Libido is not social. It is as close to completely hereditary as non-discrete traits can really be and primarily hormonal. Nothing in the psychological literature would suggest that even a small part of the variance is social rather than biological. It is an extremely well understood and researched area of biology and psychology and you’d do well to read up on it.

Exceptionally few people hate children naturally, for the vast majority seeing a toddler smile can completely make their day, and for fairly obvious reasons. To the extent that people “decide” not to have children nowadays it’s simply because we have an overabundance of luxury and corporate messaging systems telling people that being wage slaves is a better plan than making a family. I think the child free folks are gonna realize their mistakes when they’re 80 and have no one important to them a…

Holy shit the projection, imagine writing this screed and then accusing the above dude of having a victim mindset for daring to suggest women probably don’t need half the shit they think they do to look pretty 😂

No, that is the male libido. Men rank higher in essentially every single metric you can imagine that one would use to define libido. When trans men first go on HRT they report being absolutely stunned by just how insatiable they become. Testosterone is a hell of a drug.

You don’t do well with nuance do you? How did you take “women overall are worse conversationalists than men” and turn it into “there’s not a single woman on the planet that I’d be interested in talking to”. Jesus Christ man. Some people here give such extra chromosome vibes.

Don’t think so, doing just great with the women in my life. Thanks for the armchair diagnosis though!

I find conversation with most people boring, but with other men I at least have the benefit of shared experience whether they’re interesting or not, so I get it.

On the contrary, those marriages are more likely to endure. For better or worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/22 02:27 PM
2

It’s counterintuitive, but it’s because most people that don’t cohabitate before marriage are religious and get married within a year of being with their partner anyway. Those marriages endure more often because they take it more seriously, plain and simple. Now I’m not a religious person, but if anyone is curious why so many people divorce I’m just saying the answer is fairly obvious.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/22 02:26 PM
2

I’m fairly certain the divorce rate for couples who cohabited before marriage is a lot higher than otherwise. Usually that’s because of some religious reason, but the point stands I think.

Yes, 30% is dire, especially when we’re talking about the people that by and large keep complex infrastructure running. Men only turn to voluntary celibacy when it becomes apparent that they’re wasting effort being involuntary celibate. We are not like women in that sense. it’s the rage of the subset of men that are angry about their celibacy that is a problem. Yes, we agree on that. Pissing off 30% of the male population is a very bad idea. Marriage and monogamy in general evolved as tools to g…

Agreed, but that’s only a small part of the reason this is happening. Men just have to do more to get to experience it. Romance or even just getting casual sex is a ton of work for the vast majority of men, regardless of how well they’ve been socialized. For women it tends to be something that happens to them, and generally when women aren’t experiencing it it’s because they’re actively avoiding it. It’s always been this way and always will be for obvious biological reasons, the only real concer…

30% is a fucking staggering figure at the societal level. Roughly a third of men are missing out on one of life’s most important resources short of food water and shelter.

3

So we throw the stat off No you don’t. I don’t know what you don’t understand. If there are more single men than single women in every age bracket it cannot be explained simply by the fact that women tend to date older. Given that relationships are supposed to be 1:1 there would have to be an age bracket where there are substantially more single women than men to explain the disparity but that’s not the case. The only other explanation is that relationships are not 1:1 and there are women dating…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 09:44 PM
2

Right, so what the data shows is that for all age brackets there are more single men than women, and given a 1:1 ratio that only computes if you account for multiple women ‘dating’ the same men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 04:59 PM
6

No it doesn’t, not unless you’re suggesting women all the way from ages 18-49 are dating 49+ year old men. The trend does not give way substantially enough (more single 49+ women than men) for that to be the case.

From a purely statistics viewpoint higher body count is associated with higher likelihood of cheating, and not just because cheating yields a higher body count. Body count and likelihood of cheating both increase with sociosexuality, so a less restricted viewpoint on sex increases both.

No, but my answer wouldn't change if that were, say, 15% either.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/22 12:18 AM

It’s mostly not due to precum, the sperm density in precum is really low so while it’s theoretically possible it’s not what’s causing most pregnancies, otherwise the variance wouldn’t be so high between those that are good at it and those that aren’t. The failures have to mostly come from straight up not pulling out on time.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 11:18 PM
2

It’s when newly red-pilled men take out all their rage and frustrations with dating and the general unfairness of life as a man on women because they feel as though they’ve been duped.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 10:59 PM
3

I think if it takes you 4 years to even approach statistical certainty of pregnancy using only the pullout method, then it still works a lot better than what the user I commented to said. Again, I’m not advocating people throw caution to the wind and rawdog it all the time, I’m saying that statistically it’s surprisingly effective even up against things like condoms. Obviously if you can’t risk pregnancy it’s not something you should do.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 10:57 PM

Hypergamy is a biological fact whether you like it or not, psychological literature as well as genomic data from our evolutionary history is pretty clear on that. It’s existence is not a question, only it’s etiology is, but we have pretty robust explanations for that as well.

K den. Man people round here hate to read. I’ll edit my above comment to a few instead of a couple. Everybody else seems to have gotten the gist.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 06:26 PM

The figure on planned parenthood is 98% for perfect use of condoms and 96% for pullout for perfect use, I covered that in my initial comment. This has nothing to do with geography, it’s you comparing the worst case numbers of pullout to the best case numbers for condoms. And I’ll say it one last time, I’m not advocating for pullout, I’m advocating for statistical accuracy.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 06:23 PM
4

I was only commenting on people that insist on not wearing condoms for whatever reason, they need to be using some additional form. Again though statistically when you combine say something like pullout and cycle awareness you’re multiplying two pretty small numbers together. 0.22 x 0.12 is pretty low annually, and again those are the numbers with baked in user error, meaning for intelligent people they’re actually more effective than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 06:20 PM
8

Like I said, I’m not advocating, but statistically it definitely does work to some degree, way more than I was ever taught in health class. Even condoms leave you with a 15% chance of conception on the year. Those are well within the same ballpark. Everybody should be combining contraceptives for higher efficacy, like pullout and cycle awareness method if not pullout and birth control or pullout and condoms.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 06:13 PM
1

Yeah for sure that’s how it looks, it definitely doesn’t just look like a couple people ignored the actual argument and are confused about a reference to a folk tale that they could look up in 3 seconds if they were actually curious about it. You got me bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 06:08 PM
17

It does actually surprisingly well for those that use it correctly. Planned parenthood puts its overall efficacy at 78% annually, meaning for couples who only use pullout as their contraceptive they have about a 22% chance of pregnancy that year. For condoms it’s 85%. Keep in mind this factors in user error, for people that consistently use either method correctly it’s 96% vs 98% annually respectively. Not advocating, just saying. What about it? It's a heuristic for dealing with bad situations when women act shitty. It's the fact that you have to be prepared for that sort of contingency, and to do so in stride, shaking the women are wonderful effect that's conditioned into most young men. Maybe I just don’t understand it? You answered your own question. You don’t have a proper understanding of red pill theory. The red pill is descriptive, not prescriptive, and the universal urge for men to find a good woman to settle down and have kids with is baked into the ideology. Most men never leave what’s called the anger-phase though, so yes, most red pilled men are not ready for longterm relationships. Those type of men are better described as black pilled rather than red pilled. Edit: I…

It’s not something you’ll notice when you just look around outside, it only really pops up in big data, and it shows that yes there seems to be a decline in people having sex and entering relationships, mostly in men (yes even relationships the decrease is not 1:1, there are multiple women dating the same men). A big part of that variance is probably standards shooting up because of social media and OLD, some it might also just be behavioural again because of social media and the meteoric rise i…

Andrew Tate is a former world champion kickboxer, that success and the mindset that it takes to achieve that are where all of his success with women stems from. but being manipulative is not attractive. Of course it is. You seriously underestimate how much women love going on an emotional rollercoaster, even when they don't like to admit it to themselves. Confidence is belief in yourself. Courage is bravery. A willingness to take action when things go bad. Those are functionally the exact same thing. You don't get one without the other, because they're the same. If you're trying to split hairs this badly, when you can't even functionally separate these …

Yes, I would far rather live in a country where I'm less likely to be falsely accused again. False accusations are far more common than severe cases of sexual assault, family court stats alone bear that one out. he rate of success for cases with evidence is less than half just in Manhattan. Does that seem "very high" to you? Yes actually, what would you expect it to be when there's not typically blatant forensic evidence like with murder? They are speaking out, they are presenting evidence Uhhh,…

Manipulative is absolutely on there, otherwise women wouldn’t get manipulated as often as they do. The fuck? Courage is synonymous with confidence. What makes this synonymous with jerks is that they display all these same things, the only thing that differentiates the two is possibly charisma and appearance but for the purpose of this discussion I think we’re assuming the guy is good looking no?

Again, his words are just fine in my opinion. It’s pretty clear he’s not talking about sexually assaulting women but rather being annoyed at how many American women lie about such things the minute you hurt their feelings. That is not true. In a world where everyone is wearing their own personal wire at all times and when forensics is incredibly advanced in the case of more serious assault there’s simply no excuse for not h…

Some people aren’t particularly specific with their words, the intent was still pretty clear in my opinion. There’s no way to accurately measure the false accusation rate anyway. The majority of sexual assaults allegations everywhere are levied without evidence. It’s also pretty clear he’s playing a character the majority of the time, because you can tell when he breaks from it, which makes the entire discussion here more or less a waste of time.

Where’s the video? And why is that such a bad reason to go somewhere? Yes but the idea of being rejected by a faceless stranger you’ll never meet pales in comparison to being rejected by someone you’ve mustered up the courage to approach, especially when it’s in a space where you may continue seeing them around the rest of the evening like a bar or club. If you don’t see it that way that’s fine, but most legal contracts are set up that way, designed to protect one party’s interest more than the other. Insurance contracts, banking contracts, subscription services, etc etc. Thats not to say people shouldn’t engage in these contracts, because there’s obviously some benefit and quite frankly it would be difficult to live life without them (that’s the point, marriage is a contract that’s difficult to avoid), however it’s fairly obvious to those payin…

Right, so all of what I’ve said is accurate. Men can’t fully protect their assets with a prenup, which is what the user above said. It doesn’t matter if your spouse never worked a day in her life, she’s getting some.

