of this stuff, why is he even with her in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/21 01:50 AM

Dudes will say shit like this then demand a girl to look feminine and pretty as if it requires no effort whatsoever...

I don't know, my idea of "adventure" is going backpacking through Europe, or starting a business, or going skydiving - all things you can do inside a healthy relationship. What do you define as adventure that you wouldn't be able to experience with a partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/21 01:36 AM

Can you not experience adventure within a healthy relationship with someone you love?

How is your flair "simp for low n-count women" when you say women need to fuck men during their youth? Those two things don't align
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/21 11:35 PM

You say they choose partners by tingles, now it’s money? Which one is it? ‘Cause if a woman wants money, 9 times of 10 she’ll earn it herself.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 04:13 AM

You don’t accidentally get married to an abuser. You pick them. So how are women supposed to know that their husband will start abusing them after they get married? And stop white knighting. Don't know what you mean by that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 02:26 AM
5

Dude actually just said women enjoy being raped. You lost all credibility there, if you had any to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 01:44 AM
6

I'm not sure if it will ever be fixed either, but what worked for me was realizing that there are billions others of the opposite sex in the world, all with their own ideas and beliefs, so why let the few that have done you dirty affect your entire worldview on them?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 01:32 AM

For women, it's the hypocrisy. Women want men to stop objectifying them but will then shame men for having a tiny dick, or whatever else. Or they'll claim to be "strong and independent" but will want a man who makes x amount of income when they don't make the same amount. Men should stop feeling insecure about trivial things like their body count, at least if you want a relationship. Most women don't want to date cavemen who have been around way too much. It's not even something that should come…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 12:56 AM

So this hypothetical woman is a whore just because she decided to sleep with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 12:36 AM

How do you usually find women then, if not through dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/21 10:54 PM

In your case, this type of woman wouldn’t want to date a person like you anyway, so no issues there.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/21 10:52 PM

Sure, they do. That doesn’t mean women are going to blurt out how many men they slept with on date one.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/21 10:15 PM

Of course it's the parent's responsibility, but they don't always have the resources to give a child the care that it needs. I read a story about a woman who was convinced by a pro-life group that they would give financial support to the fetus if she didn't abort, so she didn't and they dropped their support as soon as it was too late for her to get an abortion.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/21 09:27 PM

What I would like to know is what are these "pro-life" organizations doing to help these unwanted babies after they're born? Hint: Not a damn thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/21 08:46 PM
3

The issue is that men are screwed no matter the woman's decision. I'm pro-choice all the way, but men should be able to terminate their parental rights without the woman's permission if she willingly goes through with the pregnancy and he does not want to.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/21 08:44 PM

I would personally have to get to know a guy before I can determine that. Maybe that’s just me though.

In general, no because it means I could be easily overpowered. For partners, I prefer it.

Exactly, all these dudes in the replies saying "if she does x, y, and z avoid them at all costs" what are the chances these girls are actually going to tell them these things right away?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 11:14 PM
2

All of these relationship concepts are exclusively for women's benefit. Men gain nothing and the cost is enormous, opportunity or otherwise. Can you explain this?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 11:07 PM
2

Sure, it could lead to a relationship, but going into those situations hoping for one is 9 times out of 10 going to lead to being ghosted or led on. And I'm not gonna take the risk of sleeping with a dude I just met when I can get more "fun" from a guy who is more willing to respect my boundaries and listen to what I like. Now, if you've been talking/dating for a couple weeks and it looks like things might progress, that's different. I'm talking about ONS situations, where you have NO inclinatio…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 09:15 PM
4

If your current priority is fun when it comes to sex, that tells me that you don't value relationships much at this given time in your life, even if you say you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 08:31 PM
4

Many women I know that have casual sex typically don't care about being shamed and are open about guys they've slept with, albeit I live in a liberal college town. I don't care if people have casual sex or not. If that's what you want to do, more power to you. Just don't say that you want a relationship if you're willing to fuck someone just for fun at the same time. No one wants to date someone that plays games. That goes for men also. Fuck "plausible deniability."
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 08:27 PM
1

Why would you have casual sex with someone you don’t want a future with, when you claim to want a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 06:56 PM
1

