Except that research in to this has shown that largely people don't abuse welfare. The idea of 'welfare queens' don't really exist on a large scale.

Hah, that's fair. I guess my attitude is not that I think I'm some god or something, but just that I've hurt people before by accidentally leading them on. And, having being led on myself enough times I know how much it sucks SO I just like to clear the air. I see where you are coming from; I feel that you're comfortable enough with reading people at this point to know when you really don't have to say anything. However it just seems mean to purposefully avoid saying something just because you w…

I'm not lying, I'm just purposefully omitting the truth so I can fuck you. I don't really agree with this attitude, personally. You don't have to go all out and tell someone you're only interested in sex and that's it. Who does that anyways? Even people looking for strictly NSA sex generally are looking for someone they get a long with, which means that they do care about a woman's personality. Personally I've never run into an issue if I just casually drop a "by the way, I'm having a lot of fun…

My metric has always been this: If things are going well, I say "I got this one, you get next time". The reason this advice is given is a bit outdated I think; it's not advising guys to just flat out refuse to pay and make a stink out of it, but just to keep dudes from thinking that paying for a girl's anything will help increase attraction. Also, I tend to go for more independent chicks that by the time we do something that needs paying for it usually ends up in a funny thing where we both try …

Three, if you do flirt, next time you see each other in person, there's this weird vibe because you've been to a level on your phone when you haven't established the same intimacy level in person. Thanks for putting this in to words. This has happened to me in the past and I couldn't quite describe why it has happened but you made it very succinct.

But if you've always had this "ugly" chip on your shoulder then 100s of approaches are just going to act as confirmation bias

By "stop giving a shit" I don't mean give up. I mean if it's something you can't change then why would you let it hurt you. Honestly at this point it seems like you're just assuming all girls will find you unattractive, which is fucking stupid. You're giving yourself the disadvantage, especially because it really seems that in actuality girls tend to be less picky about traditional good looks than guys. So stop making excuses, assume attraction, and approach.

Then change it. Or better yet, stop giving a shit about it. Do something about it other than complain on the internet. Didn't you see that guy on here a couple weeks ago that was missing a leg? Dude was killing it. Also check this out.

I don't know if I was pretending to be more fun really, just being me with an accent. It's the sort of shit I would normally try just to entertain myself, it was just funny how it ended in lesbian makeout. I do agree with the fake it til you make it thing but I would say my biggest problem isn't confidence, but in-the-moment apathy.

/r/seduction07/01/13 02:50 PM

Yup, and I plan on it although I sort of doubt it will happen. The more attractive one works at a pizza place/bar that I hang out at, but I only really go at nights and she works days. I'm also in a college town so it isn't super likely but it could happen, in which case Isaac is coming back. I need to learn a sentence in Russian so I have something to say when the inevitable "oooh say something in Russian!" shit comes up.
/r/seduction07/01/13 02:49 PM
5

Yeah, I didn't think about that, but your right. Maybe it's because I was playful and fun, and was making their lives more entertaining as well as my own.
/r/seduction07/01/13 02:14 PM
5

Thanks! It was really fucking funny to me so I think that's partially why it worked. It also felt good because this was one of those nights where you're pretty sure every bar you go to is going to be equally as dead.
/r/seduction07/01/13 02:09 PM
7

Mostly because the interaction felt finished. I can't really explain why, but the last of my friends were leaving and I honestly didn't feel too attached to these girls. I sort of wanted to leave them wanting more Isaac, and spending the rest of the night talking about who that fucking awesome dude was. Maybe I could have gone further with them, maybe not, but I do regret not gettin' dem digits.

This is why I think most of Strauss and Mystery are sometimes seen as a bit outdated around here. To begin with, I never even really consider girls in terms of numbers. I could rate them I suppose, but I think everyone's ratings are much more variable than most people realize. Sure, some girls are hot and some not so much, but I guarantee you that I could easily find someone who I considered an 8 or 9 that you might only think 6 or 7 and vice versa. And from my experience, the attractiveness of …

I question whether he could as easily land an HB8 or higher. I think his approach may work for HB7s. Be careful here. This is a limiting belief. I think most dudes on here would back me up in saying that the attractiveness of the girl does not change how you approach. In fact it shouldn't even enter in to your mind, because if it does then you're putting them on a pedestal and giving them value before they have done anything to deserve it. I think it may also depend on what kind of girls you wan…