Plenty of contracts are set up to essentially be legal theft, don’t play stupid. Most wives don’t contribute equally. Like I said though, I do plan to marry, but only when I find one that will. And if I don’t, oh well.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 02:46 PM

Sure, but most men need to shell out tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees that they may not have for that to happen. The reason most men don’t try for 50/50 custody isn’t because they don’t want it, it’s because they can’t afford the ensuing shitstorm after they’ve already had half their shit taken in the divorce, and even when they can there’s no guarantee.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 02:43 PM

It’s not anecdotal. The reasoning is pretty clear, divorced men explain in no uncertain terms their reasons for not seeking custody, and not wanting the kids is not one of them. The top one is being advised they’re likely to lose, second is not wanting to draw out a process and pay extravagant amounts of money when they’re likely to lose, and third is not wanting to give the ex a reason to go after them. There are plenty of states that allow for pre-marital assets to be divided. It is extremely rare for women to pay alimony or child support, even in the event they earn more. Roughly 40% of women are breadwinners in marriage but make up only 10% of alimony payments.

Prenups aren't generally worth the paper they're written on. The court has to find them 'fair', which means they have to protect the female spouse's interests else it risks being thrown out. I do plan to have one, but part of it is knowing that you're fucked either way in the event of divorce and just making certain concessions so that the court doesn't take everything including the shirt off your back.

I think that most women that identify as feminists because they believe that societal power structures are largely patriarchal and that the reason men and women experience different life outcomes is a result of sexism and oppression are indoctrinated. This is not to say that sexism isn’t real or that it’s not a bad thing, but the general feminist framework I just described is extremely disconnected from reality, and it is very common.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 09:40 PM

See though, they didn’t. At the end of the article the list multiple potential factors, but there is no specific evidence to determine which are the ones at play, and none of those things actually have anything to do with marriage in a vacuum.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 09:32 PM

No, the word suggest actually does not mean that in the context of studies where drawing causative conclusions is difficult. Epidemiological studies are among them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 09:13 PM
3

The majority of people in general don’t really think for themselves the way I’m describing, but college kids and younger especially. There’s a substantial difference between being wrong due to lack of information or experience and being willfully obtuse due to political indoctrination.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 09:04 PM
2

Nope, just reporting my experience having dated a lot of young university educated women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 09:00 PM

I did, and you still have not cited any causative evidence. You understand what the word suggest means, yes?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:56 PM
2

Not if it’s an accurate description of that person’s lived experience. I don’t care what you think of my character, I’m not asking for you to approve of my opinions. I know what modern college educated women tend to be like because I’ve dated them for 12 years, and it’s not a pretty sight.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:55 PM
4

That’s fine, but then the question still remains why this behaviour arises on college and university campuses first and foremost before making its way elsewhere. You can’t seriously act as though woke cancel culture is not a growing problem in the world and that it does not have its origins in the college system, or at the absolute least that the average college educated white woman is a lot more likely to engage is this kind of thinking than otherwise. It’s blatantly obvious, and it’s simply no…

You haven’t spent much time here then. Borderline sociopaths is simply an accurate descriptor of a lot of the women I met in University.

Warren Farrell is a feminist who served for the National Organization for Women. The term Men’s Rights Activist is only used to slander him, as if that were even so bad. Kids don’t think for themselves. These are not even their own words. It’s evidence that something is indoctrinating them, whether it’s the professors, media, whatever. It doesn’t so much matter, however it’s an indisputable fact that this sort of thinking is far more common among college educated women than otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:41 PM
2

This, again, does not prove causation in the direction that YOU are claiming it does, it simply shows that self-selection is not a biasing factor. There are 100s of other potential biasing factors that need to be considered, self-selection is simply one I suggested may play a role. It doesn’t matter if that one factor doesn’t, it still is not proven marriage is the cause. Christ man.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:38 PM

Go on and tell me then exactly in what context these people seem intelligent and reasonable. What journalistic integrity is lacking here?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:36 PM
2

They do not find causation. That is the limit of all epidemiological studies. Again, your insistence is not evidence to the contrary and the Harvard article is very honest about the fact that it’s difficult to precisely explain the cause of the observations.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:34 PM
9

Again, what in the fuck are you talking about and how does it have anything to do with the topic we were discussing?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:32 PM
4

You’re making the affirmative claim. I don’t see anywhere in the article that cites the evidence you say is included. These epidemiological studies do not find causation regardless of your insistence that they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:28 PM

Except that again is a failure to appropriately apply the correct statistics. Not all of the 40% of people who divorce remarry, and there’s no evidence that the ones that do are necessarily doing things to contribute to the end of the marriage. The fact that any given man might have a 60% chance of getting it right the first time and then only a 40% chance of getting it right the second time is not encouraging whatsoever. That is an excessive risk to most.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:27 PM

That wasn’t my experience, and I was in STEM. There were buzzwords and leftist talking points in all of my courses. This shit is everywhere, maybe it’s a generational thing because it’s gotten significantly worse in the last 10 years, or maybe geographical. I’ve dated a lot of women and the majority of them have held very far left political views.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:22 PM

I didn’t say it’s not fair that a woman receive some, if she gave up valuable earning years or something of the sort. The exact reason doesn’t usually seem to matter though, nor does the reason the marriage ended in the first place as most places are now no-fault. If your wife chooses to remain jobless she can literally fuck someone else in your own bed and then take half your assets when you find out. Again, I don’t think this describes the majority of divorces, but it’s not a safe bet either w…

They get indoctrinated by far-left extremists that take up the majority of the professorships in the humanities and social sciences usually, and this seeps it’s way into every field of study, even STEM.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:09 PM

The odds a man loses his kids are shit either way. Realistically for a man that wants kids marriage is an unfortunate necessity. You’ve got the asset things backwards as well unfortunately. Men who earn less are more likely to be destroyed. Men who make shitloads of money are the ones that can usually amply afford a divorce or two, even if they do end up paying larger totals.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:08 PM
9

There’s no good reason whatsoever to assume that a huge portion of that 40% is not representative of the population at large. So for the average man in the population, it’s not a safe bet.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 08:06 PM
13

Most of the so-called advantages for men are correlative and not causative. There’s no evidence whatsoever that marriage makes men healthier, it’s far more likely the causation on that is backwards, that healthier men are more likely to marry. Possibly the same with income, or simply that married men work more hours, either out of necessity or some other reason. The only reason a man truly has to marry is because he’s unlikely to keep a woman or have kids if he doesn’t. For men that don’t like b…

A lot of women become indoctrinated as fuck through college. It’s not so much that men want low earning or stupid women, it’s that women are unfortunately extremely vulnerable to peer pressure and right now that peer pressure leads to the vast majority of them becoming borderline insane sociopaths who aim their grievances at men instead of learning to understand that life fucks everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/22 07:55 PM
24

I mean, I still find a 40% chance at losing my kids and half my hard earned assets pretty fucking scary. Maybe that’s just the Y chromosome talking though. Don’t get me wrong, I plan to marry, but to pretend like it’s not completely reasonable to be hesitant if not completely opposed due to the risk is absurd.

The reason men don’t address issues is because we end up paying for it. It’s not societal, it’s a fundamental personality difference between men and women. Almost every time I’ve tried to open up and discuss negative feelings with a partner, regardless of whether they’re grievances aimed at her or the relationship, I end up having to console them over how my feelings made her feel. I got grilled over the death of grandmother one time, she wasn’t even in the ground and I wasn’t able to grieve app…

Not even them, they’re completely aligned with what this user is saying. When men complain they’re not getting laid it’s because right now it’s normal for the same 10 guys to be sleeping with 100s women, making the competition impossible and not worth the investment. Women engaging in less casual sex and looking for a reliable monogamous partner instead is a good thing for the men you see complaining. The single biggest reason for why historically women were so heavily restricted and socially pr…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 08:08 PM

Good. Women have been way too lax lately and just use abortion as their first line of contraceptive rather than seeing it as the morally repugnant but maybe-potentially-justified last resort it was supposed to be. The majority of men are not going to complain about women keeping their legs closed, if that even is what happens, I have my doubts.

Yes. You. Can. It is not illegal yet, probably won't be made illegal, and if they do make it illegal do it anyway and fight it in court because it's unconstitutional. That's assuming they catch you anyway and how the fuck are they gonna do that? For fuck sakes stop whining over authority being given back to the actual legislative branch the way it always should've been.

No, I do have an idea about it, and would love to see abortion restricted a bit here as well. Canada is among the most lax in the world on that front and I find it abhorrent. Quite frankly my bill for social programs in Canada is far higher than anyone in the US is ever going to pay even if your taxes do go up a bit. I'm planning to move to the US in the next few years because of it. So yeah you can spare me the sophistry.

It's not that easy. Most men are dying to have a reliable birth control option that isn't a condom, because yes condoms do absolutely fucking suck and why would you wear one if she's on birth control anyway. Men want reproductive control just as much as women, if not more. The problem is that men have a single sex hormone that does everything, anything hormonal has to act on testosterone and that has tended to make men suicidal, more so than in any of the female birth control trials. We don't ha…

No problem, I didn’t know either until I read the ruling. The legal justification and majority opinion is a good read, there’d be a lot less confusion if most people read it. The argument is basically just that the original decision was egregious with too-far-reaching consequences to begin with that ultimately just resulted in the actual legislature on abortion being kicked down the road for 50 years. Now it can be handled state-by-state or even federally if congress decides to pursue that route…

It’s abundantly clear that in the vast vast majority of contexts bodily attractiveness rules out over most things. By bringing up K-Pop stars and David Bowie all you’re doing is creating a smokescreen based on celebrity status which is irrelevant for the overwhelming majority of men and women. Again, this is as close to universal as it can statistically be and no amount of denial on your part changes that.