Basically some reassurance that you like and appreciate the woman and you want to continue seeing her for the foreseeable future. Women are more likely to contract STDs than men, plus the risk of pregnancy. There are also more likely to get hurt in sexual situations (guy is too rough, doesn’t respect boundaries, etc.) What risks is a man taking besides waiting a few weeks of dating a girl to find out she’s bad in bed?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 06:19 PM
16

The problem isn’t the fact that these are different types of women, the problem is that many women claim to want a relationship but will have casual sex a week later anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 05:47 PM
1

I’m fine with men approaching me as long as they are respectful about it, and they don’t do it with some ulterior motive. I’ll be nice to every guy, even the ones I’m not attracted to. I’m currently not single but if I was, I’d much rather get to know a guy as friends first and go to platonic events that could lead to something more if there’s physical attraction involved. My only limit is, don’t try to approach me as friends if you only want to sleep with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 05:40 PM
2

If a woman is holding out for any of the reasons u/Sid_Insidious mentioned, he has every reason to be upset and walk out. Even if you’re not okay with waiting a few weeks, that’s fine - you’re welcome to leave, but that’s something the woman (or man) should be upfront about right away. I don’t advocate for playing games. For most women who specifically want a LTR, it’s expected that some commitment would be necessary, because sex for a woman is a lot riskier than for a man. I don’t see how that’…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 05:25 PM
3

Because then the woman is assured that you don’t see her as just a potential sex partner. And sexual compatibility can be built upon. Obviously not always, but why wouldn’t you try to work on it if you really like the person and want a future with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 03:32 AM
2

Well, my biggest concern with that is that it would be hard to compete with those women sexually and looks-wise and I would constantly be comparing myself to them. If they were average women, it would probably be less of a big deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 03:26 AM
1

Move on from my own post?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 01:37 AM
1

“No harm in that”
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 12:42 AM
6

...Or, what about option g: she wants to wait for some form of commitment so that she’s sure the guy doesn’t want just sex? Seems pretty reasonable to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 12:13 AM
0

Seriously. For some men, it’s under 20 and for others it’s less than 3.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 11:53 PM
2

So you don’t believe that people can change. Got it. We can agree to disagree, no harm in that. No need to downvote all my replies to you for disagreeing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 11:51 PM
2

Okay, fair enough - my point still stands that if it was something that happened years ago, why does it still weigh as much today? Do you not believe that values can change? And that’s not really an “accident”, either. She still intentionally went to a bar and decided to have sex with someone. Unless she was completely blacked out or raped, she knew what she was doing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 11:24 PM
1

I didn’t realize the amount of times she did it mattered to you. ....and how do you have sex on accident?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 11:16 PM
4

I mean, I like to think people are more nuanced than that. People change and mature as they grow up and with that, so do their values. If it was two weeks ago, sure. But if it was years ago, it’s kind of ridiculous to let that be the determining factor.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 11:09 PM
3

I've asked this question in this thread already, but is there no statute of limitations for these kinds of things? Like if I had a hookup with someone in college but don't do that anymore because I want a relationship, would the same logic apply there?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 10:34 PM
1

What do you mean by arousal without sex? Do you mean just being horny? Or like the other person teasing you?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 10:24 PM
4

Really? Why's that? I feel like that's pretty common.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 10:20 PM
-1

What if she had casual sex a couple times in college but regretted it and doesn't do that anymore because she wants a relationship? Also, what number is considered low to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 10:19 PM
1

So would you end it if the sex was bad? Or would you try to work on it with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 10:08 PM
1

Thanks, this is sort of where I am too. I would need some willingness to commit from the other person first.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 10:07 PM
0

Can you explain why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 10:05 PM
7

Exclusively dating that particular woman,. I mean, you're in a relationship at that point basically.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 09:49 PM
3

While I don't think this is true, women place a much higher emotional meaning to sex than men, so naturally they would start to fall for men they are sleeping with more than a man probably would. That's probably why you see women start to fall for men they sleep with while the men in those situations typically only want sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 09:05 PM
5

Honestly I think you dodged a bullet there. Guy sounds like a jerk. He could've just said "Sorry, I don't feel that way about you" and went on with life.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 09:02 PM
2

I always get confused when I see questions about SMV because, who's the one assigning you this seemingly quantitative value? You can be good-looking, sure, but why make it all mathematical when it's really not?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 08:20 PM
4

So your point is, "high SMV men" are incapable of having any LTRs?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 08:17 PM
1

