"the womans choice to do whatever she wants = father responsibility." I have no idea what this means "It seems to be that you are saying woman can't be independent and need man's money. Seems to be your a gold digger" Nope, haven't said that, nor ever suggested it. "Women can adopt the child without the father's consent." Not really, if a women wants to put up a child for adoption (I'm assuming you meant putting up for adoption, rather then adopt) the father can stop it and claim custody himself…

"He isn't, he is responsible for his own action? You know that condoms break right?" You answered this question yourself: "If she didn't want to be pregnant as an accident don't have sex, simple for both people." "How can he be responsible of his action, when the mother can choose the abort or keep the baby?" The fact that a mother has a choice to abort, does not relieve the father of the responsibilities of his own choices. that would be insane. "So he is forced into Parenthood because that mot…

But that is not what the headline is about. The headline isn't talking about who the perpetrator is according to the police. This is not a police run hotline we are talking about so this 'reporting' isn't the kind of reporting you do to the police. It's nice that you are linking sources but so far they are not even relevant to the question so I'll ask it more clearly: Why do you think it is news or noteworthy that when a hotline, run by a male domestic violence charity, receives a call from a ma…

That's fine, but your only going to create a bubble, where r/MensRights has one filter, and everybody else in the world uses a different one. For a bunch of non-feminists to go about setting a filter for what a feminist is, is not very constructive.

"Why should the father care for the wellbeing of the child he never consented to?" I never suggested he needed to care, you can't force people to care anyway, he is free to leave the child in the hands of the mother if he doesn't personally care about it. "Why is the father responsible for a choice the mother makes?..... The father never wanted to keep it the mother did. So why is the father responsible for a choice the mother makes?..... Why is the father responsible for a choice the mother mak…

So are you saying you think most people believe that when a man is a victim of domestic violence, it's not that they think another man is responsible, but that the victim somehow committed this crime against himself? Because that is not at all what your first reply to me would suggest. I understand that you don't think language is important in communication, but indulge me here.

"Why are you good to pay "interest of the child" when you never wanted the child in the first place?" Because the child's wellbeing is important, even if the man doesn't want it. "Why does it change from women's choice, to men responsibility, when women have the choice themselves," It doesn't, abortion is a women's choice, a child's life is the parents' responsibility(both of them), and society's as a whole. "why do they get to remove their responsibility of the child" They don't, if they keep i…

So how do you think this relates to this sub's subject? Do you think MRA or men in general are susceptible to this complex? at least regarding men's rights? I ask because it kind of seems like this moral superiority complex is also a paradox. Specifically saying things like: "The idea that these movement have monopoly over the moral high ground is also preventing other movement like us at r/mensrights fr actually proposing solutions that might actually work." Would kind of imply that WE actually…

you mean why it goes to the interest of the child at all? or why only when it is born?

Except this has nothing to do with the headline. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice rehearsed reply, I'm sure you got it somewhere in a doc ready to copy paste, or maybe it's already memorized, either way, it's not at all relevant in this case. So where does this belief of yours come from? that this headline would somehow be news, or otherwise noteworthy. You're clearly playing very fast and loose with terminology here but I'm note sure if that's the issue. What do you think goes through the minds …

No, it turn towards the interest of the child when it is born, not before.

why what? I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you asking why the interest of the child is taken into account? or why society would want to protect those interests? or why the choices of the adult are seen as irrelevant for society in this matter?

No, I mean the interest of the child, which is why I said the interest of the child. So do you acknowledge the existence of the interests of the child and why society might want to protect those interests regardless of the choices of the adults involved?

that is an excellent question... he can decide he doesn't want to be a father, in which case, depending on the finances of the mother, he can be forced to pay child support because the interest of the child outweigh the interest of the father OR the mother. If you don't want this to happen, rejoice, there are amply opportunities for men to control their fertility, not fucking, wearing a condom, and reversible sterilizations aren't expensive.

Not exactly, gatekeeping is not about member selection, it's about ownership. Imagine a gated community(like a physical neighborhood) with a playground. You will need to use gatekeeping in order to prevent people outside of that community from using that playground, since it is only meant for people who live in that gated community. Gatekeeping is saying: "X belongs to our community, members of other communities are not allowed to use it." It's when feminists say men cannot be the victims of sex…

No, seriously though, are people really surprised that a hotline for ONLY MALE domestic violence victims would report mostly female perpetrators? In other news, water still wet.

Wait, you do realize gatekeeping is a BAD thing right?

It doesn't go out the window, pro-choice is based on the 'my body my choice' idea. It is not the man's body, it is therefor not the man's choice. This is not hard surely. Nobody can force a women to end a pregnancy, or carry through with it. Fucking somebody does not give you any standing over what they do with their body afterwards. After the baby is born, the man does have a choice, he can choice to be a father, including having input into subjects like circumcision and educational choices. Or…

Men care plenty about clothes. the bigger thing is there isn't a focus on diversity in what men wear. Look at your politicians for example, all the men in nice(very expensive) suits that have all the same basic design. while most of the women are probably wearing a wide variety of outfits, some in nice suits, others in dresses, some in skirts, etc. This same thing happens in business or at bars/cafes. Women wear a larger variety of clothes compared to men. Men's clothes don't have variety, so th…

What nonsense is this? Traditionally men are responsible for the money, that includes making money, as well as deciding how to spend it. Even in cases where women did the spending, they would ultimately answer to their husband/father for what they spend money on(it is his money so he gets to make the call). A key part of feminism is to change this, to make women financially independent from men, although some of course only want to get rid of the needing permission part.

There is no significant contradiction out there. Study results differ because they often use different definitions of what is domestic violence. The consensus is that women commit more minor cases(slapping and kicking) while men dominate the more serious ones (hospitalization, murder, rape)

Wait, is this a joke? "Callers to hotline for male domestic violence victims report mostly female perpetrators" like, honestly? read that again, but slower
