Different mating strategies. What makes sex valuable in the first place?

Who even expects random acts of altruism from everyone? That rarely happens from random people unless the situation is so blatantly abhorrent that randoms feel inclined to behave ultruisric, like if mac Donalds were to poison someone, random people would come to the victim's aid. But that's completely gender independent

Outside of standard preferences that relate to things like social economic status and length there also needs to be a bit of chemistry for something to work. People who are highly attractive in the raw sense can compensate for a lack of chemistry but do these relationships work out well?

Or maybe you mistake kindness for flirtation?

Sweet people like you is one of the reasons why life and social interaction can be awesome. I sincerely hope you can beat this issue you have as it would make you available for a lucky girl. =]

I had a friend who was totally oblivious to girls flirting with him so i think that explains it for you too.

I dont think that many men base their career around what gets them external approval, but who knows

How would you describe yourself in a social situation? Are you assertive and or socially dominant, or more reactive and observant?

Men are more high risk high reward seeking that's true. But it doesn't seem logical that them picking harder education lowers chances since education correlates with intelligence mostly and you have careers at any level of intelligence. Don't you need to have certain grades before you can even enter a university? But your high risk high reward strategy seems to align with psychology. My guess is that men also feel less anxious from study pressures at a young age. Plus their brain is longer in de…

I think this has more to do with the evolution of our species where the women are the selectors, so nature selects for assertive men since they have a higher chance of standing out.

Well there's also stuff like unfair division of labor in the workplace among other things according to research. But yes some is directed at those at the very top which is silly because those aren't the average kind of person anyway

Is romantic interest that important for self-esteem?

Jep pathology attracts pathology often. People pick what feels safe and familiar. If you are mentally unstable that is likely because of a shakie upbringing

Yeah this whole description with submissiveness/dominance in how people should act is cringe af

Most successful interactions I've seen weren't cold approaches but just a normal social dynamic that evolved into a romantic or flirtatious dynamic. Well unless you're my brother, he gets approached often enough.

Yes and a significant portion of actors/actresses probably have some kind of past trauma going on.

I think you're just more likely to hear or read about very bad experiences as opposed to the continuous good ones. Those stories also stick more. Friendlyness and loving behavior is the expectation so when something diverges into the opposite direction it gives the illusion of some underlying broken state of affairs.

In what universe do you live. Yes there's probably something like a diversity quota or whatever for some businesses, but men are still highly competitive in that area. There are no obstructions, you're perceiving an enemy that's not there because on some levels in society these groups clash. What do you think the reason is for women graduating more than men?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/25 11:11 AM

But on the other hand it's more condoned for men to be divergent in other areas socially. They can be more vulgar.

You honestly believe people work like that? Where they oppose something because it takes away power from their gender group? Thats conspiracy level bs

Well it is the case that traits more associated with masculinity (assertiveness, dominance, disagreeableness) do predict more upward mobility in the workplace. As a group men possess these traits more often.

Jep this is problematic. Remaining stoic comes at the cost of emotional repression, which causes stress, but showing vulnerability and coming off as weak also causes stress, if not more so. Though i think people in general aren't as harsh towards others as people are to themselves.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