I wouldn’t dispute that womens’ tastes tend to a mean (just like mens’), but the bell curve is flatter than you’re suggesting. No it isn't, the data on what women find attractive in men is extremely clear and there's no bell curve. The relationship is linear for most traits up to a plateau and small downward correction (too much muscle is a turn off for some women but still better than not enough muscle for example) not even close to a curve. If you make a woman feel great around you, she will t…

It’s not a problem of nomenclature, that was just an example. The denial that this preference exists and is as universal as it can possibly be is the main premise of my comment. Let’s suppose for a minute though that it wasn’t, if what women call a dad bod is “guy who goes to the gym but doesn’t have a 6 pack” that’s still not a problem of nomenclature, that’s outright retardation on their part.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 07:55 PM
1

Except they don’t when it comes to certain traits and behaviours, that is exactly my point. When it comes to bodily attractiveness for example, women are as universally attracted to cues of upper body strength as statistically possible. In no study on that have they ever found even a small subgroup of women where that wasn’t the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 02:25 PM
1

Unless you’re claiming that almost all women are disordered you’re going to have a hard time sneaking that by the majority of the men in this thread who are saying this is their experience with most women. Or do you think every single man who’s ever discussed and used red pill principles exclusively dates disordered women even when on the surface they can be the healthiest most down to earth person around? Check your head mate
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 02:23 PM

Very far from the truth. It is not just disordered women that respond well to red pill/pua tactics. That’s extremely naive wishful thinking on your part.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/22 09:41 PM
6

Because women are dishonest about that. When men give the advice to hit the gym there’s always some woman saying “nooooo don’t do that, I like dad bods” where meanwhile she thinks Jason Momoa has a dad bod. No man should ever take dating advice from women. Ever.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/22 09:38 PM

There was a study done by the university Chicago on the relative importance of height vs income in online dating and they found that men 5’8” and lower had to make something like $150K greater than average (and increasing with every inch shorter) to be considered a dating candidate on equal terms with someone 5’11”. For men 6’2” and up they reached the bottom of the pay scale, meaning women will date jobless losers at that height and above.

The closest I’ve ever found was this set of studies: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0146167214543879 They essentially paired up a bunch of college students and told them to message back and forth about their lives and any issues they were having. In one of the studies there was a real person on the other end and in the other the responses were automated. /r/PurplePillDebate19/06/22 06:32 PM

I’m sure the women I’ve dated thought that as well, that’s not the point of this thread. The reality is your consciousness is just a series of real-time projections influenced by and large by unconscious processes. Sex and mating is ruled primarily by the limbic system, and you have absolutely no real control over what it tells you you ‘want’. You don’t choose that any more than you can choose to be thirsty.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/22 07:56 PM

Do you understand how stupid it is to lay out the definition of prejudice when by the very definition presented, a young man who’s sceptical of most young women based on either some verifiable psych or sociology stats or his own lived experience with women until that point actually make his scepticism not prejudice? No, I suppose you don’t, because you did it anyway. Don’t get me wrong, I get what you’re going for, but this is probably the single worst execution of that argument Ive ever seen.

This is the answer. Some women are also fucking weird about what they consider cheating. I have an ex who was pretty active on Hinge most of our time together, claims she never met up with anyone though so she never cheated in her opinion. I do actually believe she never met anyone, but definitely consider it cheating. A lot of women I know have these weird connections with side dudes that even if they’re not fucking are definitely just being held in retainer for the minute their bf fucks up.

Yeah? That’s exactly my point, wealth is not what generates happiness beyond the bare essentials. Minorities by and large are not happier today than they were then either. The data on that is pretty clear as well, after the civil rights movement of the 60s was when the US government began trafficking drugs into black neighbourhoods to destabilize them not long after what could’ve been a golden era for race relations. No, we actually don't. As a good rule of thumb when someone says 'men' or 'women' in the context of a debate or a statistic, they don't mean literally every single one of those people in that group, they mean as a population average. You've tried to put words in my mouth several times now for example insisting that I've been saying you don't love your husband when I've neither said or implied anything remotely similar. This is a reading comprehension issue on your end, nothing more.

Congrats, the point of the red pill is not to use this information against women either or to believe this behavior is inevitable. What it may be used for is to vet out the unpleasant women, the same way women can and should vet out the overly aggressive douchebags. We've come full circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 06:58 PM

Because something being anecdotal only means it can be discarded when it's not an observable pattern. I was pointing out how it is in fact an observed pattern by many, so much so that when Chris Rock says it all the men in the audience feel it in their core. How dumb do you have to be to suggest that's not somewhat significant? Fuck outta here.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 06:48 PM

You could still claim those tendencies exist though, because they do. Men are much more competitive and physically aggressive overall. That is in fact part of male nature.

I'm not saying all women act this way either. I'm saying there are population level trends that are very strong. Why do you assume these things put women in a bad light? I mean if you'd prefer actual psychological literature on this I'm sure I could provide some. You didn't ask. Gee good thing it’s not just me saying it then eh? This is the reported experience of a ton of men, if you don’t want to take this sub as an example just go look at r/AskMen. Mainstream comedians like Chris Rock joke about this shit in front of sold out crowds. It’s just part of the male experience.

Yeah so like I said, when you compare those countries to, I dunno, Yemen for example, why are we surprised that liberal democracy is associated with happiness? Intellectual honesty man, do you speak it? If you compare happiness rates in all of those countries in the 70s to now what do you think you’d find?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:45 PM
1

I suppose if you’re going to compare developed nations to ones where there’s a shortage of clean drinking water and food you might find that, yeah. I prefer intellectual honesty and it’s pretty clear liberal progressivism and happiness isn’t linear beyond the point of having basic needs met.

They’ve all seemed to be fine people, nothing egregious except for one ex who I came to learn was a serial cheater but we only dated a year. I’ve had multiple multi-year relationships. The truth is simply that women generally expect more from a relationship than men do and no amount of Disney ‘be yourself’ bullshit changes that. Women are hardcore utilitarians.

Yes they have been replicated. Read a fucking book.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:30 PM

So you are saying that non-cohabitating couples see each other just as much as married couples? Do you realize how stupid that assertion is?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:30 PM
2

It’s a statistically significant difference, and controlling for the amount of times they see each other the level of desire is clearly higher. If a couple sees each other 60 times a year and they have sex 59 times, vs the married couple that sees each other 365 times a year and has sex 55 times, I think it’s clear to me who desires each other more.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:21 PM

I didn’t say we need to repeal the vote, or that you don’t love your husband, why are you so intent on putting words in my mouth? I’m talking about population level effects, which have been replicated. Scientists don’t even study whether these phenomena exist anymore, their only intent is on teasing out why it’s this way.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:20 PM
1

Yes there is. Most injuries and deaths are from DV situations where only the man is violent. Otherwise what you’re suggesting is that some of the time women are beaten or killed they were the aggressor. I don’t think you want to make that argument, do you? It’s also just statistically true.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:18 PM

I mean, it does. They’re non-cohabitating. Unless you’re implying that couples that don’t live together also see each other every day?

I don’t care what the women on this sub say. The stats and psychological literature bare that out. Estimates are that 8-25% of men (depending on the part of the world) are unknowingly raising a child that isn’t theirs for example. I didn’t say women were subservient and secondary, did I? Women, left to their own devices, choose roles that are different (but no less important) and are typically happier doing so. Women’s reported happiness overall has declined dramatically since the 70s, so it wou…

It’s a lot more when you control for the fact they don’t see each other near as often.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:11 PM
3

You don’t think there’s some kind of middle ground? In terms of happiness we’ve been on a steep decline since the 70s. All this luxury and people are getting more miserable and less healthy than they were 50 years ago. It’s by and large a moral issue or one of character. When you destroy the moral foundation of a society it crumbles. It may take a while, but it’s happening. Even the most progressive observer can see it, they just blame different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 05:10 PM

It’s far more common in marriage. Like, by a factor of 10. And yes, no dispute that male on female DV is more severe, however only typically when it’s non-reciprocal, which accounts for a small portion of the total DV incidence. Still an issue of course, nobody is saying it isn’t.

Sexual - in an evolutionary context women want it all, resources and looks (good genes). This however is very rare so often trade offs need to be accounted for and women commonly employ a dual mating strategy. Well documented in the literature. Red pill calls this the Alpha Fucks / Beta Bucks dichotomy. Work - women tend to prefer caretaker roles and ones with a high degree of socialization. In countries that are the most egalitarian the disparity between men and women in certain professions wid…

I did, married people are having less sex than unmarried people. There’s also domestic violence which is frighteningly common among the married (most of the time it’s reciprocal), and divorce which as you also know is quite common.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 04:57 PM

Female nature in what context? Sexual? Work? Social? All of the above? This stuff is literally all covered in psychological literature, which is where the red pill draws its readings from.

If the sub weren’t banned I’d show you the sidebar and just how wrong you are. Nothing about red pill theory states that. Literally nothing. Apparently it’s moved to a website, admittedly I haven’t seen it but I’d be willing to bet that none of the reading material they recommend on the new site preaches any of this.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 04:31 PM

It clearly has nothing to do with marriage though when unmarried people apparently desire each other a lot more.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 04:29 PM

That’s almost 10% less sex, statistically that’s pretty significant, especially given how much less time is spent around each other. You can either get married, see her every day and get laid once a week, or you can not get married and see each other once a week, put in a lot less upkeep and get laid more often. The choice is pretty obvious to me.

I didn’t say most men aren’t low value, you’re right, most are. That’s what the red pill is for, advocating for men to become high value. The red pill says none of those things. Men who are angry at women say those things. There’s a decent overlap but the again the red pill in a vacuum advocates for overcoming the anger.

I’ve dated a lot of women and none of them actually wanted me, they just wanted the things they associate with me. Good dick, free dinners, validation and company. Apples to apples babe. Most of the time the only thing keeping women around is the sunk cost fallacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 04:19 PM

The red pill in a vacuum says nothing about women being evil or inferior. Those are the projections of hurt men. You could say however that the red pill teaches that most modern women are low value due to rampant feminism, and that is just factually correct. You could point out the hugest red pill asshole you can imagine and I guarantee you he loves the company of a pleasant woman.

