What about Stalin? He not only developed heavy industry, but also propelled the USSR to equal the USA militarily, and made the USSR into a scientific powerhouse. BTW, Stalin purposefully suppressed the Russian oil industry other than that for domestic consumption - he saw the dangers of becoming a major oil-export nation, and decided against it.

Remember - the biggest mistake guys in your position make is assuming that shy girls want shy guys, or that fat girls want fat guys etc.. This couldn't be further from the truth. All girls want confident, fit guys. Yes, of course different girls have different tastes, that is true, noone can deny that - but that "base" is always the same - confidence and fitness. Comrade Red-Pillist, I had the same problem. The issue is, when you swallow TRP, you realize that most people love just talking the same senseless gossip, and overall repeat themselves so many times it's unreal. I recommend that you try forming new friendships outside your school/college by joining local, non-school sports/activity clubs. This not only is a more "natural" place to socialize, but the spread of people's interests is also much greater than school.
