Not really simple. Since men still get in trouble for not approaching women or interacting with women

I'm talking about grounded movies that take place in real life. The bad men are usually portrayed as cowards. When in reality that is not true. Because even bad men can still have the masculine traits society loves. Like being tough and brave.

Definitely, we need to understand we don't live in action movies or animes. Doesn't matter how tough you are. Multiple men can still beat you, there are men bigger/stronger than you, and heck even a little girl with a knife can probably still take any tough guy out. This tough guy narrative does nothing for men. It all does is show that men can't be vulnerable. Therefore society thinks men don't need protection. And that would sabotage our goal here.

You miss the whole point of this post. I never did anything of the things you are accusing me of. athletes, soldiers, police officers, or hardcore gang members I'm saying all bad men can come in different paths of lives. This is definitely not categorization. . weak little nerdy cowards This is how bad guys are portrayed in films. This was never categorization.

Yep It's designed to exclude unattractive men from interacting with women, by calling them creepy for even asking women for directions. But it's also designed to put pressure on attractive men. To make sure these men still adhere to traditional gender roles like approaching women. So it's a situation where no man wins. Doesn't matter if that man is attractive or unattractive.

This is very related. They use transwomen to justify misandry. To push the idea that men or "males" are born inherently bad. And this is one of the rare times conservative and feminists actually put their differences aside. And come together push this form of misandry. Both think these are evil men trying harm women. And other rare times, are when it comes to the "protect women" narrative. It's no secret that feminists love gender roles that affect men and benevolent sexism. So they still expect…

"wHy wOulD a mAn bE tHeRe" This woman is ironically perpetuating toxic masculinity LMAO. By thinking being a man is separated from being queer. I don't want to make assumptions here. But this woman might not view gay men and bisexual men as "real men". In her head straight men are the only "real men". Which is not surprising for me. Since I think a lot of progressive women and feminists ironically think like this.

Totally agree. My job is to not make women feel uncomfortable. My job isn't to make women feel comfortable. There is a huge difference here.

I understand this. I just don't like it when a lot of women are inconsistent with this fear. Because it comes off as convenient. You say you are afraid of men you don't know. But still expect certain men to approach you or interact with you, despite this fear of men you have. But you still expect men to read minds and to know the fine line. Note: When I say the word "you" I'm not referring to you OP.

Honestly not shocked. I know what to expect on a sub like that. I would have been raising eye brows if I read this on subs like askwomen, ask feminists, and feminism though.

Men being viewed as disposable or expendables is rooted in misandry.

There's not any significant number of black people that want to go back to being house slaves because being a house slave actually sucked, regardless of whatever benevolent slave master stereotype you want to dream up. Great point. Notice there is a trandwife or trad woman trend going on right now. But there isn't a house slave trend though. That speaks volumes to me.

Protecting women is a convenient narrative for them sometimes. It's like this. Women issues are everybody's issues: Hence why feminists always tell indifferent men or non male feminists they are automatically on the oppressor side if they are neutral, even if they are not misogynistic. They are still on the oppressor side for not openly supporting women. While men issues are individual/personal issues: Hence why feminists usually have a "pull yourself up by your bootstrap" mentality with men iss…

The clowns in the first thread use the bs excuse of "men are afraid women will laugh at them, while women are afraid men will kill them" Even men can still commit suicide for not showing their emotions. I know a lot of these women may not care about that. Because it's not their issue. But hopefully they expect men to keep the same attitude towards women commiting suicide too.

Clearly the majority of powerbrokers in the West are still men, and in that sense society is male-dominated Don't forget about the fact that we live in a society that is still obsessed with male gender roles, and forced men to adhere to traditional gender roles on average compared to women. So this means a majority of women and even feminists themselves still expect men to be high status in this male dominanted society. Where they view men in power as more masculine, successful, confident, and a…

Good reply. You add on more to what I said. I agree with you, individualism is difficult for men. Conservatives mock, criticise and bully men who aren’t “masculine” a lot, and it’s gotten worse. I’ve straight up seen people on the internet saying they’ll give up their sons for adoption or even kill them if they liked something feminine. It’s disgusting. And even people will liberal beliefs won’t let go of their fantasies of the perfect masculine man who will dedicate his life to serving their ne…