Actually since 2014 married couples are having less sex now than people who are coupled but unmarried and not cohabitating. The average is 59 times per year vs 55 for married. There’s a reason the dead bedroom trope exists and why it’s pretty much exclusive to married couples. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10508-017-0953-1

Women don’t have nearly as many types as you’re suggesting. There are certain traits that women find universally attractive or as close to it as statistically possible, to the point where even tiny niche groups of women will choose men exhibiting those traits over ones in their niche that don’t. Take goth women for example. They’re still just as attracted to cues of upper body strength as other women, so if they have to choose between the scrawny goth dude or the jacked non-goth dude who just ha…

I absolutely believe that women think they give more than they receive and will report as much, but the reality for me, most men I know, and apparently bisexual men and women who’ve dated both, is that women are insanely off base with their perceptions and that in most relationships people who date women feel like they’re playing an intense game of chess trying to please women with extremely little guidance. Men are content with far less.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 08:07 PM

It’s not really a niche given that men just have more reasonable standards overall. Assortative mating is a thing but less so for younger women.

Ask a lot of outgoing guys how they're doing and they'll report worse outcomes than most unattractive women. Fat women get a lot more play than you could ever imagine.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 06:47 PM

And I would again say that is a completely misguided take. Men and women both give a lot less to their relationship as things progress.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 06:46 PM
3

Nah, I'm alright. I understand the struggles women go through just fine, they post about it here daily and you know what their single largest complaint is? Too many options. Now, most of them might be trash, but then so are most of mens options. I'm not even complaining personally, I'm in a great relationship, but it's just too obvious how much easier dating is for women to not point out.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 06:28 PM
4

The fact you're arguing that women get easier to deal with after committed just tells me you've got your eyes and ears welded shut. Does the phrase happy wife happy life mean anything to you? How much media needs to exist pointing out marriage tropes and how much less happy men are after they get married before you maybe admit that women are just insanely hard to please no matter the stage of the relationship? Your argument doesn't even make sense, people give precisely what they need to to get …

The default stance for both parties on the date should be to split, regardless of how the date goes, yet somehow that expectation doesn't work both ways.

A shy girl with similar levels of attractiveness could have a new date every night of the week with a few swipes.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 06:17 PM

There can be a difficulty curve for both genders where one still has a such a higher average that they're not super comparable overall. Dating for the average man is harder than for the average women and that disparity exists all the way up and down the spectrum. Just because a super attractive dude doesn't have the issues a literal 3 of a woman does isn't exactly the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 05:46 PM

Men choose to pay because they are hoping to impress or obligate. Again with the disingenuous bullshit. Impress, sure, but I've literally never met a single man, ever, that believes paying on the first date entitles him to sex. Not one. That's a bullshit fantasy you've made up in your own head to justify your distaste with men. On the other hand, every single guy I know has gone on a date that went extremely poorly for one reason or another and was expected to pay. No offer to split. Personally,…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 05:43 PM
4

That's complete nonsense. People tend to get worse in relationships as they let their guard down, not better. If men are nicer and easier to please at the outset, it's certainly the case that they're easier to please 10 years in. Now, I understand why women are shittier in relationships, it's because they have to be with the burden of vulnerability. That however does not make it not true or give them a realistic excuse for being ungrateful cunts all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 05:24 PM
5

You're being disingenuous. When men complain about being used for free meals they're not talking about not getting laid after, they're talking about the woman clearly only being there for the free food. In fact, this entire comment is less a legitimate argument and more a screed. Have some intellectual honesty will ya.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 05:19 PM

You need to go read the top thread right now where lesbian and bi women are complaining about how much more difficult it is to date women than men. Men are not shittier or harder to date. Not even close, by women's own admissions.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 05:11 PM

He's saying you only need to be one of those things, attractive, and even then if you don't look like an ogre and are okay dating men in your league it's far easier for women to get dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 05:09 PM
7

You're pretty spot on, although causality might be backwards. For a lot of men getting laid consistently makes them misogynistic, in the sense that it can still take a lot of work and dealing with bullshit. For straight men in general I think the more exposure they have to women and their bullshit the more misogynistic they're likely to be, at least that's been my experience. It's probably a bimodal distribution with peaks at both ends of the extreme.

The level of sexual repression is the probable explanation. Women can have a singular nature (sexual hypergamy) that is by and large checked by cultural and social norms. Marriage and monogamy for example, largely a societal tool to get as many men access to sex as possible for the purpose of reducing hostility and competition among men.

You don’t have to do what’s optimal to be healthy, but certainly it should not be too much to ask someone to maintain a healthy BMI into old age. Personal agency is one thing, but at the point where it begins to literally make the rest of society sick, you’ve gone too far. I actually don’t think it conflicts too much, because people with a solid sense of agency are going to see what they’re doing to themselves and their communities and do what they can to fix it. The number one cause for young women having irregular periods or missing them altogether is excessive drinking. Behind that it’s poor nutrition. Behind those it’s not even close to the same proportion. The reason I’m judgemental about it is because people should not be able to shirk their responsibilities to themselves and to society this way without being judged for it. I’m not making a legal argument, I’m making a moral one. Bad people need to be shamed for it.

Because you don’t seem to understand that the vast majority of women do not have irregular periods, and among the ones that do it is almost always a lifestyle issue. Almost always. So like I said, if you can’t tell you’re pregnant after 8 weeks it’s probably because you’re a shit person.

If what you’re suggesting is that some people legitimately can’t tell between some spotting and a full period, then I refer you back to my original comment. You didn’t read the paper, did you? It’s actually abundantly clear what immune disorders it predisposes women to and why. Birth control stopping your period is a sign or hormone disregulation which longterm is associated with a ton of bad shit. Your gynaecologist should not be keeping you on anything that is causing you to miss periods. Sex hormone disorders are not to be taken lightly, the literature is very clear on the longterm effects of that.

Longer than usual, but not by months, and there is always an underlying cause that you should be asking about. Issues with sex hormones are not to be taken lightly.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/22 04:44 PM

I think what happened here is you’re one of the horribly irresponsible women who didn’t know they were pregnant at 15 weeks and aborted a perfectly good fetus long after you should’ve known you were pregnant, and you’re taking this personally as a result. Do better.

I know that it is biologically impossible for you to have a period (the shedding of the uterine lining) while being pregnant. Jesus Christ do you think that just because I’m a man I can’t know anything about pregnancy? Fuck outta here.

Birth control actually does an amazing job regulating your period for the vast majority of women. You’re not supposed to use birth control to skip a period. Where are you learning this stuff, honestly?

No it is not possible to get a period while pregnant. Who the fuck told you that? Where did I say that? Men and women have unique issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 10:04 PM

That is such a stupid cop out. I could easily just say since you’re a woman you can’t speak for men, this is the male experience I’m commenting on after all. It is not a feeling, it is a 100% verifiable fact that men on average receive far less support in essentially all avenues of life. The only reason you refuse to see it is because you lack a Y chromosome.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 07:40 PM
1

Not in the way that women do. Outside of family most men have very few people they can depend on, and it’s most obvious at the societal level. Men do not get help for their issues the way women do. Remember, women are the primary victims of war, and also a staggering 25% of the homeless are women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 03:37 PM
1

Again, blind to the reality. I take it you've never spent any serious amount of time dating women? The percentage of women that include anything non-superficial in their profiles is sub 10% easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 06:50 PM
3

There are a shortage of attractive women who aren't like that. Again, this is something that is about as close to a human universal as can be and the only difference is how extreme it is. I go out of my way to avoid dating gold-diggers, but it doesn't mean I expect the type of women who don't come across that way in the extreme to not care whatsoever about what kind of car I drive or what type of clothes I wear or what kind of restaurants I frequent or the places I've travelled.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 06:48 PM
3

That’s a good point because pretty much everywhere else in the animal kingdom those urges are even stronger and less likely to be ignored. A huge proportion of reproduction among animals is rape compared to humans. If anything modern society is an extreme outlier in the opposite direction, it’s an absolute miracle that we’ve gotten men by and large to play along.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 06:10 PM
1

You’d think someone would’ve told them about testosterone by now. It absolutely baffles me how quick some people are to point to nurture over nature when the role of nature has been leading in the literature heavily ever since the debate started.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 04:57 PM
10

Well yes that’s the point, life is inherently transactional, most people just don’t like to admit it consciously. The reason the red pill puts an extreme focus on looks and money is because that’s what attracts the most women and keeps them around. Just because some don’t want to admit it doesn’t mean it’s not important or that they wouldn’t leave if you lose or job and/or let yourself go.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 04:52 PM
1

Why would you leave that up to women? That’s part of what makes virgin men losers, lack of any social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 03:20 PM
16

do you want to attract people based on who you are or what you have to offer? Part of the red pill is accepting that a man’s value is exclusively based on what he has to offer, not just in dating but in society in general. Nobody gives two fucks about men or who they are, the struggles that have defined them, their mental health, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 03:09 PM

The overwhelming desire that most men feel to have sex isn’t rooted in society. Jesus Christ did nobody take biology?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 03:02 PM
2

I agree but good luck getting men to not consume porn, 99% of men consumed porn even when women acted like women.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 02:50 PM
1

Because if you claim most women are putting important things in their profile and not just superficial bullshit it proves to me beyond any shadow of a doubt that you haven’t looked and are just making shit up. 99% of womens dating profiles are trash and filler. “Best way to get to know me: a glass of wine”, “Most watched tv show: the office”, “how to ask me out: by asking”. You have no idea how disconnected from reality your take truly is.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 02:49 PM
6

That doesn’t contradict my point whatsoever. No teenage boy would rather watch porn than have a girlfriend, and most try to figure that out before porn addiction becomes the only real way to meet those needs.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 02:46 PM
1

We’re not talking about kids enjoying video games or porn, the context of this discussion is men that do nothing but play video games on their free time and are so turned off of women that they’d rather watch porn. 14 is also dating age so I’m not sure what you’re trying to get at, no teenage boy is going “wow I’d so much rather watch porn than have a girlfriend”. Men do not turn herbivore before even trying.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/22 02:45 PM
21

Causality on that is backwards for the most part. Men would have a much healthier relationship overall with porn and video games if dating felt rewarding. Most guys give it an honest try well into their 20s and either have some success and get a few heartbreaks turn them off or get no success and just check out. Saw this happen to my brother and a lot of his friends, they just don’t try anymore and porn and vidya fills the void.

