What crime did he commit? He walked one block next to someone. In NYC, it's extremely common to be walking near someone for multiple blocks at a time. He didn't even look at the girl more than two times after the initial greeting, and none of the times did he look below shoulder-level on the girl. 1	The Problem With That Catcalling Video He wasn't initially standing there. He was walking with his phone out, turned around to stop and greet the girl. They also only walked one block. It's not uncommon in NYC for people to walk near or side-by-side for multiple blocks at a time. The director also said he left at the 6 minute mark which would put that right at the end of the block. 2	The Problem With That Catcalling Video Not to mention, they walked only one block in the video. I don't think that's long enough to be considered harassing or stalking.
