I thin your father might be confusing drama and women with attitude as excitement and a woman who isn’t boring. I think he can meet women who are not argumentative but know how to speak their mind respectfully. He probably has some dysfunctional thinking that needs to be adjusted a little bit.

This 🙌 I dont have kids yet but when I do this will be my framework. I believe many parents dont teach their children critical thinking, or explain the “why” behind the “what” - especially to younger kids. But when they know I believe they can make better choices instead of feeling controlled and then rebellious.

91% of women? Does this mean that in a group of 10 women that 9 will get cancer in their lifetime? TBH 10 is quite a low number for the average individual and I don’t see a world full of all those people with cancer.

It takes time to process but you can forgive yourself, and stop the behavior and take dating and sex slow until you get a grip on your true boundaries.

Change your behaviors and be more selective going forward. Present yourself to men as this new woman, not leading with the woman of your past. Forgive yourself! Easier said than done, but little attempts regularly will lead you there. Understand this does not disqualify you from a decent partner.

You’re young and there’s more where he came from. I’m 30 and haven’t settled yet… kinda glad looking back on it

Just say “I’ll let you know when I’m ready, and it’s not yet.” I usually do that for about 1-3 months. What I’ve learned is you never give men a deadline, only “I’m attracted to you and will let you know when it’s time, I want to get to know you first and feel comfortable.” Makes it fun too.

I usually wait until I feel comfortable with them, usually 1-3 months.

That last part hit hard… how he appreciates you vs how you make him feel. Damn.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
