Funny enough there was actually a "controversial" movie that got banned here that I believed criticized the act in the black community, and there was outrage (not sure from who) because it also criticized other aspects of the culture.

I was unaware of this. I don't think she blatantly lied to me but I'm guessing the infections are probably from the really dirty bathrooms they have.

You'd be surprised, this is the mentality in South Africa. And yes it is strange who is pushing for circumcision in the religious sphere. Really bizzare to see Christians push for it when circumcision isn't part of the law. There are also cultural groups who require boys to become circumcised later in life as a path to manhood.

Don't bother with university. I have a similar story where a university sided with a 'minority' student against a white student, even though the white student had overwhelming evidence. It's like daylight robbery.

Don't know if this has been said but this has been the case in South Africa for more than 2 decades. It's also enforced by the government.

Funny you mention that. Same thing with “my body my choice” but then think it’s fine to snip off sensitive skin from their child who can’t give consent.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
