Most of them aren’t struggling with mental health issues or social skills, though. Come on. And even if they are, this isn’t really an excuse. I do have mental health issues as well and one of the most important things you can do about them - is take accountability for your actions. Those issues may explain why I did some stuff in the past, but they don’t excuse it and don’t make me not required to make amends for what I did.

Depends who you date. That’s not my experience as a woman. I don’t police my partner’s friends because ultimately - if he wants to cheat, me trying to do that won’t change anything. I honestly think it depends on what company you are lucky to keep (and I repeat - it’s often down to luck). I was always in male dominated environments, because of schooling, studying and work (I have always went to schools with more focus on maths and physics, went to engineering school and work in tech).
