Different isnt it? That's your sexist version of the story where men are expected to constantly be ready to have sex with anything that's human and female and "girls" are relatively young women who just happen to be drastically hotter than, in reality, a random woman would be. If you haven't caught on I feel that you calling the female party a girl and the male party a man already creates a dynamic of age, physical power, and authority that does not sync with healthy, consensual relationships be…

I don't know what you're saying and really don't care. No longer responding to this topic (other commenters keep digging up these threads a day later and pursuing a topic that ended in another). Protip: Complete sentences rock.

I'd be interested to see where you see that in big bold letters Only responding for clarification. Entering r/mensrights and clicking on a thread (I assume only as a non-sub) displays in big, bold red letters very clearly not to post, vote or comment if you are not a sub to this reddit. Would screenshot if I wasn't lazy.

threatening to murder someone because they won't have sex with you You have zero evidence that is what happened. At no point did this woman declare she attempted murder because he wouldn't have sex with her. At no point did she ever state any indication feeling of entitlement to men's bodies, and if so it wasn't in that article. All I see here is a group of dudes with laptops so anxious to paint men's not as victims of a physical crime (which is exactly what happened and what this woman was char…

She told Santos she liked being choked during sex, which was too weird for him, so he tried to leave and she pulled a gun on him. She asked him for not just sex, but a fairly deviant version of it He says no and tries to leave She pulls a gun on him. And this exhibits a belief ownership over men's bodies? Um no. Reading is fundamental. What we know to be true is a drunk woman pulled a gun on a guy for an unknown reason. We are given no mission, no statement of purpose, no... you know what fuck i…

You inadvertently took a sample Do you not see the literal contradiction here? anecdotal evidence that men don't feel unworthy of women. I can't say anything about how men feel and neither can you. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but I don't have magic powers that divine how every single man feels at any given moment and neither do you. What I did imply is what OP said and my life experiences don't line up at all. If you told me there are monkeys with 5 foot tails, hmm okay. Monk…

feeling entitled to a man's body and sex with him. You have literally zero evidence and the itemized list before outlined exactly why. You didn't ask for an exact equivalent to the Elliot Rodgers tragedy. No I did not and I still am not. I did not request it be an angsty, narcissistic 22 year old girl. Didn't request the chick to have been enrolled in college or have a history of personality disorders. Just requested that she clearly exhibit a belief of ownership over men's (not a man's, men's) …

Entertaining yes, people are fucking crazy. Issues: Elliot Rodgers was not intoxicated. Rodgers' crime was not a moment of passion thing, it was pre-meditated; he had been planning it for quite a while Rodgers' actions were targeted at groups of people who shared a demographic, not at one person he happened to be in a room with when shit blew up. There is no evidence he even knew the Tri Delta chicks, he simply asserted he "the supreme gentleman" deserved to get laid by them. There is no stateme…

I think you've spent too much time on Tumblr That has nothing to do with you or this thread. Here is the bias part that relates to my point That part where I said you couldn't read. That other part where I said there isn't nor was there ever a sample taken. What you're trying to argue is like going south of the south pole; there is nothing there and you're not making an argument. Here's a series of biases. So you can look up things on wiki but you can't read? K'den. Guys who feel unworthy of women aren't likely to talk about it in day to day life. And I repeat, you can look something up on wiki but your ass can't read? More feminists hate? Lmfao. Let's not talk feminism, let's talk logic! It'll be fun, have a seat and tune in if this wasn't a part of your undergrad education! Example of a proposition: Clouds are always made of gas. How to prove it: Assume there exists a cloud that is not made of gas and arrive at contradiction. In this case, how would something heaving that the rest of the gas in the atmosphere float on top of it and not fall? Magic? The force? Yeah, contradiction. How to disprove: Because it …

Let me link a series of biases. Here. Now go sit in the corner and think about what you've done. Again, downvotes? Bring it. I have no patience for human beings put through any first world education system yet lack a basic understanding of statistics. It's a hell of a pet peeve, I know.

one raised by a feminist might be. That kind of rhetoric can damage a man's sense of self-worth. I'm... going to ignore that statement. Can we not go to that feminism damages men thing? Kay, thanks. It'd be different if you said "raised by a woman who constantly puts down men" which is what I think you meant. Feminists (hi!) are not man bashing psychos planning Hitchcock styled murders the second their sons reach puberty. I think it is an extraordinary claim that most men feel entitled to women'…

If men felt "entitled to women's bodies", then all men would be having sex at will with any women of their choosing. That's clearly not the case. Feeling entitled is not the same as being entitled. Because they are not in actuality entitled to women's bodies, there is no reason to find evidence of entitlement in reality. Not being able to do something isn't remotely close to not wanting to do it. As for if men were entitled to women's bodies (and this was backed up by law and societal norms) I'm…

Personally speaking, I think there are only a few things guys hate about makeup, and eyeliner is probably one of them. Its one thing when its soft and used against the lash line. But, too much just leads to jokes about you looking like a cat or being attacked by a permanent marker.

Have you seriously not noticed the huge clash between mensrights and transphobia? Trans women go out of their way to identify their status as women, MRAs call them rapist and make comments like "whoooooosh" in response to logic. I'm so not even kidding. My point is that this topic is a much needed message to Men'sRights, imho.

This post just gave me hope for men's rights. Someone needs to do serious purging of members here, as while you have the right to an to voice an opinion, it should be an intelligible one. Its been addressed before and the fact of the matter is its a matter of priority.

Among trans people? There's no reason trans people should agree on something like that. There are just as many trans people (relative to the population) that are fruit loops as non-trans people. And privilege kind of implies that you get some sort of advantage over others, yes? The woman in the above example is in fact being denied both male and female privilege. No raise. No vacations. No respect whatsoever. So, what on earth are you talking about?

