Hair tied under the beret! No jewelry, no nails, no makeup or perfume. Working in healthcare or food services or the military. The same standards are applicable to both sexes. Use proper comparison with these things! Use reasonable logic for similar jobs! Then, apply the his/her bias. Usually works out in the end. Basic biology is the instinctive drive for the alpha, the biggest best provider, and in the scenario given, would she see him as alpha and be deemed worthy of her care and concern. No, that and lots of conditioning towards men as the enemy. Dehumanizing that male even further in her eyes. I have had sisters' niece's girlfriends and now a wife.
