It's not really because men are more violent. Men try more effective methods of suicide like putting a bullet in their head/hanging where women try less effective methods like poison/overdosing. An unsuccessful suicide attempt can absolutely fuck up your life so I feel bad for the women, but it's just wrong to make such a blanket statement.

It used to be believed that babies, not having memories of that age, wouldn't be affected by pain coming from events of that age. They are. It has noticeable detrimental effects and isn't necessary unless a man has phimosis which the vast majority of men do not have.

I got this kind of shit volunteering in the child department of a church I'd been in 8 years. I was also 15. A new woman to the church talked to the woman in charge, not very discretely, if she could trust a teenage male to handle her girl. The woman in charge said she was also watching and the children loved me. The fact the children loved me went straight to the top and that was unacceptable. So I lost the ability to volunteer with children at the church.

This reminds me of something that happened at work. A female co-worker looked like they were having a bad day. I asked if a hug would make their day better. It looked like they needed one. I think in this case it's more distressing because it's forced upon them. I don't know that particular comic, but even if they didn't choose to have super powers, they did choose to be a super hero. Super heroes are expected to be hurt in the line of duty. They aren't expected to be raped. I also can imagine that the scene was not done very tactfully which makes it very cringe worthy.

It is. Which is why crimes of passion can be ruled manslaughter in some jurisdictions. The article isn't specific enough, but my reading is that she knew about this affair beforehand and argued in court that she was trying to kill the mistress and not her husband. I thought she was 13 when it happened and he was 16 but both of them said that the other said they were closer in age. What I don't get though is that a quick look at New York age of consent laws leads me to believe the people involved have to be more than 4 years apart for it to be statutory rape. And it would have to be statutory and not just rape the prosecution were going for because the article says that consent doesn't matter in this case.
