Please believe me, not all women think this way. I'm a woman, but I really don't understand, why people should be divided into men and women, not into bad and good people. Are we supposed to "say about" every atrocity and crime happening anywhere in the world or is this privilege given only to men?

Yes, absolutely

I don't argue with you. I could add the possibility of being abused by a casual partner and other risks including pregnancy to the list of the negatives. But still there are some women who enjoy it. Besides the majority of women whom I know, use casual sex as a strategy for searching for a suitable long-term partner or for recharging self-esteem after break up/while staying in a bad relationship.

According to the research mentioned in the article for "casual partners, the rate is just 49 percent." I know many women who enjoy casual sex. Orgasms are not their primary motivation and they enjoy what I truly dislike about casual sex. I actually posted another comment about it and now repeat myself.

Could I ask you what sources you use? My experience says different, haha

I know plenty of women of different age groups who are very enthusiastic about casual sex. They don't approach casual sex pragmatically - the fantastic sex and colorful orgasms are not the main motivation. I mean possible dissatisfaction doesn't stop the women from carrying on. Often this activity is connected with validation, risk, adrenaline, novelty, dopamine boost of feeling alive and desired. All cons highlighted in the OP become pros when a woman is looking for excitement from unpredictabi…

I agree with your OP. However, to be honest, what % of women orgasm every time having sex with their regular male partners? Based on the available data it's less than 30% anyway.

I didn’t get what you meant by "everybody knew". I also read Nine and a Half Weeks: A Memoir of a Love Affair by Ingeborg Day. Twice. I read Marquise de Sade. Did I like it? From the sexually arousing point of view - neither the former, nor the latter, but from the literary one - yes. The problem with FSOG is not BDSM, but its characters and the fact that it's written poorly. There is no depth, no logic, not even a slightest hint of humour. But the marketing was great. I don't read books with se…

Not when it was just published. I read it in a different language, not English. It was an unknown author, an unknown book. On it's hard cover it was written that the book is the best book about love ever written. By the way, I didn’t buy it. Skimmed it online. Can I ask you a question? I need it for my essay. As a man, what don't you like in the genre? And what don't you like in the male protagonists? What erotic books do you enjoy or could recommend? I'm interested in the male point of view, so…

Unfortunately, you can't read a book before you buy it. Only after reading it could you form an opinion. The fact that so many copies were sold doesn't mean the book was taken seriously by most women. I've heard about group readings. When the girls make a 50 SOG night and read it aloud to laugh at the twists and sex scenes. However, some hard fans strongly believe it's a love story.

Read doesn't mean enjoy or like. FSOG was a successful marketing example, not a piece of good erotic/porn literature. It was so heavily advertised, that it was impossible not to look into it. Honestly, I've skimmed it to form an opinion. It was one of the worst books I've ever touched. Disappointingly bad. However, I've had lots of fun reading the reviews.

Could you please explain, in your opinion, what's the difference between male pov and female pov? What is straight male sexuality? I'm not interested in 50 Shades kind of prose, but recently, I had to look through several books, written by female authors. I must say, I was very disappointed by the quality. The characters and sex scenes are rather ridiculous and comical, repetitive and boring. One of the books was about a dominant and jealous porn-and-hotel-industry-magnat-27-years-old who slept …

Sadly, I must agree. I used to raise two children - one of my own and another of my mother-in-law. Never again. I can't believe I was so brave and risky to do it in the first place. It doesn't mean I don't like men at all, absolutely not, I just think my autonomous life is much better and complete. For the last couple of years I've met plenty of married women with several kids, who have left their husbands for other women. I understand, I'm being biased and there are many wonderful husbands arou…