That's the stupidest assertion I've ever heard towards stealth transsexual women. I'm not sure if I even should entertain it!? Yes? No? This is quite frankly the dumbest fringe opinion I've ever been exposed to.

That's correct, but I don't need anyone's consent to be an astronaut, either - the problems start when I demand others treat me as an astronaut. When you're qualified, able to be, and are.. basically all that's left is giving people a reason to consider you somehow not an astronaut. Not your problem. You're an astronaut. Weeeee~ it's how others view you that has to be reckoned with, and how their preferences relate to you. Which is contingent upon your decision to disclose. Should you choose not…

I'm trying to make the argument more concise so I totally deleted all my arguments to the above. I didn't think it was relevant to this in particular. It's more of a general argument for r/ethics or something. I'd say the statistics of number of trans vs. number of murdered trans is hugely relevant considering that's what you're using to justify non-disclosure as an option that won't generate hostility. I'm not justifying non-disclosure per say. I'm justifying disclosure to be quite dangerous. N…

Heheheh some guys just aren't bothered. Indeed. Though, I'm not sure what that says about porn, nowadays. What bothers me is that the guys that react totally over the top to gays and the like obviously have issues themselves that haven't been dealt with - the question is, how do you force them to deal with it, if that's even possible? I have a few ideas: By tricking them into sex with traps (not postop transsexual women, but legit men that happen to be really pretty) and revealing it to them, on…

The first two postquote responses didn't exactly answer anything. sure, trans are at higher risk This is my point. Being trans puts you at a higher risk of physical danger. You cite that this does not happen by the dozen, to which I say "how would you know?" there are countries where people can be 'provoked' into murdering their own offspring No, violence is not provoked. Anytime. Anywhere. We do not blame victims of violent crimes for their own deaths/assaults. Got it? The same thing could happ…

why I'm so much more keen on the DNA approach (when it arrives) than creating a physical approximation. I was so caught up in correcting you that i did not mention this. While I've so much already, I will say I do agree with this. More research needs to be done. More differences need to be corrected. I am also arguing that no one "fears" a Y chromosome. 2nd post, I guess i really did write a book, I exceeded 1000 characters. Transgender women are killed for existing. The only defense a woman in such a life has to mitigate this serious and undoubtedly present risk (for simply being alive, at that!) is to place severe limitations on who knows what and when. Until you have a better solution to the risks, rather than a bunch of doubts that there is any danger, the personal feelings people might have on such are not something I deem appropriate to t…

but that's not really the norm, is it? For quite apparent reasons, statistics are hugely lacking in regards to people who have identified as trans. Therefor, this is likely a matter of perspective. I'd assert it is the norm. A vast majority of "out" (which also coincides with being pre-op or non-op) trans women are subject to physical violence. Are you seriously asserting that transgender women have no higher risk of being murdered than non-trans women? I'd be hardpressed to definitively prove t…

I did not ask you to explain. I did not voice a desire for you not to explain either, so I am at fault. But, I'll just do that now. I do not care for you to defend your... beliefs in regards to social policy. This is something I'd argue you knew you should have disclosed earlier. I would not have taken your objections nearly as seriously as I did. I would have scoffed at them in the manner such as you assert to scoff at mine. withholding key information puts them in a far more dire situation, which is what you seem to be suggesting that they should be doing. Sorry to chime in, as this is not my debate, but how did you arrive at this? Can you cite that in all, or even a majority, of cases of assault on the transgender are because someone didn't know? At what point is it you suppose disclosure prevents this harm? No. That is not what happens. Trans women are killed because of prejudice. Especially the ones who live "ou…

This "response", if one could call it such, as it responds to nothing, is ridiculous. So in order to be proven right I need court rulings and perhaps some cited studies to prove that surgery and hormones don't magically transform a person into something else? Yes. I'm shocked you're even asking that. Is this unreasonable? common sense I'd assert the above is common sense. Facts are not facts if you cannot prove them. They are opinions. though I would certainly feel betrayed if they lied about it. Then, it is personal for you, as this is the topic we are discussing. I would not feel betrayed, albeit, slightly put off, by having sex with a guy who was a postop transman. As far as casual sex goes, that's a hell of a lot of trust. Whether or not someone feels betrayed is their problem. You have the power to mitigate this by simply inquiring information. If you can't be bothered to read what I write, do not waste my time replying. Its that simple. I gain nothing, here. They ARE deceived. Feel deceived. No, I don't demand people tell others about their LIVES before having sexual relations. I demand they tell them what their ACTUAL SEX is because it is so intrinsic to one's being. Say. This. To. Them. I don't know what else to tell you. If you don't want to, don't. So I don't blame PUAs for lying to women, because it's always about superficial stuff. "ignorance is no excuse" That is not "what" I said. In the reply box under formatting help, there is an option to quote. Use it. If you argue awareness as the issue, your goal would be to raise awareness, yes? Well, if the Florida Family Association can hire planes to warn about Duh Gayz at Disney, you can hire one with a colorful, transbashing message as well. I'll ignore our conflicts on what constitutes a woman. I'm more concerned that if you are aware of something you find unfavorable is a possibility, you would refuse to pursue this yourself? You know such women view themselves as women and will therefor not disclose any non-woman status they hold to be nonexistent. Delusional or not, you should be reasonably aware of this as a premise, if nothing else. So, you are choosing not to ask. It's a reasonable assumption that a healthy looking man isn't …

I understand what you are saying. My stance is it would be preferable to just spill the beans. However, it's simply not practical for anyone else. Amounting being inconsiderate to something as serious as rape (sex as a weapon) is not okay whether I agree with you or not. Nonconsent is an element of rape, as far as I'm concerned, but this is men's rights after all. Its not about what people "should" do, its about what you can expect to happen.
