Mine used to say that the fact that we remained together (i.e. I kept forgiving him) despite all he had done, was proof that we were meant to be together. 🤡

Omg, I just posted about how disrespect never gets better. Your post is amazing, filled with truths that I'm trying to internalise. This is definitely handbook material. And I need to go check out the podcast!

I know exactly what you mean. I found FDS a long time ago, while I was still with my ex. It was really painful for me to have the truth of my abusive relationship pointed out to me, post after post. I knew it was an abusive relationship, but I stayed with him for so long. FDS can be brutal sometimes, and one can feel a bit like a loser when one is not able to immediately "block and delete". Sometimes, we read other women's stories and think "that could never be me", even though we are trapped in…

I had to learn this the hard way. My NVX was a master of apologies. He was an expert manipulator, who always knew the right words to say. He always seemed so sincere. By the time I finally left him, I was a shell of myself. I could not believe how much I allowed him to get away with. This is how women find themselves in terrible situations, with wicked, abusive men. It never happens all at once. Like boiling a frog, men slowly turn up the heat, until we look around one day, and realise that our …

Whatever you need to feel comfortable in the relationship is fine, sis. If he cannot comply, plenty of fish in the sea. That said, I would advise that you do not allow yourself to become consumed with finding out whether or not you are being cheated on. Do not become that woman who is stressed out and anxious, constantly checking his phone for proof. That is not a place of power. Like we always say on FDS, we need to constantly be vetting. If you can no longer trust his word and character, if yo…

I don't love tiktok, but your presence there will certainly improve it! You could also post more on FDS. :)

They never do. I feel like older women should hold master classes for the younger generations. They have so much wisdom to impart.

Me too. I couldn't take it anymore. Most of the posts are sickening to read. Women in horrendous situations waiting for redditors to tell them how to "communicate".

This is very well said. I love the idea of normalising going without makeup, waist trainers, plastic surgery, or other extraneous beauty enhancements. I love the idea of normalising ageing, getting fat after childbirth, and not having "hourglass" figures. It takes a lot financially, physically, psychologically and otherwise to attain and maintain the beauty standards as they exist today. We all (mostly) collectively acknowledge the toxicity of it all, yet privately we paint our faces and contort…

“winning” is when you can get to a place personally where your self-esteem is completely disentangled from how people react to you... This is enormously difficult to do, because there are very real advantages to be gained from adhering to beauty standards. Pretty privilege is real. Freedom, in my opinion, will be achieved, when a woman is free to just BE, regardless of what she looks like, without any social repercussions.

Me too! And the difference in the way I get treated is very clear. I am average-looking without makeup, but with makeup, I am able to meet prevailing beauty standards. I am honest enough to admit that I like the way I am treated when wearing makeup. I like the validation. It gives me a leg-up in the continuous competition that, unfortunately, is life as a woman. If I am smart, I become smart and beautiful. If I am capable, I become capable and beautiful. Therefore, I become somehow "better" than…

I actually have seen the opposite. It's usually domineering (abusive) men who act like they know more about their wives' bodies more than the wives themselves. They talk condescendingly over them, and dismiss their concerns.

This is very well said. This is the reason why these days, it's not enough to simply have sex with men. Women have to have acrobatic, violent, degrading sex in order to "stand out". I shudder to imagine what the next stage of sex will be, once this generation succeeds in normalising BDSM. You could make a whole post out of this.

Omg, you hit the nail right on the head! Sex between men for them means one of them “has to be the woman” because sex doesn’t exist without a subject and an object. Women are the object in hetero pairings. It's enough to put one completely off sex with men.

I think of it like this: men know that most women want the proposal to be special. They know that most women want an engagement ring that means something to her, even if it's not the most expensive ring out there, something that shows that he values her, and the commitment they are about to make. Men know that most women want a beautiful wedding ceremony, whatever that might mean to her. They know, and do not care. There are men, who do not have a lot of money, that scrimp and save for months, i…

Exactly. My Mum was found to be hypertensive at 40. She was overweight, and seemed permanently stressed out and angry. I used to look at her with a mix of confusion and pity. Why couldn't she be more like my fun, fit, energetic Dad? I understand now that working full time and taking care of four small children largely without help, literally almost killed her. While I'm grateful to her every day, I know that I would never want to be like her. Never.

Omg I'm so sorry that happened. It's something I learned as a teenager, and I would not recommend it either. Frankly, it's time for me to mature enough to be fully confident in my body, and stop the wholly unnecessary (and harmful) grooming.

You're awesome! Scrotes never anticipate a taste of their own medicine. Shaving can actually be really harmful. Several women have keloids in their public area from tiny injuries acquired while shaving, not to mention infections. For what???

I agree a 100 percent. I stopped waxing a long long time ago. I trim/shave occasionally to keep the area looking "neat". I have had no complaints so far, and I wouldn't give a damn if I do get a complaint. In fact, it would be grounds for instant disqualification of the man. The only person who is allowed to have an opinion on such an intimate part of my body is me.

So what's the plan moving forward? Is she going to become a literal bangmaid? Let him put his filthy unwashed dick inside her, afterwards clean the house, do the laundry, and make him a meal? 😂 Must be nice to be a scrote!

It's always disappointing when I get to the end of each episode, but the zingers at the end are gold! "Stay at home sons", "basement nephews". 🤣

There's no way for him to actually get to you, right? He doesn't know where you work or have your address? I only ask because there's something really unsettling about a 50-something year old man that thinks it's okay to compose and send such a message. Stay safe sis!

🤣🤣🤣☠️☠️ 3.9k up votes, is this the latest way to karma farm? "men are aggressive lovers... Hard on the outside, but if you hold them in your arms they become this angel of yours..." 😂 I refuse to believe a woman unironically wrote that. I'm grateful to the op tho; I needed a good laugh.

Again, I agree with you completely. I did say 'usually' in my original post. Unfortunately, on average, men usually do have more skeletal muscle mass than women. If scrotes think that's yet another reason to boast, so be it. We women need to learn how to defend ourselves. No more acting like prey!

I agree with you completely. Women need to know how to hold their own in physical altercations. There's no disadvantage in learning basic self-defense skills, even if you never have to use it. My ex used to "playfully" pin me down, and then hold on long after I'd stopped laughing. He always acted surprised afterwards, and accused me of being unable to take a joke. I was younger then, and couldn't fully articulate why it made me so uncomfortable. I see now that he was reminding me of just how str…

Omg, how terrifying! I would have started looking for another place to stay ASAP. I'm so thankful that you're alive to tell the story. Sad to think that as women, we must always be on guard, even in our own homes.

There's really no way out until they get bored and lose interest. You can't show your fear (or anger or disgust) because that will just inflame them the more! I'm getting anxious just watching it. I hope she made it out of there safely.
