The idea that there will be polygamous relationships to make up for the missing men is debunked by the aftermath of every major war. After WWII there isn't a large cohort of heroic women accepting polygamous marriages, nor single mothers who step up to replace the population. When there are more women then men, the result is by and large simply childless Spinsters.

Role model is the wrong term. JPs life is a disaster rn, but he's had a lot coming at him. I think his deep delving into meaning, psychoanalysis and archetypal stories speaks to something missing in modern life that all men crave. granted I think he's now gotten dragged into being further right than he presented his legendary lecture days.
