That's a good way of looking at it. In fact I'd go further, and probably suggest MensLib is the tooth of the crocodile, with the jaws of the crocodile being feminism. It's a cohesive pair. MensLib is a disposable weapon of feminism used against men, and they both cause harm.

One of the things I hate about feminism is that is shoehorns complex mental health issues into fitting feminist theories. For instance, it could be very easy to blame or label somebody with AVPD or schizoid disorders as an example of "gender stereotypes preventing those men from being open to being emotional". Another erroneously harmful example would be somebody prone to harmful behaviour such as people with antisocial personality disorder, bipolar, or borderline personality disorder. If any of…

Jordan Peterson has a lot of hit or miss views but I think his books and lectures are worth a look at just to expand your mindset. I do think he goes wildly offbase sometimes. The jumping to everything Left leading to Maoism or Marxism is bizarre hysteria. He at the very least does not toe the line in conventional academia, and is clearly actually thinking independently instead of parroting what should be some socially accepted view of the time, today's example being the media and celebrity circ…

I'm glad they'll actually catch harassment this way and do something about it. Hopefully there will actually be some perspective afterwards too. We'll soon see that the majority of harassers are actually contained to very few problem men. Women that are harassed will also hopefully feel safer.

It's even worse than that. There have been quite a few deluded women that automatically assumed I was into them when they teased me. When I said I wasn't, they said I "must be gay". It's really annoying because not only it is false slander/defamation of character and questioning my heterosexuality, but it further feeds into the myth that men are ravenous sex hungry pests out for women with a pulse every minute of the day. It's a double knife edge.

I've noticed on AskReddit quite a long while ago there was a topic asking users of things to die out or something like that. A worrying few amount of posts and upvotes listed Masculinity by itself; not even toxic masculinity, although there were still plenty of those too.

Unfortunately controversy often just increases exposure and brand recognition. Gillette have probably succeeded in that regard.

It's something that happens naturally on some level. The animal kingdom for instance is based upon it. Think of birds and how extravagant colours and dancing they do to impress mates. Magnificent stags with beautiful large antlers and lions with impressive manes. Your pet dog certainly isn't riding that other dog hard over a wonderful personality. Problems can begin to arise if people only ever think of people as just objects and never as three dimensional people. But realistically I don't think…

I think the power feminists have, is not only to shame men, but to also shame women into following suit. Women that rally against feminism are seen as eternalised misogyny, which robs those people of independent thought.

Not only is it sexist and misandric, but simply impractical, and ultimately won't work. Psychopaths, Machiavellians, and narcissists are expertly influential in social spheres. Many people from these groups are hugely successful with careers, money, and romantically with women (think CEOs, bosses, ect). Their grandiose traits can often lay undetected. So no amount of vetting is going to work. All it would do disenfranchise the most vulnerable of society - often people prone to low self esteem th…

It's like we learnt nothing from the Prevent Wrap program. In the UK the idea is to vet out an Islamic extremists (and right wing extremists) before it happens, but what it's done is alienate Muslim communities and intensify the animosity an gulf of suspicion.

The trouble is it's "give them an inch they take a mile sort of thing". The milgram experiment shows what happens when the people are allowed to never question authority and practice. And men's voices desperately needs to be heard these days. Men's adcovacy is getting smashed into a tiny corner, and worst still it's somewhat taboo to even talk about let alone be part of. Feminism can't be called into question at all. Like it's something to be seen as some immoveable fact of science such as the f…

In a sense some uncomfortableness around homosexuality is the fear of sexual assault. Of course theoretically I have more to fear being sexually assaulted from a homosexual male than a heterosexual male. But I'd imagine it would be tapping to the very same irrational fears as women being taught to be afraid of creepy perverted men all the time.

