“He doesn’t take her shit =\= “He talks over her and treats her like a child.” Sounds like low self esteem to equate those.

Hey, if it's working out for you, and you've gotten fulfilling long-term relationships from this behavior, keep on keepin' on I guess.

He's asking about respect and so I'm talking about respect - I think it would be ridiculous to insinuate people are attracted to others just because they showed some basic respect.

Maybe they just don't like you. I dunno.

Generally, respecting the other person by not talking over them and treating them like an adult.

Respect is not the same as fear/disdain.

And that's where their issues lie. That's not really an acceptable way to figure out how to talk to people in real life, like your possible girlfriend or customer support.

Honestly, I haven’t experienced this unless it’s with people who had their careers or jobs handed to them, either from someone knowing someone or someone giving them a pass. And friends they had since childhood and their friends fucking got used to them. Look, idk. This is all anecdotal on both ends but I’ve dated creeps out of curiosity just to see how it would figure. Many of them had issues with day to day life like ordering food or requesting their waitress or fucking calling a tech support …

Yep. There’s a deeper issue here that these men literally need training on social skills, not just talking to girls.

I don't experience sexual attraction to physical attributes so I have no thoughts.

You're reading a lot into other peoples actions there, bud. If you choose to believe when people express their sorrows online that they're only trying to manipulate people and have no intention of change, that's your fault - show some optimism. But, even if that's the case, it's really hard for people to change these things because a lot of us come from terrible households and end up looking for these "familiar" people. These familiar people end up being more like our parents who treated us XYZ …

Thank you. I'm trying to get better at articulating my thoughts and opinions so I'm happy to see this :)

I see no reason to thoughtfully respond to someone who not only wants me to pity them but insults me during it. Like... Nah. More power to you if you're okay with that kind of pathetic behavior but, it's no dice for me. I'm on the internet to have a good time, not placate children. As for why women blame everything else - I don't believe they do? I don't believe men blame everyone else either. I think most people, gender irrelevant, are grieving their wasted time, damaged ego, and loss of confid…

Hi, I'm a woman. Hi. Woman here. WOMANING. Anyway. It goes in one ear and out the other because when men say this they're displaying a lack of empathy and consideration for even their own actions - why would you expect someone to thoughtfully respond? Women know they chose wrong. So do men - or else they wouldn't still be in these relationships, in some cases. It makes people not want to engage you seriously, when you talk to them trying to both insult them while asking for pity. You know, basic…
