Check your local laws but cohabitating equals marriage after a certain time period. Common law marriage is only recognized in like 10 states, and of those you have to literally be going around telling people you're married. There are valid reasons not to cohabitate, but you aren't going to just be declared married by living with a woman, in most instances.