Good job brother! Seems like your friend was a bit shitty. Not that I disagree with him about The Game; I always think that a direct approach is much better but damn he called you out hard as shit. Do magic tricks if you like them. Don't if they're just a tool to entertain women. That is not your job in pickup. Your job is to entertain yourself. If that involves doing magic for people then go for it, otherwise do what you enjoy doing. Nice job on the kiss but it seems like the girl was a bit har…

Rule #1: Always assume attraction. Always. I mean, why wouldn't she be? You're an attractive guy. My immediate thoughts would have been to look at the man after he said that exchanging numbers would have been to say something along the lines of "Whoa man, I appreciate your support but I still haven't decided if I even want this girl to have my number!" And then turned to her with a grin and been like "Yeah, so I am going to need your number now" Buttfuckit, my cleverness is only hypothetical; I …

Because it's how they describe themselves and it's the most common way to refer to them in this sub. I didn't decide that this term is what we would call these kinds of people, and I don't know why you're getting so upset over it's usage; I'm just trying to say what it usually refers to here. I agree there are better ways to describe it, although I'm not sure "beta" is specific enough.
/r/seduction14/11/12 05:02 PM

It's not calling them "nice guys" because they're actually nice. That's just how we refer to those kinds of guys for lack of a better term. I would say that most on here don't consider that kind of behavior nice at all. And really, there's no need to be so harsh, brother. It's just semantics and I think we're in agreement anyway.

He isn't talking about guys that are just nice. He's referring to that specific kind of white-knighting AFC that puts women on a pedestal and blames the fact that he's no good with women on the fact that "women are bitches and only like guys who are assholes to them"

I GOT THIS BROS I'M AN ECON MAJOR What you want to do is calculate expected value from each plan of action. Let's say that "getting the girl" is the desired result of both actions, and they both give you equal amounts of satisfaction. So, they each give you 10. 10 what you ask? Fuck if I know. Pleasure points. The point is you, as a rational agent, want to maximize the amount of pleasure points you have. So, then it just becomes mathematical. Everyone else is saying you waited too long, which I agree with, but I also think your actual message was a poor choice of words. I make it a personal rule to never just say things like "hey" or "whatsup" in texts without saying anything else. It makes it seem like you are bored and not doing anything and that's why you are texting. As a general rule, only boring people get bored. The ladder that powertheqwerty linked to is nice, but I find it a bit complex and silly for practical use. I think the rule of thumb here is that this is called escalation; it's supposed to happen relatively quickly. Push being physical all the time. Want to hold hands? Grab her hand and lead her somewhere, then don't be the first to let go. Hug when you first see her. Just go in for it like it's expected. Do it all like it's expected. Sarcasm? Arm touch. Here's how Tyler Durden Puts it: You are a value giver. You are such an great person to be around and experience, and because you are cognizant of that, you want to share that with beautiful women, in order to improve both of your lives. You never "chase" after women; you offer the value of being with you because you are a great guy and that's what great guys do. Hopefully through this you find that rare lady who is doing the same thing and a rewarding relationship happens.

I'm with imalwaysreddy the first time. If you were truly in the DGAF mindset, then it wouldn't matter if she was freaked out. You wanted to express interest in this girl and you did. Think of it this way, if James Bond messaged a lady he fancied, he wouldn't qualify all his statements with "ignore me if you want" or "not trying to be weird". He'd be all like "grab my arm while I go about being awesome." Which is what YOU are. Awesome.

I disagree. This subreddit is not about discussing looks. Most of the guys that are pretty far a long here will tell you that your physical attractiveness doesn't really matter at all. It's all about the attitude and self-esteem, because if you can do this than women are going to think you are more attractive anyway.
/r/seduction01/07/12 05:17 PM

Thank you. I swear seddit FRs that are successful are turning in to just circle jerks of AFC betas claiming that good looks is the key to success. It's just sad that so many have that mentality. But hey, more women for my average-looking ass I suppose :)

Don't listen to these guys, bro. If having a drink in your hand means the difference between having fun meeting people and being an AFC, you're doing something wrong. Drink if you want to. Don't if you don't.
/r/seduction28/06/12 09:37 PM

I think this is a bit of a terrible attitude. I know plenty of people who go to bars and don't drink; I do it myself quite often. That doesn't mean I'm only there to pick up girls; in fact, I never go to a bar with that intention. I intend on having a good time and enjoying myself. Going to a bar with the goal of picking up girls is beta behavior, because that means that you need to get girls to feel successful, and I don't need anyone else to validate me.
/r/seduction28/06/12 09:35 PM

