That says almost nothing as to why sexual selection work the way it works. The takeaway here, is that fundamentally, what most animals are seeking out sexually is not some "ideal" set of genes. But rather, a set of genes that is extremely different from their own. Source? That is not at all what most animals are seeking out. Sure, we usually have inbreeding avoidance mechanisms but we're definitely not just seeking out "a set of genes that is extremely different from our own". I mean, "extremely"? 2	Mammals "use" father's DNA more than mother's One that does not fit with the conceptual model of human existing in a kind of "pyramid" with some genes being better than others. Some organisms (and in this case; human males) have genes that are better at replicating themselves though. Genes that makes their host appear highly fuckable to women (unlike your Steve Bushemi lookalike) could be viewed as being "better" (at least at replicating themselves). tl;dr Sexual selection disagrees, and sexual selection almost act solely on males.	/r/PurplePillDebate	12/05/17 12:21 AM
2	Mammals "use" father's DNA more than mother's There's more genetic variations in males, which might be why there's more geniuses but also more morons in males, than in females for example. In pretty much all mammals females are the selector, males the selectee. It's certainly not unique to mice and definitely presents in humans. I don't think genes expression have to necessarily be stronger in males to make a case for hypergamy though.
