Yes I understand everything from a legal perspective, I'm just trying to wrap my mind around why it's an easy defense for a woman and basically renders her unable to make her own decisions, but somehow doesn't render a man unable to make his own decisions.

yeeeeeeep. a disgraceful double standard. I feel like this one is PPD because she WILL be found guilty just because of the amount of evidence, so we will find her identity, it's just also bullshit that she gets to hide it until then.

Wouldn't saying it was rape because she couldn't consent because she was too drunk, effectively prove that the male's brain was also altered? Because if her brain was altered and therefore unable to give consent, then it follows his does too?

My thoughts exactly! Like her's will only be released if she's convicted (which she will be, just because she's blatantly guilty and evidence stacked against her), but it's fucking stupid that those are the requirements.

yeah also - "it was rape because she was too drunk to consent even though she definitely told you she consented and had enthusiastic sex" is somehow a defense that makes consenting sex into rape, but apparently a man who is black out drunk and therefore cannot MIND READ a woman consenting to sex as somehow rape, then how come the man is liable for his actions? If a woman isn't responsible for her consenting behavior when she's black out drunk, then why is a man responsible for his behavior when …

niiiiiiiiiiiiice about time. bitches need to stop making false claims when they regret consentual sex. SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER ME THIS: If a woman cannot consent to sex if she's over 0.8BCA, and therefore cannot be liable/responsible for her actions, then how come that same defense doesn't work for a male, equally blacked out, being accused of rape? It's like the courts just glaze of that detail. If a woman can't consent if she's drunk, then a man can't be liable for his actions if he's blacke…

That's not rape, plain and simple.

no one wants to be that person that questions a sexual assault or domestic violence survivor incase they're wrong.... but as a woman this infuriates me. How is it that men's identities get to be revealed in alleged sex abuse cases, but the alleged victims identities have to stay hidden even when they're proved to be liars?

I've said this a thousand times and I'll say it until I'm dead: I'd prefer someone NOT hit me because they respect me, NOT enough I have a vagina between my legs.

This pisses me off beyond belief. When I tell people we shouldnt hit people, it's because its the wrong thing to do. I want to be NOT assaulted because it's the moral thing to do, not because I have a vagina.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
