As a man that many women feel they can trust, I can confirm that some women do feel this way, and that they don't reveal this to men they can't trust.

If you agree, then what does this mean? She got them from media which are perpetually under the cosh of feminism

Spare me the condescension. Why? It's obvious that all of this is completely new to you. In every comment so far you've made glaring mistakes and then shifted the goalposts to cover it up. First noone had ever told you what specific male privileges are. I show you a list of male privileges, which apparently you've already read but you didn't agree with it or they don't apply to you (because I guess you don't buy cars? Who knows). You have some other explanation (poor negotiating skills) for the …

I read it. 40 people, one city. I'm not sure where you got the idea that there was only one such study mentioned in the post, or that any of them had 40 people. Maybe you found another study somewhere. The required sample size for a study depends on a lot of factors, it's not a matter of "that number sounds a bit low, so I can ignore this entirely". are you going to amend it to "white male privilege" now? Congratulations, you've just discovered that racism is a thing as well as sexism. Yes, "whi…

I already explained this, it's not complicated. Click one of the "(more)" links. That will take you to another page on the same site. Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will find references to journal articles you can search for. Got shafted at the car dealer? It has nothing to do with poor negotiating skills. it's male privilege. If you had read the study or even the description of it, you'd know that this was based on experiments where a man and a woman used the exact same negotiating…

Like I said, they're backed up by references. Those that aren't referenced are obvious to most men once they actually think about them. Some level of subjectivity is essential when you're talking about privilege, because privilege and oppression is something people experience. But if you choose to ignore basic facts like the references, you can't complain about lack of objectivity. Besides, the existence of this list, even if the list was total bullshit, is enough to prove you wrong about the fo…

There are lists of male privileges out there, you can look at say, this one and check the ones that apply to you. Some of them don't apply to me, for example, because I'm a PhD student so I don't have a regular job, and I don't have kids. But others do apply to me. Many of the privileges have links to separate posts about them, which are full of references.

I don't think you understand how privilege works. What kind of privileges have they "accused" you of having? Maybe we can focus on just one. I'm not apologizing for my privileges or feeling guilty for them, I'm just aware of them. Having a particular privilege makes it hard to understand what it's like to not have that privilege, so you have to ask someone. Be the lap dog they want you to be. Who's they? I'm the feminist here. I'm not being told what to do, I figured it out from a bit of researc…

Ok, I'll give up on the trolling and start arguing instead. You have to admit, it would have been awesome if you or someone else had deleted my comments.

Sounds like GMP is doing a pretty good job of silencing you without accusing you of having privilege. The weird thing is, I have lots of privilege and noone ever silences me.

You think people are pointing out that you have male privilege because they want to hear your sob stories about how unprivileged you are?

Have you tried posting comments that aren't full of shit?

all of a sudden the conversation shifts to one of a defensive argument about how the accused is NOT privileged. Or you could just, you know, admit it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
