Yeah save any of those photos and assume she deletes her entire account. Find hobbies. Work out. Make friends. You’ll forget all about her.

Stop talking about your divorce to people you’re dating. If you are talking shit about your ex, then you probably shouldn’t be dating right now. Get some damn control of your emotions before venturing off into the world.

You should probably sell the family home so that you aren’t living paycheck to paycheck.

Literally stop talking to her unless the words are necessary. “Coming to pickup” “Coming to dropoff” “Is school still XYZ?” Nothing else! Parent alienation is definitely a thing, and you should tell your lawyer if you have proof of that, and they can write a letter to get your STBXW to sit the fuck down.

Better to get your support establish and go on to have the best earning years of your life. Make more money. Enjoy life more. Taking a shit job so that you don’t have child support, but then you have no money…

It’s weird, if you two are still talking. I was not talking to my ex during our divorce and all communication went through lawyers. They definitely asked for every possible detail about my employment history.

Switch to 50/50. 2/2/5

Tell yourself “I’m not thinking about this” and go to the gym. You will be just fine, I promise. Plenty of time to find a new lady that wants to have more kids. Not drinking is more and more common. Again, just to workout and ignore the dating thoughts until you’re thoroughly divorced.

That’s a lazy solution. If you want 50/50 then show it.

Yes. Make a spreadsheet, every row is an asset. Make columns for each of you, and start putting assets into your columns. Make a running total in bottom to see the total assets vs divided, and who gets what…

If she cannot afford to pay the mortgage after buying you out, then she cannot keep the house. If you cannot afford to pay the mortgage after buying her out when you cannot keep the house. For either of you to go buy a new home you’ll have to be completely off of the title and mortgage for this first home. Otherwise your loan financing will look at all the numbers from this first home. Yes she would have to refinance into a new loan and she would have to qualify for that new loan.

Brother, just move on. Change your name back as soon as you can.

Mine took 13-months and still settled in mediation. Lot of bullshit can happen to make sure mediation goes their way. Obviously it can be much quicker/easier and everything varies by state.

Yes of course. That’s the point of divorce. You’re free to spend time with your child however you like. Then you’re free to spend your own time however you want.

I went to a coding bootcamp at 30 years old with zero prior experience. Now I work remote making $200k/year.

Split the cost proportionally based on income. She made 30 K last year. If you make 300 K in a year. Then she would pay 10% of costs and you would pay 90% of costs. On another note, if she’s not asking for alimony then you should pay whatever she wants in child support and run.

Your problem is that custody could go her way entirely, and you’ll be paying a lot more child support and maintenance than if she had some real income.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
