Thank you, exactly right. We forget who we are and marry for all of the wrong reasons which usually just caters to their wants and desires. We get told that the wife's emotions and feelings are the only thing that is of value and we should only cater to their needs. Grow into a shell of ourselves and get left when we are mentally in shambles. And are expected to just accept and move on. It's easy!

That's sad that that is becoming a "regular" thing. No one wants to try anymore, just give up and move on to the next. Sexual nomads

Just remember, like you she's human. And no matter how disgusting she acted and maybe continues to do so, all the control you never had with her is now in YOUR hands in how you act and react to it. It's hard, trust me the betrayal is real and it's a very real pain, but when you learn that humans are what they are, it becomes easier. She's not a vile disgusting succubus, she's just a human woman. And that she doesn't have that "power" over you anymore, you are your own man, and you can change you…

Very true words, we are done getting hurt and standing by while we are called bad people because the marriage ended

I feel your resilience brother. It's hard to open your eyes to the truth of what the relationship is now and what it was. It makes the relationship seem so vain and pointless. Honestly, it's all real to them and to us, but the light switch effect takes place and that love is "magically" gone. We can be so selfless to those we love sometimes we get caught up in it to not realize how much we actually were used. I'm sure that there are some decent hearted women out there, it just seems at least in …

Lol, they're the victims after all! Every man is the devil and a woman do no wrong! She's the only one with valid feelings or even any feelings for that matter. Her needs are the one that matters if you don't immediately look after her needs you're a shitty person and man. "Happy wife, happy life" There are people that actually say and mean this shit. Can't make it up!

Lol, women have this problem where the cannot see out of the scope of themselves. Especially, in dealing with people they no longer love. You are an inconvenience to her now, and she's going treat as such. Believe me, it's hard for us guys because a lot of the time we still have feelings for them, they see us as nothing but a stranger or worse. Take care of yourself, and make for damn sure you take care of your needs and what's best for your kid. If she wants to move that far away? Cool, now you…

I hate to break it to you, when you deal with someone like a "true" narcissist, then there's no hope. Frankly, however, there a lot of people who are considered narcissist and actually aren't, not to say that's the case here, she may very well be. You just have to self assess and determine in your own whether it's worth, no stranger can determine your situation for you. That in itself is dangerous. I wish you the best my friend.

Yeah, it just sucks that it takes all the heartache and torment to realize. I wish it was easier, because most guys are selfless for their families and partners. I think this whole "perception" from society about male privileged is BS frankly. Most guys get the shit end of the stick, and really are happy to do it, because it's our biological function.

I hate to break it to most guys. You're not going to get that special kind of love you seek. It's not possible for a female to convey love like we would like. They live only to serve themselves, or possible children, and they will not extend that thought towards you. It's only for you to serve them, and vie for their affections, which is only temporary and extremely conditional. Just love yourself, have self respect, and respect for others. Unfortunately, for the most part you are going to be se…

I agree with you but I don't think it's necessarily done intentionally. I think it's at primal sub conscious level, I think we as a species try to inact control over one another in some form or another. I think however woman "empowerment" has allowed them to act as if their feeling and issues are those to only be dealt with. Woman would like us to be more caring and emotional but not at the sake of their convenience. We are just things to them, they can be cold, but they're are not that calculat…

Damn straight, and the crazy thing is when we support them through their crazy shit, we get no acknowledgment. It's not a two way street anymore, they've been taught that they have absolute power and that mens feelings are not as important as their own. Through teaching individuality I think has in turn twisted the narrative to selfishness and non empathetic emotions and feelings to their partner. We really are transactional and even vows don't mean shit anymore, because that was them "at that t…

The thing is I'm not here to sling shit at her. I know I have my own problems, but at the end of the day I loved her. I thought she loved me enough to at least discuss the ending of the relationship like a grown adult, but she was and is incapable. I would've accepted and supported her in her decision. But instead, she stuck her head in the sand, and decided this whole ordeal is solely my fault. She's sticking to her narrative and that's her choice to live in ignorant misery, I'm not going to si…

It's extremely selfish, and very eye opening to how they see you. As their commodity, something to do with as you please and dispose on a whim is ok to them. I know my self worth, and I know my shortcomings. I deserved better than what happened, and now I know that no matter how great things may go, sex and love according to some people is transactional.

Man, it's crazy all the shit some guys have to do to keep the relationship afloat. The crazy thing is, it's not really all that healthy for us, so when we finally give ourselves some time, or some mental health days, now all of a sudden we are not pulling our "weight". It's like NO, I was carrying the ship, I needed you to do it for a day or two and it couldn't be done. Our shit was nothing to "their" shit, or shortcomings were much worse than their shortcomings. Honestly, I just wanted to keep …

Honestly, something similar happened to me. She has a lot of mental issues and deals with her issues in a very passive aggressive ways... that was over 10 months ago and to the this day we have not had a conversation on what happened or lead her to the decision. I'm sure I can speculate, but I feel closure is due but I'm guessing I'm not going to get it. A 12 year relationship ended on a whim and without any closure... it's fucking psychotic! But, I'm not wasting any more time crying or concerni…

Yeah, it's going to be tough because I do consider her my best friend. But honestly, a friend would not blind side me like she did, and go out of their way to make sure to not make contact with me. She couldn't stick it out during the tough times, and she's not allowed to jump in when things are going right either. Thanks for the advice though, even if it goes without saying, sometimes it's good to get reassurance in that regard

I'm financially screwed after the divorce, let's just say the money I'm saving is solely for survival purposes. Good for you though, I'm hoping to be back on my feet when I'm done with school. Funny thing is my ex wants not contact with me at the moment, but I know she's going to try to reach out to me when I inevitably graduate.

Choosing to be toxic is only going to hurt you, even though you really want to stick it to your ex. Just be your genuine self, if you were a good person to your ex, continue to be and dont let her take you to a place thats going to end up making you miserable. It fucking hurts, I got my heart stomped on by the love of my life, and she is not displaying any remorse. Oh man I wanted to get back at the world for that injustice, I literally poured my heart, soul, emotions, and finances into this rel…