I think OP may have meant something different by saying "not giving a shit". It's not like the whole IDGAF attitude is about not caring whether your being an asshole or whatever. It's about not being reactive to someone else's behavior. This way, when some girl your talking to says something dumb like "sorry, I'm too good looking for you..." instead of getting down on yourself you lean comically far back and give out a big huge belly laugh, because you know you are dope as fuck and what she says…

Finally a post that reminds me why I'm still coming to this sub. I couldn't believe how quickly some threads in here have been turning in to "trick suggestion" circlejerks and people spamming "this could only happen if you're attractive" on FRs. Ever since the coming here and watching the Blueprint it really makes me wish there was a word for what this sub is about that doesn't have the connotations that you mentioned.
/r/seduction07/06/12 05:11 PM

I disagree. I think even physical perception is influenced by a lot of things. A guy that doesn't have "conventional" good looks can suddenly seem very physically attractive if he has that slow-burning coal sort of confidence. You should check out the Blueprint Decoded. It isn't a beginners course by any means and yet Tyler makes a very convincing argument about how looks don't matter even one bit.

I didn't try anything and I didn't perceive enough IOIs from her to make me confident enough. You're answering your own question here. I'm a strong believer in never saying never, so I still say you have a chance, but you have to stop this kind of thinking. ASSUME ATTRACTION. Seeing IOIs is a really great thing to be able to do, but don't draw confidence from it and don't base your actions entirely on the other person. That's called being reactive, and is beta behavior. Alright, I'm not going to go in to a lot of detail on some of your questions because I think others might have some better answers, but there are a couple things I can say. The first is that it sounds like you are already doing well! Building attraction is hardly ever linear and it is always hard to gauge where her attraction level is. However, as long as you are always acting as if she is insanely attracted you can't go wrong. You'll hear assume attraction around here a lot and it really works.…

I'd agree if it had been for me, but I had already eaten luckily.

Agreed. I've been in situations where we're at my place for a bite to eat and all of a sudden the girl makes me stop cooking mid-quesadilla. Even SNLs.

Nice one, although I'm not sure this "trick" was even necessary. It sounds like you had enough attraction to just say the old "let's take this somewhere more comfortable" or even not really say anything, just pick her up cradle-style and take her where you want. You're right; it didn't matter what you said in response. as long as you didn't show any signs of non-congruence then you could have just said "ok" and pretended like you didn't even hear her words.

Nice job brother. Making us proud. One thing I would suggest: That is, the more kino compliance you get the more confident you should feel and act. This kind of confidence is good, but it would be better if you were just confident no matter what her reaction to your kino is. If you only gain confidence with compliance, you're being too reactive and drawing state from your environment rather than from the fact that you are just a cool as fuck guy. Some girls will pick up on this and put up resist…

Sometimes I'm not so sure. I love seddit and am totally addicted (especially to the FRs) but after Blueprint I feel as if some of the discussions are about doing things that are more focused on being too reactive to your environment (the girl).

I think even somewhere like a beach this way of thinking will still psyche you out. I know because I feel the same way about day game; if I went to the beach I could see myself "nah, she looks really in to that book" or "nah, she's listening to music and trying to take a nap". I think we just have to get out there and not give a shit because women want to be broken out of their routine, and we have the ability to graciously add value to their life!

Dude. You're married? You should not be going around trying to sleaze on tricks. This sub is more about self-improvement than anything else; if you want to use the suggestions on here for being a real man, you should be using them on your wife. EDIT: Woops, just read your username. I didn't mean to come off like an ass, I just assumed it wasn't an open marriage because you didn't mention it, and honestly I think this community is too good for guys that do this kind of stuff without their wives' …

These are generally pretty interesting to read, it strikes me as noteworthy that even if she had fun on the date it by no means guarantees romantic feelings on her behalf. I do however dislike the fact that she has to talk about who pays in almost everyone, and if a guy doesn't pay she writes him off. To me, for me to pay for a first date I have to genuinely believe that this girl is bringing a lot of value in to my life. I feel like that's not an easy thing to be really sure of on the first dat…

How would you pull through this "silence" test? I feel like the only good option would be to say something to the effect of "ok, I'm bored, see you around" and just leave.

I like most of these examples, but some of them are just awkward/don't make sense. Ex: GIRL: [in an elevator] “Could you press 4?” This is just like in the movies! Quick edit: I've heard it around here a bunch and have experienced this myself, but I think there's something to be said about balancing flirty responses with being direct and real. I know the examples he used are all separate from each other but if some of those were strung together you would eventually stop being flirty and start be…
