Give me a break, I was joking. Sheesh.

If you check my post I already made an update that it’s over.

The difficulty with posting on forums is that we have to summarize our encounters with another human into a concise segment of text. I knew enough about this man to know he really did care, and I wasn’t fully prepared to pull the cord just yet.

What I did may not have been how others would have handled it but it got the point across to him.

I have read it multiple times. I used to post here under the username floralay. I am not a total newbie.

This is a thing in LDRs.

It was obvious from how I was talking to him that I wasn’t happy about it. He is no fool.

Thank you for educating me about how to maintain a LDR.

Umm, actually....

Well I totally agree!

It’s only once a week because the dates are virtual and it’s long distance. We also are scheduling in-person dates.

The date tonight would be virtual, not an in-person date. And we text and talk often.

To observe and see what happens.

Not at all. Seriously. He didn’t even make a move on me when we met in person. And he doesn’t sext. It’s definitely a real relationship, despite the LDR status.

I understand what you are saying but this is literally the very first flag that has come up.

In a LDR it’s not the in-person meetings that matter so much as the quality and amount of time in between.

Yes, I am considering the truth of your first paragraph. I’m not at the point of your second one though.

He does. He has told me he has feelings for me and loves me. And has showed it in other ways. I wish people would not make broad generalizations on here.

It’s not about material goods. It’s the emotional connection and support.

Actually I earn more than him. That’s not the point. This is an isolated incident. He has all around been a wonderful man to me.

Like I said to someone else, there are other benefits I am receiving. I am looking at the whole picture not just this one isolated incident.

I didn’t even call him out on his behavior, I just ignored it.

People who haven’t had experience with long distance relationships underestimate the emotional connection that can be made. With all the technological advances, you can become quite close.

I’m weighing my actions in the context of the big picture, not just this one day. That’s why I am taking a big step back instead of deleting and blocking (which I have successfully used with other men and find great value in).

There is a positive correlation between effort made towards appearance and quality. Sure there may be some naturally beautiful ladies who don’t try but still manage to look great. But, for the rest of us (and especially as we get older), there needs to be some effort made.

Confident, dominant men at work are leaders. Confident, dominant women at work are bitchy.

So am I. I have male friends. Who love fantasy series and aren’t porn addicts.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/20 03:34 PM

All right. My friends and I happen to love the show and I am not aware of any porn addiction amongst us. Porn addicts may be a fan of the show but it’s not necessarily a logical leap that Game of Thrones fans are all porn addicts.

I know it means Game of Thrones. I don’t see the association with porn addiction

Thank you for this. I have a date next weekend and have been debating whether I should sleep with him. The reality is that I probably wouldn’t be satisfied and would feel bad afterwards.

Sometimes we have difficulty recognize LVM behaviors. I find it helpful when others post their experiences with LVM.

I was just explaining the logic behind it, not saying I support it.

It’s not about doing fun things, it’s about him investing in you. This does two things: He is more likely to value a woman he has invested time, energy, and money in. It shows you that he is interested in you and cares about you.

Think of it this way: you are probably going to a better restaurant than he can normally afford. Therefore, the person earning more contributes more so the other person can eat there. Same with living; you would probably be living somewhere nicer than he could normally afford, so you chip in more to be able to stay there.

I’m too busy living my life to think about him.

What surprises me is that she is surprised. Did she expect him to change after they got married? After they had a kid?

I swatted away my ex-boyfriend who one evening texted me “What you up to?”.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