Women absolutely do not put that kind of info in their dating, I seriously don’t know what you’ve seen to suggest otherwise. The best dating app on the market right now is probably Hinge and you get 3 prompts. Guess how most women fill those? They’re not listing their life’s dream or anything important that is for sure. And that’s not to say that makes them low quality. It simply goes to show that dating apps are superficial right up until the moment you actually meet in person. You’re ignoring …

I don’t see crazy, toxic, vulgar women with high value men any more than I see crazy toxic vulgar men with high value women. By and large normal people are dating normal people and the crazy toxic people stick together. You don’t have to be worth dating for men to want to date you. Unless you mean just lookswise? Absolutely you do. I don't see what doesn't make sense about that. Men that are worth dating (in whatever league, it's all relative) don't enter relationships for sex, they can get that anywhere. You need to add something to their life. It cannot simultaneously be the case that tons of men are seeking to date women that aren't worth dating, and also that all men want is sex. If they’re undesirable in t…

Here’s the thing, with the amount of additional attention women get it really shouldn’t be difficult to find the guys that do want a relationship, and that trope isn’t even true. Most guys are relationship-agnostic, meaning they’ll take the sex if they can get it, but you have to actually be worth dating for them to want to date you. The thing that women don’t realize is that just like most men to them, most of y’all are not worth dating to us. Let’s assume that trope is actually accurate though…

You might be. Whether it feels like it or not isn’t really the point. It’s a Pareto distribution. Of the 20% of guys at the top, 20% of those are getting 80% of that interest, and so on, all the way up to the top.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 05:33 AM

The reason my ex cheated is because she's a serial cheater. We were friends before dating and I knew she had some questionable morals (slept in my bed drunk one time after I insisted she take the couch, I did nothing because I'm not a dickhead), but I didn't realize to what extent. Now you could point the finger at me and say "You should've known" and to that I say hindsight is 20/20 and love does funny shit.

I’ve had a lot of success in both areas. By n-count I’m probably a few standard deviations above the norm if not a complete outlier. We’re talking somewhere probably in the mid 30s. I’ve also been in a decent amount of relationships, most between 3-6 months but one that lasted 3 years and another a year and a half. It’s been difficult and incredibly frustrating getting those successes though. For every girl I’ve slept with I’ve been ghosted by 5 more, most of whom I thought I was doing a favour …

I didn’t say stay insecure, I was commenting on what useless advice the previous dude gave saying that’s all he needed. For fucksake man, you do understand there are a ton of women who get wet for Loki over Thor right? I've already explained more than once, that's not what this thread is about, and in absolute terms it's an extremely small subset of women even if you want to go there. In most studies you don't even see this subset of women, it's that universal. I didn't say small, I said smaller, and 30% of men aged 18-30 being completely celibate when the norm is between 10-15% is an absolutely staggering figure so maybe we shouldn't make light of it. And “these issues” have been heavily correlated with the growth of the video game and porn industry because as you said this is a recent phenomenon. Porn and video games are not a recent phenomenon. The fact that you think goth girls are by and large choosing the emaciated pale kid with fallout boy hair over the big dude with tats and piercings is quite frankly hilarious to me. I've bounced for those clubs, the girls sometimes show up with those guys but they don't leave with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/22 09:43 PM

Given that it's been about 50 years if not more since that was remotely the mindset and it's only the past ~10 we've seen these issues, no, not at all is that the reason for this shift. The reason sexlessness isn’t increasing as much for young women is probably because they’re dating men a couples years older. That ~2 year age gap preference has always existed and it's never affected the numbers this way. It's also climbing for men across the board, although it's most extreme in the 18-30 range.…

Putting all of the blame on young women being “picky” lacks an acceptance of personal responsibility. I don’t see for what reason teenagers / young adults aren’t having sex as much anymore. By and large it's young men missing out, sexlessness among young women hasn't climbed at nearly the same…

The proportion of how much of a man's attractiveness is facial vs bodily wasn't the question, it's how much any individual man's attractiveness changes based on his body type. MGK would be rated more attractive by almost every single woman if he were more muscular, that is an indisputable fact based on the literature. It’s not like goth girl goes after lacrosse Chad because he’s ripped. She goes after skinny goth Chad with cheekbones and tattoos. I can tell you from personal experience that they…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/22 08:50 PM

You're blatantly wrong. The overwhelming majority of women prefer more muscular men. In this study for example, not a single woman preferred a man who they perceived to be weaker. Not one. It's about as close to a universal preference as can possibly be. https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rspb.2017.1819

What an absolutely ridiculous non-answer. If you're curious, the answer is women, whether the drive is primarily sex (when younger) or relationships and later on family. Men's primary drive in life is attracting a mate. Almost everything men do is for women, or at least it used to be, young men don't seem to think the juice is worth the squeeze anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/22 08:35 PM
9

You've got the causality backwards on that one. Most young men try to date well into their early 20s only to realize that it's a fruitless endeavor the majority of the time and that is when they check out. Porn and video games fill the void, they didn't create it.

Machine gun kelly would be far more attractive if he carried around about 30 more lbs in lean muscle.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/22 08:28 PM

That is not true, multiple studies have shown that women and men can pretty accurately predict levels of upper body strength, even accounting for the bias height introduces, and yes perceived strength is a huge factor in men's attractiveness, and leanness while relevant was less important than perceived strength overall and can offset to some degree being lean by just being bigger (higher bodyfat is stronger to a point). https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rspb.2017.1819

You'd have to be ridiculously misguided to think that the overwhelming majority of men wouldn't trade that in a heartbeat. We're already the targets of most violent crime and are on high alert for danger, so in essence you're asking us to switch that for a sexual context in exchange for a dating and sex life that becomes literally thousands of times easier. Who would say no?

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 10:37 PM

Nope, like I said most people won't actually benefit from therapy except as a way to vent because there's only so much it can do before it's the responsibility of the individual to fix their shit, and most people can't or won't act on what they learn in therapy. I've had my fill of it myself. What I want the women I date to be is pleasant to be around and attractive enough, that's about it. I think most men would settle for even less than that. Even neutral would be a win for most.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 10:18 PM
1

Sure they would. It's just an act more than anything. It's just rationalizing being single. Therapy doesn't work for most people in general either because they lack the self-awareness or ability to act on whatever they find. Besides, here you are also saying men aint shit so maybe you're not quite the partner you think you are either.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 08:14 PM

No I see them, I just understand that when men say "women ain't shit so why would I commit to one" what they really mean is "I'm in pain, and I would love nothing more than a good woman to walk into my life and reassure me that it's all going to be okay." I know because I've been there. You just gotta read between the lines a little.

Wrong, men don't want intimacy with modern women who treat them like shit. We're dying for intimacy from good women who can at least feign interest in them for 5 minutes.

That's not objectifying in any sense of the word. They're still a child who you obviously love and care about. Again, do this without making leaps of logic that cant be explained.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 06:53 PM

Sure it's built in all kinds of ways, when did I ever say it wasn't? Pillow talk is still a major major form of intimacy, for men especially.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 06:45 PM

What about anything I've said implies they'd be seen as objects and not people. Explain in detail this argument of yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 06:30 PM

It is though. It is a key moment of intimacy in developing relationships. Also sex and love are in no way equivalent. I didn't say they were. I said people need both. Have you ever been in a long term committed romantic relationship? Yes of course.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 06:05 PM

Wanting a legacy and wanting a family to be happy and fulfilled are the exact same thing, only one is about who's there on your death bed while the other is what's happening in the lead up to that point. They are fundamentally the same thing and the consequences of the same biological drive.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:59 PM
1

I bet they'd say a lot. In this thread all I've learned from you is that you're incapable of trying to show interest in the things your partner is interested in, and you'd be disgusted if they weren't legitimately painstakingly interested in the bullshit you'd rather talk about instead even if they were making an effort. That is peak hypocrisy and you sound insufferable. I think my initial assessment was correct.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:51 PM
1

I repeat, nothing about wanting a family to live a happy and fulfilled life implies any level of objectification and it's crazy that you've made that leap somehow.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:49 PM
1

That seems to be a two-way street for you. You refuse to act engaged with them as well. Sounds like relationships just aren't for you since you refuse to be a good faith participator in the things that people in relationships do to make them work.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:48 PM
1

Wanting a family purely out of instinct or legacy value like most people doesn't imply they'd be treated as objects.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:43 PM
1

The fact that it's sub-conscious in most people doesn't mean it's not the primary reason for having kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:37 PM
1

Okay, go live in the woods, or hell just try staying in as much as possible and avoiding others like the plague. We just got out of 2 years of that and you're telling me people aren't severely crippled from it mentally?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:35 PM
1

People still need both, and pillow talk is one of the areas where people develop real intimacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:34 PM
1

For now it might be, yeah. Priorities can change though. A good partner will at least feign interest in what their partner has to say. Stop making pillow talk all about you and I guarantee you'd see some results.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:56 PM
1

Then don't date crypto guys. Most men are not going to have interests that you actually want to talk about, but if you want them to talk to you you better get good at at least feigning interest. Men have this same issue with women, we don't give a flying fuck about Becky from HR or what that slut wore today, but a good man will at least hear you out.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:54 PM

Sure they do, that's all anyone has kids for it's just not usually made so conscious.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:40 PM

Have you considered that might be all you have to offer them? Men are usually happy to talk about the things they enjoy, but only when someone wants to listen. Women will talk whether anyone is listening at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:37 PM
4

that arrangement is usually the preference for both.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:32 PM

Because for most men being child free isn't outside the norm as much as it is for women, and women who fall outside the norm need to talk about it. You see the same thing with the vegan sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:31 PM
4

When daddy is working 80 hours a week generally that's the case, yes, and that arrangement is usually the preference for both.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:28 PM
2

It's not a male thing. Most women want children more than most men. Bringing more people into an unhappy world isn’t some awesome accomplishment. Silly anti-natalist bullshit. You're not smart for understanding the world can be a rough place.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:27 PM
3

Women don't want those careers generally speaking. There are more women going to law school than men by a substantial margin and that's been true for long enough that women who wanted to make partner for example have already done so. What happens to most female lawyers is that they reach their mid 30s and decide they want kids so they step away to focus on family while their husbands continue working 80 hrs a week.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:24 PM
3

It can be both. Access to sex falls into physiological needs though so it is a higher priority for most, yes. Pillow talk only happens after sex after all. Later in life it's less important than just having a family generally.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:18 PM
1

It already is, just search 'male oversized tees'. Do keep in mind male models tend to be pretty androgenous and sometimes not the most muscular, but it's definitely the way things are headed.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:12 PM
4

That's because it fights stress, not because it leads people to being happy alone. Everyone could benefit from doing more things to counter their stress like working out, eating better, getting more sleep, etc. None of that will keep most people from experiencing severe existential dread if they're heading into their 40s ruthlessly single though.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:10 PM
1

Because people in general are never satisfied with what they have. Regardless, if you survey random 70 year olds, some with grandkids and some without, you'd see just how important family gets later in life. Sure it's fine to be a lone wolf in your 30s and maybe your 40s to some extent, after that it starts to look very bleak. Nobody wants to die alone with no legacy.