V-shaped torso skin generally with a rosy undertone (vs olive) Roman noses How do you even think of these things enough to have them on your list
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 08:14 PM
1

That's the thing though, the sub tries to be "objective" by making you follow the chart in the sidebar to rate people. If you give a subjective rating you will get banned lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 07:55 PM
2

Is that not a good thing though? People should wait til they have the financial and emotional means necessary to have children. It’s selfish to think otherwise. Some even decide by that point that they never want children, which is okay too.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 04:25 AM
2

If you’re talking about “objective” ratings like the ones over at r/truerateme the standards are very high and anything over a 6 is basically unattainable unless you’re model material. But, I think ratings are usually a lot more subjective than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 04:18 AM
2

I’ve seen guys rate very average women a 6 as an insult, so I feel like male ratings can also very over the place at times. And I wonder what a 7 looks like to you that most women would find them unattractive. I don’t “rate” people, but I feel like a 7 is still on the high side for a woman rating a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 04:14 AM
1

Sorry, that was poor phrasing on my part. I suppose it makes more sense to say that people who are looking for something from the other person should only seek out people who specifically want to provide that person with what they want, which significantly lessens their options. And personally, that wouldn't be a fulfilling relationship to me (on either side) and I would prefer to split up the "value" as much as possible. But thank you for responding. Have a good day also!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/21 11:59 PM
1

I am one of those chicks. And I do! What part of my comment makes you think I don’t believe that? And how am I contradicting myself? By believing that people shouldn’t be in relationships if they think they should be one-sided? Of course that arrangement is sometimes necessary in cases of SAHM/partners that can’t work for whatever reason, but I mean in general cases where the partners are in somewhat equal situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/21 11:42 PM
1

LTRs shouldn't be about what the other has to offer. It should be about what experiences the two of you can have and enjoy together. Some relationships are shallow and one party only cares about what handouts the other has, but give-and-take should be as close to 50/50 as possible. A person worth being in a relationship with wouldn't see it as one-sided.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/21 08:34 PM
1

As a woman who doesn't want kids but values LTRs, I am undecided about getting married. I'm American and don't know how much about how the common law thing works - if you don't want to get married, are LTRs even worth it? In our society it seems like you can't have one without the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/21 08:23 PM
1

It's happened with a few of my guy friends irl. Ones that I don't think are attractive (albeit not ugly). They never tried to get laid because they didn't realize they could, then all of a sudden when they started trying, they were able to pick up a few girls at the bar over a few weeks.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/21 12:08 AM
2

That was mainly my point. Although, many average/slightly below average guys that don't normally get laid because they think they can't, can easily get laid if they actually put themselves out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 11:24 PM
4

Yes, want is the key word. And I think everyone is partially to blame. I'm not against casual sex, but I believe women should stop making it so easy for some guys, and guys need to learn to give some girls the first "no" she's ever heard. I don't think anyone should be sleeping around excessively, period.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 08:57 PM
0

I agree. I'm not against casual sex btw. I just think it becomes really toxic when men let it go to their heads. And a lot of times they sleep with a girl who's way below them just because it's an easy lay, and other girls they may be forming relationships with may suffer. I also value LTRs, so that probably has something to do with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 08:48 PM
5

Because a small number of men are sexually attractive to women, so by that logic if a lot of women want to fuck you then you are a high-value male. Well, sure, a lot of women may want to fuck you, but it's way more attractive to have the self-control to not throw yourself at all these women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 08:39 PM
5

So men should be congratulated because they can score a lay? Nah, it's way more attractive to have the self-control to not sleep with the first woman that throws herself at you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 08:30 PM
8

It ruins men also, but that's a conversation no one wants to have.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 07:38 PM
25

Completely agree. As a woman I don't understand why so many men think they're more worthy because they've slept with a ton of women, and then they call a woman who has a lot of sex a slut in the same breath.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 07:37 PM

I believe education takes many forms. A degree is only one of those forms, and it doesn't guarantee intelligence either. I'll take intelligence and diversity of thought over a degree any day.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 04:57 PM
1

Women want MONEY Yes, and most women would prefer to earn it themselves. Hence why they are more likely to get a college education than men. These same women don't want to date a man who is an idiot, either. They don't have to be Einstein-level smart but they want it to be at least on par with their own.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/21 04:53 PM
1

If wanting specific physical traits is a factor in your decision to have kids, you're having them for the wrong reasons.
