Not judging you at all. That is a hard situation. You know you have a problem and you have started trying to find a way to recover. Gym is a good move. I’d try to find something for after the gym too. I read alot and that helps me take my mind off things. But that’s just me. Running can be really empowering. Set a goal like 5K or marathon.

You should be able to do alternative service by putting a notice in the local newspaper. Check with your family court.

I’d be more concerned about that guy. Don’t move away. Stay close and make sure your kids are okay. Seriously don’t be selfish here your kids need you.

God is good. I am happy for you finding your way back to Him. Every really big mistake in my life can be linked to me ignoring Gods word.

I’m sorry you are going through this. I remember how hard it was to get over a divorce when you didn’t want it. I too spent years depressed about a divorce. My advice is to try to control your thought life. It’s a vicious cycle you remember you get depressed repeatedly. I read a book The Power of Now and it really helped me. Another thing that helped me was running. There is just something so empowering about being able to run. It’s like if I can run a half marathon I can do anything. I still ru…

If the court filing fees in your area are $350 then there is no way some website can do it for $170. I’ll be the voice of disagree here too. If you and your wife have a chance at reconciling I would absolutely try especially if you have kids. Of course it takes two to want to reconcile.

First you need to carefully read the document you were served. It will tell you how long you have to respond and other important information. Secondly you should check your area’s family court website. There should be information about the process there. I disagree with the advice to drag things out as long as possible. The process is very hard on people emotionally and financially. I personally would rather compromise than go through a long fight. That said if your ex has a goal to hurt you or …

Understand that. Make sure your attorney does ONLY family court law. Attorneys are like doctors they specialize and an attorney who does everything is NOT the expert you need.

You will probably do just as well representing yourself.

Sorry that’s just hard stuff. Hang in there it gets better. I found running very therapeutic myself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
