Older childfree women are rarely miserableWell, I'm that age. I never thought about children because I never saw them around. Now my brother has kids and I can see the appeal in them. But I consider it too late for me to consider pursuing that in life now. We live in a very imbalanced world. Our lives our focused on school and work and pursuing goals and hobbies and all these cold activities. We don't see the other side of life. The idea of love and children and tenderness has been mostly foreign to me. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/09/23 09:57 PM
What if I'm authentically not happy being single?Yeah, neither of those is helpful things to say to someone. They think you can just turn being miserable or not on and off. Or that you should just fake being happy to make people like you. I'd rather someone like me even when I'm unhappy. Not sure I'd want to have a relationship with someone who only likes having me around when things are good. Also, I'm personally attracted to darker types. I mean, it really depends on the person. But I'm going to click more with someone whose been miserable i… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/08/23 12:47 AM
What if I'm authentically not happy being single?I'm tired of all the things people say. Tired of the invalidation. I just see something everyone else has experienced that I never did, and I wonder how much it could have filled the void in my life. Maybe it's not the answer for me. But it's not fair for people who at least had the chance to have it to tell me I'm not missing out anything.... At least they got to have the experience. At least now they know what they want in life and know themselves a little better. Even when relationships are h… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/08/23 06:10 PM
What if I'm authentically not happy being single?I'm in my late 30's and have really only flirted with relationships. I had more like mild romantic relationships but never sex. I look back and wonder if I missed out on learning something about myself psychologically and emotionally through having a sexual relationship. Not saying I would have expected to have always had a partner and always had sex but to have had at least some sexual experience. It's kind of like how some people went out more when they were younger, socialized, went to partie… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/08/23 04:17 PM
What if I'm authentically not happy being single? All I can say is "whoah!" Nowadays everyone is preaching self-love. I only know how to be alone. I've never been happy either but hoping I will be somehow when I work through some issues in my life. If I need people to be happy, then I'm screwed because I don't really connect with people. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/08/23 04:00 PM
