While I generally agree I’d also add to network while doing the boot camp and hopefully line up a job before you finish. Some boot camps help with this too. The IT space is heavily saturated with candidates for just about every role imaginable. If you can meet someone that can help get your foot in the door then that will help so you can work right when finishing up school.

The hobby I was referring to is PC Building / Gaming. I just recently finished my first liquid cooled system and have been enjoying learning and customizing and tweaking it to work just perfectly.

Honestly until I saw your post I hadn’t even thought of it. I work graveyards and sleep during the day (usually up by 2pm) so that helps pass some of the day. I’m enjoying time spent on a hobby and it helps keep my mind engaged which is good. Don’t get me wrong I’ve wondered how Valentines Day would go several times earlier in the week. Keeping busy and leaning on my support system have been my go to options. Best of luck to everyone out there. Stay strong and keep smiling. :)

I have some similarities with my situation. It seems you are looking forward to a better future which is great. Keep it up!

Been divorced just about 2 months. I didn’t ask for or want it and was willing to work it out. Now I choose to cut off my ex-wife completely and not have any communication. I know more or less that she’ll probably not care nor have any regrets (she is very narcissistic in nature). She has been on a “I’m better than you” pedestal for much of our relationship as I was manipulated and blamed into thinking all that went wrong was my fault. She made her choice and I’m moving on. I don’t care to go ba…

Go get a lawyer and start protecting yourself legally and financially! I would personally hate to have to pay alimony in this kind of situation. The fact that she got with you to get papers I’d make sure to mention to your lawyer too! Good luck and hang in there. 👊🏻👍🏻

First off, good luck, hang in there and remember to smile. You’ve got this! My wife asked for a divorce about a month ago. She too said she wanted a peaceful separation. We own a home together and that has made things challenging. I’m no lawyer (would recommend you doing at least a consult if you can find the money to do so) but if where you live is similar to Utah than the court would look at separating marital property in an equitable (not necessarily 50/50) manner. From how I understand thing…

Married only a few months? I’d talk to a lawyer but wouldn’t be surprised if where you live you can just get an annulment.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