Criminals don't care about following or obeying the law, so they certainly aren't going to care about following some arbitrary sexual rules or norms. I'm willing to bet that most gangsters , criminals ect probably have a dark history and string of sexual offenses or even sexual assault under their belts. Yes, they are going to be successful with most women, but simply because they have no shame in not holding back their primal desires, however at a great cost to society. I think to allow more ki…

The Poe Finn and Sam Frodo dynamics never even occur to me as anything more than a plain friendship or platonic friendship. It's quite annoying to box people like that. And weirdly enough, it's actually a small minority of the LGBT crowd that is pushing things that simply aren't there. Kind of like how some people creepily like to 'out' people that like to keep their relationship status and sexual lives private, or people that are suspect for not acting straight enough ect.

Crying will certainly not get things done in a practical problem solving sense (although see one exception near the bottom of my post). It's a sign of maturity. I see not throwing crying fits every five minutes at the slightest little thing in the same manner as not throwing a temper tantrum just because you didn't get your own way at something. If we are expected to curb our anger and aggression as an emotion, why is breaking down and crying not seen as something that could also be a problem? C…

You're not just dating her, you're dating the entire group I think you can tell a lot about about people by the company they keep. If somebody hangs around with sketchy crowds, then expect them to be the same. If somebody keeps company with healthy eaters, fitness gurus, and gym freaks then the chances are they will harbour these healthier influences instead.

Depends if they are open minded or not. The problem with most feminists is that they can be very militant, automatically seeing you as the enemy, seeing you as a misogynistic hater whom oppresses women (which of course isn't the case), so many of them probably won't give you the time day whether you actually wanted any choice in dating them in the first place. The less openly hostile ones are...well, they are interesting and more varied to say the least. Some of the ones that are willing date, w…

Some of the most decent traits people can have are 'masculine' in nature. So I certainly don't think being effeminate will serve to help me - quite the reverse. Things like courage, healthy competitiveness, chivalry, strength, moral decency, and stoicism ect. I think they are things I'd like to be.

Because the fear of stigma, shaming, and of being cancelled/losing access to education, employers being contacted, fear of being doxed, address being leaked, family harassed, bullied off social media ect... is all too overwhelming. This is not the same as fighting for other minority groups. The media has slandered the perception of men's adcovacy so much that anything less than following the whip of feminism is some kind if deviant aberration. Protestors will get lumped into the proper right win…

There are bubbles or fluctuations within increased/decreased chances of being falsely accused of a crime to consider as well. What most people forget when they dismiss chances of false allegations are places where they are far more common. Secure psychiatric hospitals are rife full of mentally unwell people, and there were one or two that I remember you had to be very very careful around. It was practically expected that your turn to be falsely accused every two years or so it was treated as suc…

However I know that in general that's for from everybody. If you open up and share your most traumatic experience, someone trying to use that against you to hurt you on purpose is simply disgusting. Now see this is generally why I'm a bit skeptical of the whole open up your feelings people on Reddit are adcovating. A lot of people are insincere and spiteful. They will hurt you. The more you share intimate or traumatic events in your life to people the more likely somebody malicious will use that…

I think a lot of right winger MRAs (and actually a lot of feminists too for that matter) are quite happy to keep the poor down, and to pull up the ladder if it means continuing to distract the public with their gender issues. Women's and men's issues are very important, especially so, but there does need to be a wider egolitarian goal in mind when people fight for adcovacy. The types of feminism and men's rights groups would tend to have are very Supply-side-Jesus-esque in their goals. To a home…

Honestly I'm fed up of it too. It's such a pointless empty gesture. Trust me, if you need to cry - you will. I know that well because I used to cry more in my teens when things were bad in my life. Whether it's held back or not, it makes no difference, because you'll just cry later instead of at that time. Crying is like sneezing. And when you do cry, it absolutely should not be in front of people that will tear you down. It should be in private, in front of people that will support you, but def…

I think they are to a degree, although so is feminism, so maybe it's a natural balanced reaction to that. The worry is most of the controlled opposition of feminism is basically policed by feminism itself, so men's and adcovacy issues only gain traction when it's in line with feminist standards. It's not in a good state.

