It seems too rare to find a man who can play video games in a balanced way. That's probably why it is such a turn-off to you. My man really really enjoys gaming, but he stops playing if the children or I want his attention. He basically never plays for extended periods of time. He participates as an adult should in the management of domestic duties, taking on his share without complaint. He checks in with me before he starts playing to make sure I don't have other plans for us. But the trait I a…

The problem is that places where talc is mined is usually also where you can find a lot of asbestos. It isn't the kind of sinister where they're adding it to the formula HOWEVER I'd bet a huge chunk of money that they knew this was an issue for a very long time... so it's that kind of sinister.

You're right. Way for me to pull the stereotypical American move of passively assuming the entire internet is in the states. Maybe the same search will help her find her country's equivalent?

Google the national domestic violence hotline. They can help you form a safety plan and know where to find resources that will help you get out sooner.

I used the Vote with Me app. You can sync your contacts. Then you can also click a button that says (+ not "so and so"?), enter new first and last names, state and age range and find whoever you're looking for even if you don't have them in your contacts.

Yep, this is how my exes lied. They pretended that they had voted but actually didn't at all. Gross.

Good point I forgot to mention. My mother does this! The tip is really only good for seeing if a person has participated in an election, not for determining their actual views.

We know for sure that this officer AT A MINIMUM hates women. Maybe it gets even more sinister than that. I heard the suspect they were trying to get was already in custody when they shot Breonna... soooo it makes me wonder if she turned down his advances or something.

This is one thing I personally struggle with about FDS. On one hand, we don't want to divulge our past sexual history because of fear that the man will use that knowledge against us. On the other hand, I kind of want to know if a man is going to react that way so I can boot him well before reaching the engagement-phase, right? By not providing opportunities for men to show us whether they'll behave in a high or low value way, aren't we risking spending more time with someone who we are incompati…

You're not overthinking. Firstly, remember that women are most likely to be harmed by someone they know, so cohabitating for the sake of safety isn't a good move. Everything else is about minimizing your exposure and making it seem as difficult as possible for someone to get to you. Use cameras, security systems, lighting and locks for your place. Don't bring men to your place or let them pick you up. Don't be super predictable with your routines when you can (i.e. going for a walk at the same t…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
