11months is a great time to start communicating boundaries and expectations. I'd say you can have a talk to her about your expectations being met when discussing the topic. So you'd say something like "I feel you're very educated and knowledgeable about human rights which is why I love learning from you, I also feel that I don't get much of a chance to share my knowledge and positive opinions. Going forward I would like my voice to be respected as well, so I'd appreciate undismissed moments to j…

Well, I just got unsuspended which is good timing. There ARE stat's to back it up unfortunately, and it's up to us to challenge our mates and keep them accountable for their behaviour, unfortunately it falls deeply rooted in lax immigration laws and lack of integration. Generationally learned disregard for women. But theres not much we can do about that. In support of your statement though I was a bouncer for night clubs on the Gold Coast for 6 years and even I have been sexually assaulted by wo…

Unless it's an enthusiast yes, it's a no. That's the way the courts see it and that's the way men and women should see it. I think you'll be OK, but I also think this is a learning opportunity for you.

Ha, no it wouldn't. Sorry I just took this at face value didn't check his history, appreciate the context 😊

Edit: after reading OP's comments I conclude the courts will factor in his inexperience and age as well as any other neurological notes of concern and this will be a learning experience for him, hopefully the one and only. If any other young adults are perusing this thread I'd like to direct you to the Tea video on consent: https://youtu.be/u7Nii5w2FaI What country do you live in? Straight white men struggling in the courts for allegations and parenting rights: thank God I'm not systemically oppressed!

I'm a man and I'm Demisexual, discovered that after my stint at escorting. But my hormone cycle as a man is daily so I can be less Demisexual at 2 points in a 24hr period. I think hormones play a big part in this data and it would be interesting to see a census on these views at different points in hormonal cycle for women.

I have been through a lot of tram auric experiences. One of which was when I was called that (from no fault of my own, think they just didn't like my moustache). I just think the misrepresentation incites anger.

Agreed. I've not been falsely accused myself but it's an echoing story in public or private here in Australia. It's actually insane.

Women report poorer mental health and use primary mental healthcare more often, while men are less likely to seek care even though they are 3.7 times more likely to die by suicide. It is essential to tackle these gendered issues, including stereotypes on toughness; inequalities at work, in care provision and in housework at home; bullying; and domestic violence. Weird way to say "we need to solve generationally learnt avoidance coping"

I made a private men's health group because I wanted to help other men and give them a safe space, made me realise 70% of my mates are women lol

Because we aren't organising and mobilising like my mum did in the 60s. We NEED to stop being sad and feeling hopeless privately and get on the streets and protest. If you're Australian join your local Men's Shed club and immediately open the conversation, and demand public protests.

OK, I watched the ad. I get what their trying to say and it's a really good point actually because abusers usually act like friends to their victim and are childish. I think we're reading too much into it. I may be wrong and I know I'm going against the grain. Haven't had time to read the article maybe it says something about boys in there

I have my reservations about Indian men that unfortunately reddit won't let us have a civil discussion about as I believe I'm uneducated in the area and have experiential evidence only, in saying that, those reservations don't occlude the fact that Indian men are HEAVILY being discriminated against by their own government and this is getting so out of control. Good on you for sharing this information ❤️

I was going to share this but I see myself as pretty rational and I totally agree, those stats and cherry picking articles make it look bad. It's not great that's for sure but not crazy

Hey Jeff, single dad here who's been through family courts system do you have a signed parenting plan with the mother of your children? As if any ill blood arises having a 2bd apartment can prove your ability to upscale your lifestyle to accommodate your children. I would say wait for the 2bd as it's simply in the best interest for you and your children at this point in time.

Yeah the "lonely men" thing doesn't fit here, no data to back up that it's sexist and women use the app too. Strange take by op

There's an app I used after a life shattering experience roughly the same (but 100% my fault) called meetup and I've met so many cool men from it I've made friends with. Highly recommend.