With therapists it's because they want money. Therapy is good for a few sessions for people who are self-aware enough to figure out where their core issues stem from and start practicing on fixes, but after that it's a complete waste and no therapist can or will actually give you advice on reaching comfort or how to deal with a lifetime of being alone and going into your 60s or 70 with no legacy to speak of. Regardless, their income is dependent on you staying sick and the vast majority of thera…

Yep, trend is going back to more like the 90s look. For it to look good though imo it should still be snug around the shoulders and chest.

That is a stupid trope which really needs to die. Humans are extremely social creatures, love is literally higher on the hierarchy of needs than self-esteem or self-actualization. You're not getting to that point without it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 03:46 PM

I agree with this completely. When I *know* I'm better looking than my partner I tend to slack a lot. When we're equal or she's a tiny bit better looking it's a good bit of motivation.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 03:28 PM

Oversized is the trend now for men who are fit actually. If you can fill out a large shirt it's a good look.

I've had my women friends try to set me up with a friend of theirs who is "absolutely gorgeous" and when they show a pic they're like 60 lbs overwieght. It's downright insulting how poor their comparators are sometimes.

If he weren't famous he'd absolutely be seen as average. Not particularly tall, nothing special about his face, slim but not any appreciable amount of muscle. Dude is a 6 on a good day and that's only because he has a healthy BMI. The reason men here think he's average is because they may look similar to the description above but are treated as average or below average by women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 03:17 PM

It's not a proxy for attractiveness but assuming you're reasonable it can still be a proxy for "how easy will it be for you to find someone you like". That's just simple stats.

That's what hinge does and as an above average but non-Chad it definitely does help a bit. It's much better than tinder and bumble in terms of quality. I think if I were an average or below guy though I still wouldnt bother, those guys need to play a big numbers game so hinge might actually be counter-productive to that end.

A lot of things killed traditional relationships, not hollywood. For the most part what did it was technology freeing people from their biological hardships. This isn't a bad thing, but the unforeseen consequences are very much real. Men and women of the past cooperated mostly because they had to. The only thing keeping love somewhat alive actually is hollywood, now that the utilitarian aspect of love and marriage is gone the only thing left that's even somewhat desirable is finding a partner to…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 02:52 PM

No, it's literally a simple mathematical concept. If the likelihood of finding your partner is the same for every person you vet, then the person vetting more people in a shorter time frame is going to arrive at their partner faster on average. How do you not get that?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 07:53 PM

It's a simple conceptual argument which is self-evident to anyone watching.

The exception is dudes who absolutely fail at dating and they lowered their standards out of despair. That is most men in the dating pool today. A solid 70% or more of single men.

How do you know that he will be happy with just one if 50 attractive women are all interested in him? They're not attractive, they're average. 50 is too high a number though I agree, most men would be happy with 5 prospects, and from there he might date 2 or if he has a lot of energy even 3 until one of them wants his commitment. Women have to vet for different things that men do. Men primarily care about looks, fertility and youth. That is a myth. Men over the age of 25 care more about loyalty …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 07:13 PM

It absolutely does equate to an easier time, that's absurd. If finding a partner is like finding a needle in a haystack for both, but the throughput for one sex is faster than the other, they're going to find it faster.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 07:04 PM
1

No no, that is exactly the point. If you give an average man 50 average options to choose from he’ll not struggle at all to find one and be happy. Not whatsoever. If you give an average woman 50 options all of a sudden it’s an impossible task. What the fuck is the issue ladies?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:17 PM

Sure, I just meant getting the commitment is not difficult. The three month mark and the two year mark is usually make or break. If you don’t have your shit sorted by then you probably won’t ever.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:13 PM

Guess I’d just need to find the 1 in 10 then huh. Shouldn’t be difficult if I’m getting 100 matches a day.

1

I’ll say it again, if you can’t find a few people to date out of a pool of 50, when you’re nothing special yourself, you are the issue. Do you know how ecstatic an average dude would be to have 50 women to choose from?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 03:25 PM

Well no and a good person wouldn’t really count it as friendship, that’s kind of my point. The guys at least somewhat mean well, it’s not even just sex but unrequited love to an extent. I guess I have yet to meet a guy who wanted to be friends and wasn’t just trying to get sex Yeah, sorry. If not for sex men probably wouldn’t even associate with women. It’s the ugly truth. For example I do want a wife and kids someday, but take those off the table and the person I were choosing to be my life par…

There’s not near enough nuance for an average woman, not even a hot one, to look at a random sample of 50 dudes and say “yeah no I’m better than every single one of you”. Gtfo with that.

Most men in their prime dating years are single, yes, and only about half of those are even looking because they’ve given up.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 03:05 PM
1

Really? You don’t think that? Every single female friend I have (who I don’t want to sleep with, because I don’t find them attractive) has guys friends that do want to sleep with them. They know this, and they even use it to their advantage. he’s just staring at your body while nodding That’s a pretty blatant caricature of how men are even when they want to sleep with someone. The guys I know above are super attentive.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 03:04 PM
2

I don’t know many young women with fewer than that and I’m assuming the distribution is random. For the sake of argument let’s assume she only has 50 single male followers. She is average. None of those are worthy of dating? I do not buy that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:59 PM

It’s so rich that you think this is difficult.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:47 PM

Assuming a 50/50 gender split, 250 dudes, if there aren’t at least 50 in there that are enough to meet the standards of an average woman then she is the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:46 PM

a man doesn’t make a better friend than a woman He does if you’re okay with him wanting to sleep with you, or on the rare occasion that he doesn’t want that even better.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:45 PM
3

I don’t buy it. I could put up a profile of myself with the female filter on and have a boyfriend tonight if I wanted, and I by no means would make a pretty girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:40 PM

You knew what they wanted and accepted the friendship and still got something out of it. That’s on you, not on the dudes trying to hit.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:29 PM

Assuming it’s a random woman blasting it to her following of say 500 people which is not even high for most young women, most of them would be decent people and already have some common connection. Why would they not be?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:28 PM
5

Women have their own dating issues, no doubt about it, but it’s objectively easier. Paralysis by analysis sucks but at least most women have the luxury of having choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:22 PM
1

A placeholder boyfriend is a fine description, I think that’s probably a big reason, because there’s a lot that men do in relationships that isn’t at all sexual in nature. You just admitted that yourself. There’s nothing that women can do for men in relationships that isn’t sexual or that a guy friend couldn’t do better. Aside from that, probably the lack of competition and psychological warfare that even extremely close female friends like to spring on each other on occasion.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:13 PM
10

Why would you be talking about all age groups? 40 and up is more or less irrelevant to this discussion, the higher you go the more boomers who got married back when dating wasn’t a complete dumpster fire skew your numbers.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:07 PM
1

Because it’s not bi-directional. Lots of women love having male friends. The inverse is not true except when there’s a small possibility that sex is on the table.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 01:55 PM
1

Somebody already asked me that. It’s self-evident and I’d say you’re lying to yourself if you think it isn’t. For what it’s worth though I think you’re right about why men keep women as friends when they do it, men don’t want women as friends unless they’re a chance they can fuck them. I think that says more about women than it does about men though. If sex is off the table why bother, there’s better connection to be had elsewhere without the drama.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 01:36 PM
13

Absolutely not. Any average women could put up an Instagram post saying “hey, I’m single, dm me” and be absolutely inundated with messages from really decent dudes in 15 minutes. Women’s dating struggles are their own, for men dating is like a job application.

It’s not femininity that men look down on, it’s lack of any enjoyment or utility. Edit: skincare is a good example of something with absolutely zero utility to men. Most men have better skin than most women and we do it without any skincare. Probably hormonal, but the point remains. There’s no utility in it for us.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:41 AM

Doubtful. I get along with women, they’re just not good people. The common denominator is the X chromosomes homie.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:38 AM

Why would you not? And why then are so many women okay with male interests? Is it that men just have better interests then?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:36 AM

The experience of not approaching is the norm, like I said. Most men don’t approach. If they did they might be surprised with how easy it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:36 AM

It doesn’t really matter, just enough to offer my number.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:35 AM

Why would interests in friendships be slanted exclusively towards men? If it came down only to interests you’d see a lot of men interested in only having women as a friends too. It should be bi-directional, but it isn’t. The women who have more male friends than female will straight up tell you it’s because women are harder to get along with.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:33 AM
1

Now you get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:26 AM
6

No, that’s not what I said. Most women have more female friends than male, but still have male friends. Some women have almost exclusively male friends though. Most men don’t have a lot of female friends, not to the extent that women have male friends, and next to no straight men have exclusively female friends. In general men seem to make better friends than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:25 AM

I’m happy for you. So do I. This is about population level trends though.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 04:17 AM

Well you wouldn’t, would you? Why do you think it’s common for some women to tend towards having more male friends while men almost universally tend toward having more male friends? Women are just not as easy to get along with on average.

Sadly women will treat everybody that way sometimes, that's just part of their nature. Although yeah if she finds you ugly you'll never be treated any way except that way, so I guess being attractive does get you some respite.