There needs to be an economy and society that works for everyone, because poverty and disenfranchisement breeds hopelessness and resentment. Mental health services need to be good and well funded. There needs to be a healthy attitude towards male indentity. The media, institutions, and academia need to be wary of loaded anti-male language. There is evidence that the Prevent WRAP training alienates most peaceful Muslims whom are expected to snitch on, self police and weed out Islamic extremists. …

It's almost like a form of societal abuse at this point. If an adult parent constantly berated a child, negatively perceiving them, constantly blaming them, and told them that they are at fault for everything in the world; then it would clearly be considered emotional abuse. They'd have the child taken away from them, or some sort of outside intervention measure. Why men are being treated like this by academia, society, and the media is more than just sexist - it's incredibly malignant.

I honestly don't know. I am one of the few that actually liked Jeremy Corbyn and voted Labour last year. I'm not a fan of Keir Starmer. I have no idea who I'll vote for next time. Anyone but the Tories.

There's definitely a bit of difference of attitudes towards creepy or invasive behaviour between the sexes. For instance, Jerry Seinfeld saying 'no thanks' to the hug from Kesha and she was being very pressuring towards him. Yet the media never really seemed to make a huge deal out of it from what I remember, and some articles even made it into a lighthearted joke. Another example that sticks out was that weird Odell Beckham Jr. fumble where Lena Dunham was ignored by him at the Met Gala. This d…

I never saw mansplaining as an actual thing until the internet. I think it would be bad for others to withhold explaining to me or anyone else just because they're scared of offending. If somebody is overly explaining something to me, it tells me they are a good communicator.

Divide and rule works. It's to keep us all distracted fighting amongst ourselves whilst wealthy elites kick the ladder down. It's not just the USA. It seems to affect the entire West at this point. In the UK it's the same depressing picture as the USA. The poorer working class are practically forgotten about at this point, even by left leaning parties. They aren't the focus anymore. It's all about better representative at the very top for marginal groups at the top such as female, BAME, LGBTQ. T…

I think there can and should be a distinction between blaming feminism for everything and not bowing down to them on every issue. Unfortunately, most feminists and Menslib don't really tolerate allow any deviation of opinion. They have policed and convinced most society and the media, than anything else is a extremist view for pariahs. Everything other than the feminist dogma is automatically assumed to be misogynistic or supporting patriarchy, and automatically places you in the camp of fringe …

I don't know about resources or books, but I've certainly not seen many rich and successful women (nor men) adcovate for fairer wealth distribution or opportunities for all. Celebrities like Beyonce or Rihanna are probably amongst the most privileged people on the planet despite their demographic. I think it's pointless framing one as worse than the other. I think marriage harms people of both genders. It's generally a historic relic of a bygone era that doesn't fit well into today's norms. Many married people either divorce (sometimes multiple times) or even worse still put up with unhappy marriages for the sake of unity or sanctity. I think both men and women need to be more free to commit to each other without the guilt imposed by churches and government institutions.

I think so. Some men can be addicted to the chase of sex in the same way some men get hooked on gambling and other addictions ect. I've heard of somebody willing to give up two months of wages to sleep with somebody. It's pretty sad and desperate in my opinion. There's exploitation all around.

Lara Croft has always been a pretty well loved character in the video game industry. She was tough as nails, intelligent, athletic, and pretty witty. So don't think male gamers necessarily oppose strong women, it's more that modern video games aim to be anti-male in the quest to be pro-women - which just isn't needed. Characters like Lara Croft were pretty badass already; shot male enemies aglore as the gameplay allowed, but it was never politically forced. She wasn't deliberately antagonistic a…

Promoting men to be more emotional is a rather unhelpful blanket term. It might help some men, but maybe not others. It doesn't take into account people's psychological stressors and character. It also doesn't take into consideration both the negatives and positives of emotional bluntless. If somebody for instance quite comfortable being reserved and it serves them well in life, then promoting them to show more emotions than is natural for them might possibly do more harm than good. Are they sch…