No, only time women aren't portrayed as "useless" when they are girl bosses who have successful careers, leaving men behind in education. So women are only given agency when it comes to their accomplishments under capitalism. But outside that most women are fragile children in society who can't do anything all of sudden. That's the paradox of feminism. An ideology that simultaneously views women as strong girl bosses and helpless victims at the same time. An ideology that is quick to abandon fem…

<Women are the equals of men...until the start bombs dropping. Women or feminists only use equality when it is convenient for them. Women issues should be everyone's problems. If you are neutral towards women issues. You are automatically on the side of the oppressor to them. And being a male feminist or ally should be something all men should inspire to be. But when it comes to men issues, all of a sudden it's "sounds like a personal problem bro". And men issues now become individual problems.

No one”’s saying only women have a responsibility to fix men’s issues, we as men also have a responsibility to fix our own issues, but women are actively complicit in causing our issues by expecting us to conform to their unrealistic standards. The biggest issue with women who hold feminist views, is not neutrality. It would actually be ok if these women were neutral, you are correct it's not women's job to fix men's issues. And you are also correct when you say women are complicit. Because you …

And it's not just men loving the patriarchy. Even feminists themselves still want to uphold the status quo of patriarchy, whenever it benefits women. For example, even progressive women still expect most men to adhere to the traditional gender role of protecting women. By risking their lives to save women from violent aggressors. They labeled this as "positive masculinity", which is just a progressive version of traditional masculinity view through a female gaze. Even in romantic movies made by …

They can't imply that oppressor-oppressed dichotomy with everything. Unlike black and white people where there is more black and white (no pun intended) when it comes to race issues. Men have issues women don't have. It's not always simple black and white. For example gay men and bisexual men face more stigma than their female counterparts. Transwomen are viewed as inherently evil by both the right and left because they were born male. Black men and other men of color face way more police brutal…

Yeah he does massive pandering for women. It's like a man can't be supportive of women's rights without being like this dude in some shape or form. This guy is the reason why people say women don't want equal rights. They want special treatment.

"bUt mISaNdRy dOeSn't kIlL, jUsT hUrT fEeLiNgS" Would misogyny still wouldn't matter if it hurt women's feelings. Saying these same things in the reverse. Of course not. And transphobia and ableism is causing harm. Not just hurting feelings. But these morons will never understand that.

In reality even the women who pick the bear would still pick the man. They are only using this analogy to be inflammatory towards men and show their misandry. All because they had bad experiences with men. I know this is true because these women are usually the same feminists or progressive women that are quick to label men cowards or make jokes about men being afraid of other men whenever a man doesn't risk his life to defend a woman in a dangerous situation. You would think these strong indepe…

It's that I don't identify with a lot of the rigid and often deeply negative stereotypes about men that proliferate in a cultural zeitgeist dominated by liberal feminism. But that doesn't mean I'm not my gender. It means the image they're selling of my gender is wrong. Great way to say it. So to use a quote, I don't remember where I found it. "I identify as a man, I just don't identify with other men". Meaning I'm ok with identifying as man. But I just don't care about identifying with society i…

And women also have snarky homophobic remarks about men being too friendly with other men. For example there is a trend on tiktok where young women talk about men being emotionally attracted to men. Because these men usually tell their feelings to other men. And are more happy with other men compare to women. It's funny how it is more acceptable for women to be soft or open with each other. But men are called gay for doing the same. Another double standard. These women usually make jokes like "g…

With P Diddy, people are making jokes about him getting rape in prison. As for revenge for his crime. I bet if this was a female rapist, people wouldn't have this same reaction. Despite the woman doing a horrible crime. Just how everybody is so quick to say they want to beat up a pedophile. But when the pedophile is a woman. Then nobody has this cringe sense of vigilante justice all of a sudden. (https://youtu.be/Q2eD-YjduuM?si=fY8BiIRecIoNvMM7) What always irritates the fuck out of me is that i…

Hey this is me from another account. I forgot my password and email. I will give you a longer reply this time. Feminists constantly preach about women being more morally better than men, because they are more nurturing and empathetic than men. But on the flip side though. Feminists say society puts high moral standards for women and it's unfair. Feminists constantly say society/patriarchy view women as baby making machines, and women are more than just baby makers. But on the flip side though. F…