Why the fuck would it be a good thing that women will send men they're not attracted to pity messages only to likely ghost them? Or worse, settle for him, have a few kids, then 10 years later fuck one of her coworkers in her husband's bed. It is not at all encouraging that women message men they don't even like. /r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 06:40 PM

That's all pick-up is, talking to strangers. The less attached and pick-upy it is the better in fact. MLM Yeah and ironically for you MLM wouldn't exist if a lot of people didn't buy into it. It works.

I'll start by saying I'm a definite outlier in terms of how much success I've had. N-count somewhere around 30, been in and out of relationships since I was 16, some good some bad. Success is not an issue, I always know there's something around the corner. In spite of that though, I fucking loathe dating. It's very hard to date as a man, even a decently attractive one, and not become convinced that the vast majority of women are just terrible people who have absolutely no concept of humility.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 06:35 PM
1

I've literally been on dates with shitty obnoxious feminists that I met at the park via cold approach. Even the women who say they hate men are usually receptive to polite conversation with a stranger they find attractive. The caveat is most of them aren't necessarily going to find you attractive and you need to learn how to take a no gracefully.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 06:24 PM

You are not too busy to talk to a stranger you see at a coffee shop that you were at anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 06:20 PM

Just because something isn't likely to work the majority of the time isnt reason not to do it. If that were the case every single swipe on a dating app would be not worth it because statistically most men match with fewer than 1% of their right swipes. Your second point about having a better chance on online dating is way off the mark to begin with, most men would be way better off meeting people in person than online because so much of female attraction is non-visual. Success rate is going to b…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 05:45 PM

That is fortunately not for you to decide. It's not a crime to talk to strangers, and most are less shitty than you.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 05:43 PM

Why? That's how every generation before us met, and the odds of finding that even today is a lot higher than through online dating for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 05:42 PM

It’s a numbers game just like other forms of dating, however if you know your league it’s a lot less of a numbers game than online dating is. It’s more of a 1 in 10 thing vs 1 in 1000.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 04:52 PM

Yes, absolutely at that expense. I’m not going to sacrifice the future I want (a wife and kids) for making a stranger uncomfortable for 10 seconds.

If you think it’s 5% then I don’t think you know many men, or at least perhaps any average men. You also shouldn’t conflate any level of success with difficulty. If your guy friends have gfs that’s awesome and all, but you’d still need to ask them what dating was like to get a good read. /r/PurplePillDebate13/04/22 03:33 PM
18

Yeah OP was expecting everyone here to say they hate their moms. She’s punching air right now cause she can’t handle the possibility that a lot of red pilled dudes are just normal guys who were raised by awesome women and are just now frustrated with how rare it is to find other awesome women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/22 03:23 PM

That’s just slang people use when they describe their issues, you’re reading much too far into it. Read his second reply to OP, all he’s been doing this entire time is pointing out how difficult it is for women to support men.

So why are you doubling down on this bullshit? 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/22 04:42 AM

He isn’t comparing romantic partners to his mother, he’s comparing their tolerance of his flaws to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/22 04:40 AM
13

So I’ll ask again, men wanting to have their flaws tolerated = mommy issues why? You’re writing a lot of words without explaining how that computes. This guy isn’t saying he wants to date his mom, he’s saying he’s surprised when women tolerate nothing less than perfect. Why shouldn’t men want a partner that loves them in spite of their flaws?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/22 04:36 AM

So where did he imply he wants another mother just because he said he’s surprised when women aren’t as caring and patient as his mom can be?

Negotiating your life isn’t supposed to be easy, whether you do it alone or with someone else it’s going to be uncomfortable if you do it well. The biggest issue most single people have is not having someone to push them out of their comfort zone a little, where growth and fulfillment occurs.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/22 03:51 PM

I’ve never had any issues with women being afraid of me that I know of. I think what rubs people the wrong way is that the vast majority, over 99% of men, pose no threat to anyone. So yes, while it should be women’s responsibility to protect themselves, being on high alert all the time seems pretty silly. Easier said than done when you’re small and half as strong as even the weakest men though, so I get it, but I still think it’s a symptom of neuroticism that doesn’t benefit anyone. The one thin…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 08:29 PM
3

Again, you’ve ignored everything I’ve said about the fact that there are unique male issues that contribute to this largely. You’d rather we only focus on the economy because it benefits women too. Typical.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 08:26 PM

And? Yes, men are facing a mental health crisis because for the last 3 decades or more they’ve been taught they’re unimportant and disposable at best and intrinsically predatory at worst. Shocker.

I’ve told you what they are many times over. I don’t think it’s anyones fault. I think it’s evolutionary. Women have intrinsic value to the species whereas men do not. This reflects socially. Classic woman move to just ignore and move on though. Take care.

I’m not opposed to a better and more equitable economy, I don’t know what gave you that impression simply because I said there are issues unique to men that a better economy will not fix. Like I said though, I’m not surprised you’d rather not deal with those things and would rather we do something that includes women too, even though there’s no reason we can’t do both. The majority of men are not struggling exclusively because of those things, and they’re not even necessarily the root cause. Being in a terrible financial situation sucks but it’d be more tolerable if people in general cared. I grew up extremely poor but it never mattered so much because my family was supportive. A lot of people don’t have even that, and that applies to the millions of men leading lives of quiet desperation who aren’t struggling financially, but to whom the feeling of complete w…

If you think our media, all forms, is not wildly gynocentric at the moment I’m not really sure what to say, because that level of ignorance is hard for me to grasp. All I’m saying is society would be a much better place if men and their voices were respected and given the same platform as women’s are now. It’s important that the other 50% of our population feels important, don’t you think? Men don't need ass pats. They need a living wage. Better working conditions. The ability to afford a home. …

A lot of men are raised and socialized without that in mind though and will go through most of their teenage years underestimating just how important it is and worse how easy it is to improve. Those are the formative years and if you fuck those up it can be a major problem. TRP is for the most part just open acknowledgment that the modern game is rigged against men unless they actively work against it. The major differentiator is that it draws on evolutionary principles and research to make the …

While those things are essential, they’re not quite as essential as the things I listed. If hospitals close the sick and the elderly die. If the power grid goes down or the supply chain fails a lot more people die. It’s not really fantasizing, it’s just a “what if” thing that we should be asking. It would be bad, so it’s worth thinking about how likely it is and how we can avoid it. But yes, I do think it’s also important to acknowledge the extreme importance of men in society. Very few people a…

I know, but they said everyone not familiar with these subs is doing just fine. I’m just demonstrating that’s not the case, and that there are subs with several times more people having these exact same issues. That’s usually for religious reasons, and that’s exactly why religions tightly reinforce monogamy. The west is now secular, so while people are technically free to engage in something, they’re often not able to. It’s the difference between being told “You shouldn’t do this until you achieve X” and “You should do this, everyone around you is doing it, and if you aren’t you’re a loser”. When people have a clear goal they’ll work towards it, but men having issues with dating usually don’t understan…

Men do the vast vast majority of hard labour and infrastructure maintenance that keeps society running. Construction, electricity, water and waste management, etc etc. If for some reason enough men decide that they don’t care about keeping the lights on we can kiss the whole thing goodbye. I don’t see that happening personally because we’ll reach a point where fewer and fewer jobs are actually required to maintain those things, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if it did, slowly. The reason most women think they give good head while actually being bad at it is that you have to tell them they’re amazing at it or they just won’t do it. I find this applies to more than just sex as well. I’ve been in a lot of relationships and the number of times I’ve heard a partner say “I was wrong, I’m sorry” is vanishingly small. I did couples therapy once with a woman that I at one time was planning to propose to and immediately after one of the sessions where the therapist forced her to do some introspection she broke up with me. I can confidently say I will never marry until I find someone who is consistently accountable for themselves.

What about the existence of those subs makes BDSM in general misogynistic? Misogyny is the hatred of women. If I perform a sex act with a woman that takes immense trust on her part and which in her eyes no other sex act can compare to on an intimate level, how is that misogyny?

I'm into BDSM but I wasn't until one of my exes introduced me to it. Took a bit of getting used to. I don't really watch much porn anymore but when I do it's usually pretty tame. In my own sex life though I try to involve my partners in it when they're comfortable. It's weird labelling certain porn as "misogynistic" given that women are the primary consumers of such porn and that even if that weren't the case nothing about it implies any disdain for the women involved.

I didn’t ignore it, I directly explained everything to you in that comment. Aside from that one you haven’t made a single valid point, hence why now I ignore it and repeat. If all women are still turning you down you are still doing something wrong and the only thing to do is keep the path, that’s the only answer. Not writing some screed about how terrible they all are and then expecting them to flock to your genitals like flies. Black pillers are goofy man I swear.

It’s not vague, I think I’ve made it abundantly clear that I think OPs shitty attitude towards women is probably his issue. I think OP's point though was that modern women aren't much of a prize for men I don't read it that way. Not really, not based on that study I posted nor on my personal experience. The maybe you're autistic and perhaps always have been because the issue isn't with just your physique. In a vacuum if you're talking to women properly and change nothing else except adding 50 lbs of mostly muscle you're going to get more dates and with hotter women. They're never going to come to you, you still have to do the work.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 11:35 PM
10

It does though, it's not an all or nothing. If you're a puny twig but at least you're talking to women and then you go work out for 2 years and put on 50 lbs you're going to get more dates and with hotter women. If you're that same puny twig and put on 50 lbs but never talk to anyone in either state then doesn't exactly prove what you think it does.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 11:33 PM

Not really, it’s probably closer to 50/50 given how big a difference having big lats and deltoids can make visually and even then it’s a moot point since your only point of comparison should be yourself. Look at Andre Vaillant as an extreme example of someone with well developed lats and deltoids but isn’t exactly a marvel by skeletal structure alone.

It’s a pretty common misconception that after the growth plates fuse that your bones stop ‘growing’. They can still grow in thickness and diameter as a response to muscle activity and stress, although no certainly not indefinitely. Although that particular sentence I was referring more to the placement of the scapula in response to muscle growth, not the size of the scapula itself. The scapular-clavicular girdle is mostly floating and only has one “hard” insertion on the sternum, so the muscle a…

No, I’m saying I would never willingly commit to a woman before it becomes clear that I need to for her to stay in my life. I plan to get married some day but if I could have it my way that would never enter the equation. The male and female imperative run counter to each other, and commitment to me (and most men with lots of options) is an unfortunate means to an end.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 06:17 PM
1

You can have an emotional bond without commitment, and most women are cool with that unless you’re a loser or until the time comes where she wants to lock you down. But the commitment in and of itself runs counter to the general male imperative. Men who get excited to commit to women have usually never experienced a healthy FWB relationship where you get literally everything you need.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 06:12 PM
28

Nope. This has been published on extensively. Most of the variance in male bodily attractiveness is due to cues of upper body strength. Not a single woman surveyed found weaker looking men more attractive than stronger looking men in this study. 160 college aged women and not one liked weaker dudes. That’s about as unanimous as it gets. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29237852/ As for your individual case, “looking healthy” doesn’t mean shit. You’re probably skinny fat. /r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 06:09 PM

No they are not. Your literal scapula to scapula width is genetic (mostly, but even this will change as your muscles grow) but having bigger lats and deltoid makes you look much wider. That’s what people mean when they say “broad shoulders”.

Men who desire commitment to fulfill an emotional need are usually just men who women aren’t willing to put up with without commitment. The only true reason for men to commit is because it’s the only real way to have and raise kids properly, has nothing to do with what the commitment in and of itself can actually do for someone.

Because men are not sexually hypergamous, they’re sexually polygynous. Every piece of data on human mate choice indicates this divergence between men and women. David Buss among others has a huge body of research on it. If women are hypergamous shouldn't they cheat as much if not more than men ? They do, if you go by most recent published data. But no, cheating has nothing to do with hypergamy. You’d actually expect women to cheat less because men are the polygynous ones, meaning given access ou…

If the guy can get a 7 then he also can and will usually take a 5 when he can get it. Men have a much larger range that they date within, and it’s not just out of horniness. In women you don’t see that, if they know they can get a 7, they will only date 7s. Now hypergamy would mean there is no such thing as love. Which would mean a woman would le…

Makes sense to me. Since the general rule of thumb is that provisioning usually occurs more in the direction of man to woman it could be argued that anxiety in women increases strain due to demanding more, while anxiety in men could result in them giving more. The cost of relationship anxiety would be different in those relationships where thats the norm. So for example, an anxious woman might expect a grand gesture on Valentine’s Day and if she doesn’t get it that would cause strain. Meanwhile …

Not a huge gap? Women are over 2.5x as likely to have only ever ended relationships (7% vs 19%) and almost half as likely to have only ever been dumped (21% vs 12%). Those are just the tails of the spectrum and they represent a combined 4x probabilistic difference in who’s doing the dumping.

What about it? In the context of third parties witnessing it and developing trauma it would fall under verbal abuse where one party is obviously the victim. Children aren’t traumatized when one parent texts the other a video of them fucking their neighbour, but they might be if they see the emotional reaction to it.

I believe that conscious life is worth trying to save even though it also means people must consciously suffer at times. I don’t know what’s confusing about that.

Yes, thankfully most people do not use such a cowardly reason to justify their dislike of children.

And so would be the miracle of conscious life.

Violence or verbal threats that are one-sided and cause the other to reasonably fear for their safety tend to cause the most trauma in kids. Even though it’s technically possible or even likely for both parties to be abusive at once it’s not often as traumatizing unless there’s an obvious victim.

Often times they do, yes. People that struggle with mental illness, myself included, can be their own worst enemy. I’m not ignoring everything bad, the world is a violent and beautiful place, I think you’re just ignoring that anything can be good.

Why are you choosing to be miserable on their behalf as if it’s already a foregone conclusion? Your ideology is a non-starter for a happy life to the point that you apply it to others as well. Chin up ma boi.

Unless it was marred by literal abuse, which I think we all agree is bad, seeing your parents argue only tends to have the opposite effect. It indicates that some level of argument is the norm. Only emotionally stunted teenagers would legitimately avoid relationships because they’ve seen their parents fight and don’t want to risk having their feelings hurt. I’m almost certain that’s an idea that has infiltrated young peoples minds from somewhere outside the household, or it’s the opposite, that …

Of course there is. It’s an undisputed fact in relationship psychology, marriage notwithstanding. If you want to verify it go ahead, you won’t have very much difficulty.

Choosing not to have kids because the world is a bad place isn’t a thing, it’s a meme that cowardly people use to justify their cowardice. Don’t get me wrong, there are lots of reasons to not want kids, but I don’t buy that’s one of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 10:49 PM

That would be an exceptionally pathetic reason not to take relationships seriously in my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 10:48 PM

It usually depends on the content being negotiated for. If you’re arguing over what to eat, probably shouldn’t be hostile. If you’re arguing over one spouse wanting to take a position elsewhere which would mean uprooting the family, things tend to get more serious. Obviously it’s important that both people do their best to regulate their emotions or at least make amends if anger does end up prevailing for a time. Anger, not abuse. Significant difference.

No, something as simple as being hopeful and living with purpose instead of being anti-human and nihilistic will do.

Unless you want kids. Then you have to be willing to put them through the suffering the world brings. I'm not sure what you're not understanding about that.

Yes, absolutely it is.

Sadly there's no way to asimov your way past the decades of suffering that the entire collapse of humanity would cause when small corrective actions are enough to prevent it.

People who do not want others to suffer unnecessarily. Unnecessarily being the key word. Some suffering is necessary to prevent other worse suffering. Like the end of the human race for example. That's a level of suffering I'd like to think we should avoid.

"have kids even though you can not picture a good life for them." Is terrible advice. That's not the advice I gave. I said every parent necessarily subjects their children to the world and all of its horrors voluntarily. There is no other alternative, unless you're willing to take that to its logical end and lock your kids up in the basement drip-feeding them pablum their entire life.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 08:43 PM

Well yes obviously you'd want there to be some respite. If all the negotiating is nothing but hostile and there's nothing you yourself can do to change that then yes absolutely it's an issue. I believe marital researchers have found 5:1 to be the golden ratio. You need about 5 positive experiences for every 1 negative experience or breakdown occurs. Interestingly the breakdown happens in either direction. Without any negative experiences things become stale and boring and someone will get sick o…

Not necessarily. You just focus on the things you can control. If you're having issues dating, improve yourself and you'll have an easier time. You build yourself, then your family, then your broader community, etc. It's really not that difficult to make the world a better place, it just doesn't have the immediate society-wide impact people usually want before they've considered themselves to have made a contribution. Here's an example. My grandparents were subsistence farmers, they never amount…

Assuming he wants kids in the first place, have the kids. If you want kids you have them, you don't try to justify not having them by worrying what the world will do to them. A parent necessarily subjects their children to the world and all the pain that will cause them voluntarily, that is always the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 08:24 PM

Why isn't it normal? You're negotiating a life together. That's going to cause a lot of tension if not outright hostility at times.

I think we have long overstayed our welcome on this planet. That's about as anti-human as it gets. If you truly believed this you'd be doing as much as you could to speed the process up, but I don't believe you're capable of that so instead you just resort to pessimistic bullshit online. I wouldn't want to subject my kids to the inevitable struggle for resources like water etc. So you'd substitute millions of other peoples children so they can be the ones to starve instead yeah? That's about wha…

What do you disagree with? The fact the most relationships are ended by women or the likelihood that the proportion of the ones being ended for bad reasons would be similar? There's no good reason to assume otherwise. wouldn't that simply say that men are the ones doing damage to the relationship? Absolutely not. It is exceptionally rare that a relationship fails due to the actions of only one of the parties. It's rare that someone breaks up because they're at fault Nobody ever believes they're …

Yeah, I don't know exactly what's causing it but it seems like people in my generation just don't know how to try any more. The amount of shit that I've seen my parents go through would traumatize most young people I know (It traumatized me that's for god damn sure) but they're still together and still love each other probably more now than ever. It used to be relatively well-understood that couples will fight a lot and hurt each other a lot throughout their time together, and that it was not on…

Hypergamy isn't the issue, promiscuity is. Promiscuity destroys the beneficial aspect of hypergamy by making it non-monogamous and leaves only the cost.

Why are you focusing on women as if it doesn't apply to men? The vast majority of relationships are ended by women. Even if the the ones that could be classified as a 'premature' ending are roughly proportional that's a lot more women ending good relationships for bad reasons than the reverse.

The number of people playing the game and losing is growing, that's the issue. The family unit is the backbone of society as we know it. If we don't keep the baby train going this whole thing crumbles in less than two generations.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 07:32 PM

As far as I can tell this is one of the major issues plaguing this generation and it's going to get real messy as the family structure continues to collapse. I'm not entirely sure what caused this to happen but for anyone who values a relatively safe and productive society this should be a concern.

Like what? Show me a direct example. If you could please also then cross-reference which part of red pill theory supports that particular conclusion. There is no part of red pill 'theory' that concludes men should hate women or see them in a negative light. None. Lots of men who follow that theory use it to justify their hateful predispositions which are usually the result of inadequacy but that's just standard human error and projection. If the red pill is bad because some men use it to justify…

Yeah no problem. This is something that before probably the year 2010 was just common knowledge, but somehow third-wave feminists have gaslit men (all of society really) into believing past sexual history is not a good indicator of someone's ability to have a successful relationship. Until just recently it was quite normal for men and women to pair up much younger and with far fewer previous sexual partners. That’s part of the reason why the institution of marriage is dying. Outside of it just not being necessary from a utilitarian standpoint anymore, most new marriages are not built to last just based on the level damage people in modern society do to their psyche beforehand. The data on marriage success and sociosexuality indexes is pretty clear on that. As levels of promi…

No, because that’s not a logically consistent way of framing the “value” in question. The value of chastity to a man is knowing that if they get together she will be loyal and the kids they have will be his. You’re viewing that value as though it’s a given she’s going to be passed around eventually. If she gets with one man and stays with him that is as high as it’s going to get, it decreases on the exit from a relationship not on the entry.
